My husband is 5f10 without shoes, I'm 5f2 without shoes and I come up to just under his nose. In shoes I'm about an 2.5 - 3" higher and he is about 1.5" higher so I'm to the middle or top of his nose, depending on the shoes I wear. I always wear at least a 3inch heel.

Wow, you've really put a lot of thought into this, haven't you? I didn't think women were this aware and interested in height as men were.

Paula's hands are tiny. When she wears dark fingernail polish, it's even more noticebale how tiny her hands are. When the American Idol judges walked into the area where they were judging people, Paula always wore very high, (about 5 inch), heels. She looks like she might be less than five feet tall.

I believe that the heals make her look 5'1,however shes actualy shorter.
Sometimes she looks 4'11.
Anyway there is nothing wrong with being short,especialy 4 us women. Being short make us look very young and most important what we lack in height we make up for in our personality ^_^.

Giada Di Laurentiis is very petite, almost tiny. I saw her at a restaurant last weekend and she's no more than 5'0". I'm 5'3 and I was looking down at her! But she's very skinny and I've heard they used elevated floors on her show, so i guess that helps her a lot.
p.s. if you notice they never take full shots of her when she's walking on the weekend thing show, so she doesnt look tiny.

In an interview with her, she claimed to be 5 foot 2, but celebrities normally give themselves an inch or two of height. They're usually shorter than they claim. So I agree, I think Paula is 5' (maybe 5'1").

Many who remember articles on her from the 1980s say she was then listed at 5 ft. 2 but she has always appeared shorter to them and does so to me today.

I'm a bit over 5f2 without shoes on and in shoes i'm anywhere from 5f4.5 - 5f7 depending on the shoes so there is no way she is 5f2. She looks 5f2 with shoes on so I am going to say she is 4f11 max.

Giada De Laurentiis, although very slim, is on the tall side. On a Today Show segment she is shown standing next to Matt Lauer (listed as 5'11" and 6') and she's only a few inches shorter. In a recent Iron Chef special, Giada is partnered with Bobby Flay (5'11") and a little shorter than him. Even in heels that makes her between 5'6" and 5'8".

I have requested Glenn to add Giada de Laurentis and Rachel Ray to this site. I'm curious about Giada's height too. She can look petite or of average height. I've read that she's petite and that the kitchen counter for her show is built lower for her short stature. On the other hand, I saw a scene from her show where she walked out of a house to greet a group of people. She wore flat shoes (flip flops, I think) and when she was in the crowd, she was taller than or same height as the women and not too short compared to the men. That tells me she is probably average height between 5'4" and 5'5" w/o heels.

i saw paula several years ago at the beverly center (between her pop stardom and AI fame). all i can remember about her height is that she was so much shorter than i thought! my mom is 5'2, so i'm thinking paula's 4'11, tops. she was also much more beautiful in person, and also VERY kind and genuine, which is what matters in the end anyway.

I met Paula Abdul in 1993 and standing next to me (I'm 5'6) she appeared to be around 4'10. She had huge hair and was wearing 3" heels and barely came up to my chin. There is no way she is 5 feet tall.

I just saw her on Ellen, who I think is a good barometer of height due to her wearing sneakers or loafers. With Ellen in her sneakers (5'8) and Paula in 4 inch heels there was about at least a 5 inch difference. The top of her head was just below the Ellen's nose. IMO 4'11"

On an Exposé(Dateline I believe) she admitted to losing one inch after her surgeries. She said she was 5'2 then went to 5'1. No one should ever think she is 5'2 because she admitted to being shorter. But I would leave 5'0 up, because that looks more realistic to me.

All I can say is that waaayyy back when, I saw Paula in concert back during the peak of her musical career (July 92) and she was TINY! (I do recall her wearing heels during the dance routines as well) Everyone always comments on not small, but tiny she is so 4'11"- 5'0" seems more logical to me.

[Editor Rob: those pictures of her interviewing heidi 5ft 9 klum are pretty damning really. I think 5ft is as close as possible, but 4ft 11? hmm, not sure.]

They look about the same height in those two pictures minus the huge hair. But Heidi isn't really standing upright in both pictures, which probably took about an inch off her? The apple box can't be less than 20cm in height. And let's assume their heels are similar. So if Heidi is really the 5'9" as stated, this would make Paula 5' at best. Does anyone agree?

On Access Hollywood when they were talking about the Paula rumors, the show presented Paula and her accuser as if they were in somekind of boxing match. The two host said "Paula Abdul at a generous 5'2", very generous". Hmmm I wonder how generous.

She may have been 5'2" at her peak, but she also had back surgery from which could have subracted height from her already tiny frame. She's definately an inch or two shorter than 5'2".
