Nice that he's honest about his height.

Though Ricky was not as Good as Floyd or Manny ( High bar ), his style being very agressive was always more entertaining that I will give him. HE didn't duck any fighters and had a 95 % Win Ratio.
He is def a funny looking guy, though I am honest I would certainly not say that to his face.

I remember when he was fighting mayweather, he coined the named " Fatton Hatton" For Himself, to make fun of himself. He gained an extreme amount of weight between his fights, than would lose it and get in shape in time.
I really wanted him to beat Mayweather way back when, but knew it would be a longshot.
Editor Rob: just fell short of guys like Manny or Floyd, but still he had a very good career.

I don't think this guy really meant any harm, but you have to be careful when inadvertently perpetuating negative stereotypes.

YES!! I KNEW HE WAS 5'6"!!! lol
@Christian: I guess he says that because his Mexican equivalent would be 5'1"/5'2" range. So even though 5'6" is short for a guy the UK, there's still plenty of 5'6" range guys there. So in Mexico, there's probably a lot of 5'1" and 5'2" range guys walking around.

It's a tongue in cheek comment. The average Mexican is about 5'7-5'8
Johno said on 12/Jun/17
As the picture is, Ricky seems to average at this 5'6 listing but sincd i feel Rob's lean is taking some height off, i will give Ricky 5'5.75.

Rob is dropping more Posture. This **** Pictured here I don't think is over 5'5.5". Most Mexicans I see in New York are actually around his height so I am Not sure what he means. I know he is certainly alot Fatter than most People of his height.
Hard to believe this guy was one damn good athlete at one time.
I watched this whole photo session, I think about 60-65 people getting a photo and there was at least 10-12 men shorter than Hatton...this was England too, at 5ft 5.75-6 range, Hatton will see many guys out and about shorter than himself.
Actually, looking into the Mexican average, the biggest height study (done by National Chamber of the Garment Industry) put the Mexican average at 164cm range (with 18-25 year olds at 167cm), so naturally he felt much taller and is trying to make a joke about height.
He can have a Joke
about himself, when he put on weight.

In Los Angeles are many short mexicans. 5 foot 5 and below. Not all,but the majority of them.
Balrog said on 12/Jun/17
He would be pretty much average in Mexico, or barely above average. Weird quote. Next to Rob if he had same footwear, he looks close to 5'6''. I'd say 5'5.75'' to be precise, but 5'6'' is fine.

It's because many Americans and Europeans still believe in the stupid stereotype that all Asians and Latin Americans are midgets. Of course, Asians/Latins are on average shorter than Americans/Europeans, but not as much as people think they are. Not to mention, especially in developing countries, people who grew up in rich families are taller than those from middle-class and poor families, because of better nutrition and healthcare during growing years.
Lee168cm said on 12/Jun/17
Well there will be many below average height in Mexico i guess men of our height would only feel tall in Vietnam where the average man is bearly five foot. and didn't Sarah Michelle gellar say the same about filming in Japan when she's 5ft 2 and the average man is 5'7"?

This guy's an idiot. The average height in Mexico is 5'5.5" for men and 5'0.5" for women, according to a 2006 study. Click Here
So how would he feel like Gulliver when he's only a half inch taller than the average Mexican man?
ronald said on 10/Jun/17
less than an inch taller than pacquaio when facing off before the fight
closer to 5-5
maybe 5-5 and a quarter or so
Pierre said on 10/Jun/17
Rob is slouching more.Around 167 here imo

I see a lot of really short Mexican people in NYC. No lie a lot of the adult men were shorter than my 5'4 mother. I didn't see a single one above 5'8 and many were less than 5'4. If he went to the area I did in Brooklyn he'd feel comfortably taller than 70-80% of them.
Im puerto rican and although I never went to Mexico, I know theres a lot of different demographics, some have average height as low as 5'4 or as high as 5'7.5. Maybe he went to one of the poor short districts? From my experience with Mexican people an average height of 5'6 seems generous but again I've never been to the country, only on behalf of mexican americans i know the vast majority are sub170cm
MJKoP said on 9/Jun/17
What an ignorant quote...he'd be closer to feeling like Gulliver in Brobdingnag, because he'd still be under average height there.
Guest66 said on 9/Jun/17
At barely 5'6 you won't feel yourself like Gulliver anywhere, and most of Mexican men will be somewhere around this tall.
said on 9/Jun/17
Rob why do you always look more than 2 inches taller than any guy you have listed at 5ft 6 like they are barely over your eyebrows they always seem at least 3 inches shorter than you. Could it be camera angle or footware I've noticed that in a few photos
Editor Rob: well he's in about inch shoe, me in inch sneaker.
I wouldn't call Ricky a strong 5ft 6 though.
Gladstone Screwer said on 9/Jun/17
Rob's posture is fine, Ricky could do with a bit of erection. Ricky looks under 5'6" these days, top fighter that he was.
Andrea said on 9/Jun/17
Yeah, that could be the case. Maybe he's used to feeling short in the UK and being in a nation where the average is 3-3.5 inches less (which is quite a noticeable amount) makes him feel tall in a sense?

rob you loser posture next with Ricky Hatton
said on 9/Jun/17
Possibly a weak 5'6, especially considering that you seem to be leaning a bit...
But the question is: how can he "feel like Gulliver" in Mexico, where the average is supposed to be right around his height (5'6)? 🤔
Editor Rob: maybe he was exaggerating a little...and visiting a country with an average 3-3.5 inches less than say the UK, the difference becomes more obvious, you don't feel short...
Parker said on 9/Jun/17
5'6 on the money with Rob.
World Citizen said on 9/Jun/17
Good listing. Not taller not shorter.

Scroll down to the picture of Haye and Hatton. Hatton looks 5ft 3 compared to 6ft Haye.

I'd guess his wife in the pic with him would be 5'7 5'8 range without heels possibly 5'7.5" would you agree rob?
Johnny said on 25/Jan/17
@Rob how tall is the woman next to him?
The Exorcist said on 18/Nov/16
@Parker: I agree. 5'7" flat for Floyd.
Nik said on 17/Nov/16
I think he is near 5'5" than 5'6".

It was so clear he was going to blow up once he left the sport.

Hatton and Mayweather - is there over an inch difference? I'm not so sure
AJ said on 11/Nov/16
Perfect listing, he's slightly taller than pacquio.
Christian-196.2cm (6ft5.25) said on 10/Nov/16
He has the face of a big tall man. I didn't know who he was , so when I first clicked the page, I was expecting him to be at least 6ft tall.
said on 10/Nov/16
Yes, I think 5 ft 6 flat is fair.
Editor Rob: Arch, I think Hatton has a build that can make him seem 5ft 5, but I would say he is taller than a guy like McGuigan.
The Exorcist said on 9/Nov/16
Perfect listing. Textbook 5'6"
Realist said on 9/Nov/16
5'5 180 for Hatton
