Editor Rob I would say both these guys are very close in height in person...I think you'd need to have measured them both to see if there was more than 1/4 between them.

Posture, build etc. do add to it, Rory has shown incorrect or relaxed posture in photos, there are some pics of him next to Gwendoline and in one his knees are bent way out. There were some pics put up of him before and after filming s4 when he was working out and he had a much straighter back and looked in balance at 6'6.

Well after seeing him next to Gwendoline who is 6'3 with at least a 3 inch boost from her footwear i can't see him under 6'5. They were equal so he hits 6'6 give or take a fraction in normal footwear. Hence his claim i guess.

I've been said before that he wasn't 6'5.5. He always looked around 6'4.5 - 6'5 range in GOT. The maximum for him is 6'5 flat and that's it.

Editor Rob I think he's standing decent enough, I mean I'm a bit loose, but I do think a half inch has gone missing...not as bad as Colin Samuel who really looked solid 6ft 4 range.

Editor Rob in person his posture is ok, he certainly isn't 6ft 6 walking about, but with a longer than average head (possibly 10.5 inches) that can make him appear a bit smaller I think, but I would say no less than 6ft 5.

I would have thought there is 8.75" difference in the right pic that would make Rory 6'5 but no more,and we aren't sure Rob isn't dropping height.He can even look 6'4.5 on the left pic but Rob wouldn't be that far of course.6'5 is fine and the .5 is useless in my opinion.

To me, he looks the same height in photo as Clive Russell but Russell is slouching and McCann is standing with better posture. Like I said, I think McCann can still pull off 6'5" but I don't see 6'5.5" or 6'6" and never really have since I've been watching GOT.

It should be noted that he wasn't towered by the 7 foot tall Conan Stevens in their scene together in GOT, you'd think a solid 6 inch difference would be more prominent. There's some shots of them rehearsing their fight scene online. Stevens makes McCann look downright svelte by comparison BTW.

Editor Rob tough one, I've given him 6ft 5.5 but he can look just 6ft 5. I would say he might edge joe out if measured, but there probably isn't really much in it.

Thanks for uploading...Yeah its very small. Must be half inch difference. If Ryan is really a legit 6'4.5 then Rory could be 6'5.2 but I really think a strong 6'5 is a better fit. I think he'd be like Kurt Kurtznger height.

Editor Rob I think it this is close, I know Ryan has about a cm more hair in comparison to Rory so I'd say he appears a bit taller.

OK so he is 8.5 inches taller than you? You come 2 inches above his chin and let's assume his head is 10.25 so if say he really is 6'4.5 weak 6'5

Editor Rob in person I think he can look around 6ft 5...but then a guy like clive russell actually looked taller than rory did, but he has a slimmer figure which can always help.

Assuming it is about 8 inches from Rory's lower lip to the top of his head he "only" looks to have 8-8.5 inches on Rob here, which would put him in the 6-4 to 6-4.5 range, was it possible he was slouching? Granted his head might be 10-10.5 inches but I don't seem him taller than 6-4.5

To be honest the only worthy thing of Braveheart is the moving music and therefore I would consider a success. Thankfully I can enjoy the soundtrack without watching Mel Gibson flash his hairy thighs.

Definitely looks close to 6'5" even here. He looks close to my height (although he's got a stockier build and a lot more hair LOL) not 6'6". Next to Joffrey, et al. on GOT he often gives the impression of 6'5" range as well, not taller. Thought he was 6'6" or bigger back in Hot Fuzz.

And let's say there's a slight margin of error so 2 inches. Wouldn't he be more 6'4.5? I think he's 6'5 but I'm just wondering.

Yes, saw this guy playing golf a couple of months ago and he's definitely this height. He's also so brawny that he looks quite chunky on his own, then he stands beside someone else and you realise just how big he is.
