Well, I am 5'10" and I shook his hand and had our photo taken together. He is definitely 6'1" or 6'1-1/2" - no question about it. He is just so slender he looks like he'd be MUCH taller!

I was measured at just under 6-1 when I was a senior in hs like 17 years ago and I have been that height or greater since then in shoes.
But when I look at people like Obama and Jim Carrey and others they look so much taller than me I find it hard to believe that they are my height.

he was at my school today, because of fire code they had to stop letting people in, I got to shake his had, was like a foot from him with a fence inbetween. We were at eye level with each other. I'm 6'1 so I think he's got to be that height too.

i saw obama today at a san francisco speech, and on stage he looked about 6'1", but afterwards i shook his hand and if i wouldn't know better, i would have guessed 5'll", but i'll give him the benefit of the doubt and say it's possible he's 6 flat, which is my height, but no more. he looked smaller than me, and was absolutely dwarfed by his secret service guys. go back and look at more pictures of him next to people. i think he only looks tall because he is often standing alone and he has a thin frame with long legs compared to a small torso.
