When inducted into Rock n Roll Hall of Fame, BJA looks definitely taller than 5 ft 6 listed Ringo Starr. I think both wear chunky footwear. Tre Cool looked around same as Ringo or maybe slightly shorter than the percussive Scouser.

I would say he's probably 5'7". A friend of mine has met Billie and said he looked him right in the eye. We're both 5'7" so I believe that's an accurate estimate. Billie seems like a pretty little guy, though I don't think he's scrawny at all...

He has “funny” posture, probably because of the problem with his leg but, at least to me, he seemed to be 5ft 7. Most important of all, at age 65 he still is one of the greatest rock’ n ’roll live acts.

Billie often seems shorter than he is when standing next to people because the shoes he usually wears adds no height, unlike many tennis shoes commonly wore by most people that add an inch or more to height.

I would say he is 5'6. For reference my dad is 5'7.5. I met BJ twice and stood right next to him on one of those occasions and I would say hes noticeably shorter than my dad. Minimum of 5'5 though, no way is he 5'2 haha! I've also stood right next to the other members of Green Day and I would hazzard a guess that Mike is 5'8 and Tre is 5'4.

I have always considered him to be 5'6", 5'7" with sneakers. A lot of people seem to surpass the fact, that shoes affect height. Im not saying he uses big boots or anything, but shoes are usually a good explanation for celebrities height variabilities

And there is a picture of him with juliette lewis (who is also not as tall as they say) and she is short as well, i went to her show in atl and she is a little thing.. i don't know why they say they are taller than they really are.. he is very talented and that is all i care..

that is true, but on the flip side (lol) I think I can see why he might look shorter than he is - he seems to have quite a big forehead (at least in this pic ), and even quite a long leck, so he looks like he could be 5'8 stood straight, but with a 5'6-5'7 body

Glenn....Billy is 5'7 indeed, the illusion is due to his thinner body compared to say someone like you. unfortunately most of the time he got these weird jeans on making his legs appear very short, if he ever dressed like any other guy (proper) he would look taller than you because of his body frame.

Last year at a Green Day concert I went to with my friend we saw Billie Joe and on stage he was wearing these shoes that gave him a least an inch to his height. He is listed everywhere at 5'6" so that is probably the most accurate for him. 5'6"

Well, I met him and Mike at a concert and Mike was at least 5'10 and Billie was about three inches shorter. He was only a little taller than me and I'm 5'6. But also you have to take his shoes into account, those have a couple of inches on them as well. It's amazing what gorgeous men can get away with.

Saw Billie Joe on SNL standing right next to Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake. He was about the same height as Cameron (I've heard her say she's 5'9"), maybe even a half an inch taller than her.
