Jude Law is 5'10 and maybe 160 pounds. Being so lean can help you exaggerate your height. I am 172 myself but have a more squarish build so at 5'9.5 exaggerating my height usually doesn't work unless person is much shorter than me.

Easily above 5'10 in my opinion. Look at the photo on Robert Downey Jr's page - Downey has probably a bit over an inch footwear over Law (maybe like 1-1.25 inches?), is standing straighter, and is standing closer to the camera (maybe accounts for 0.25-0.5 inches perceived difference) and you can still tell Jude Law is significantly taller. 5'10 1/4-1/2 I'd say.

Editor RobThere can be a preconceived idea of somebody being a certain stature or height. Then when you meet that person and they don't live up to it, maybe your view becomes one of underestimation or over-exaggeration.

Editor RobI would expect Jude might look a bit taller than yourself. I would class you as a 5ft 10 guy, not really that weak because you don't fall much under. If you headed towards 177cm flat, that's getting into weaker 5ft 10 territory.

What a strange subject matter this film covers. Who'd volunteer to have a device shoved into his body in order to go on no-holes-barred 'trips'? I certainly wouldn't but I might have been tempted when I was young - MIGHT! - but still, it's most unlikely.
If you play this 'game' too much, you'd risk being unable to differentiate between reality and fiction, with disastrous results. You'd grow bored with what normal life has to offer, and - OMG! - the whole concept of morality would fly out of the window. When Jennifer Jason Leigh tells Jude that he shouldn't have killed the restauranteur, he asks, "Why? It's in the game!" Then he's brought back to this freaky situation and serves up the most revolting meal, with a tasty addition of two-headed amphibians, which are supposed to be a delicacy, and very nutritious. 😂🐸🐸😋

In Cold Mountain, Law walks beside Nicole Kidman (five ten and a half) and Donald Sutherland (six foot three) and seems taller than Kidman and roughly the same height as Sutherland. Of course, they're walking on sloping ground, and Law gets the high side of the slope.

Every adult over 25 should know their exact height within a 1/2 inch. When a guy claims everything from 5’9 to 6 foot it sets off dbag alarms for me. I’m 5’10 myself, so claiming 6 foot is insane. Just own 5’10, you are a normal height. It’s not like 5’3 and claiming 5’4 trying to save face which is understandable.

I'm 6ft 3" and he was only a wee bit shorter. I was very surprised to see he was that tall, I always assumed he was about 5ft 9/10 from everything I'd see him in.

I think the reason behind this discrepancy is his posture. I noticed a Captain Marvel still in which he was slouching and I saw him in The Young Pope where his posture looked considerably different. He seems to be the type of actor who is constantly changing his body language,manner of walking and posture for every role. In Captain Marvel,he's hunching over Vers,which could be the sign of proteciveness or possession toward her. It is pretty noticeable during their sparring session. In The Young Pope,his posture is straighter and his head is held high which totally fits his character.

I think the reason behind this discrepancy is his posture. I noticed a Captain Marvel still in which he was slouching and I saw him in The Young Pope where his posture looked considerably different. He seems to be the type of actor who is constantly changing his body language,manner of walking and posture for every role. In Captain Marvel,he's hunching over Vers,which could be the sign of proteciveness or possession toward her. It is pretty noticeable during their sparring session. In The Young Pope,his posture is straighter and his head is held high which totally fits his character.

Jude is the type of guy that tries to be whimsical/funny all the time he certainly is taller then 5'9. He isn't 6'0 either which he knows full well. Basically he isn't going to give a clear answer to a question like this. This listing seems about right to me.

I doubt the ground is flat, but Jude actually looks no taller than 5'9" for once! I wouldn't guess Ewan over 176 cm myself, but maybe there is more of a chance of 5'9.5" than I thought. Or he has some extra help in those boots. Jude's height is one of the biggest mysteries on this site.

Editor RobI think Jude likes to keep people guessing. Overall I would say he never looks under 5ft 10 and never really as tall as 6ft....but anywhere from 5ft 10-11 I think he could appear.

Man that's crazy, it seems no one can agree on this guys height. I'm seeing guesses as low as 5'7" and as high as 6' in the comments. Honest, rare self-proclaimed 5' 9" and that's barefoot. So 5' 10" in shoes, 5' 11" and easily passes for a 'strong' "Hollywood 5-11" from other industry types' POV (point of view) who stand 5' 7" to 5' 9" and claim "5-11" to "6 feet." Definitely a good looking, smooth dude.

I was on the same train as Jude Law on the way to Wembley to watch a spurs match not long ago. I am 5ft11.25 and he seemed to be taller then me. I would say he's touching 6ft. Editor Rob never knew a 5ft 11 man who claimed 5ft 10 and 9...but it's of course not impossible for a 5ft 10 and change guy to drop a fraction. He might not care as much about height...might have been a bit over 5ft 10 and whoever measured him said 5ft 10.
That's always something worth considering if you are being measured - don't rely on what the nurse/doctor is reading out, check it yourself. They can make little errors now and then.

How come for every other actor if they claim a reasonable low we say "oh they can't be any taller than this claim! Nobody would claim anything lower than that" but with Jude Law we have to assume he's taller? If the guy says he's 5'9" he's probably 5'9.9" out of bed max. There's nothing wrong with that. Care to fill me in on why, Editor Rob?

5ft 10 seems too low. He holds up too well against Michael Caine and 6ft 2 Richard e Grant to be a flat 5ft 10. I really think 5ft 10.5 is his absolute minimum despite what he has said (in jest)

I don't really get why my uncle who is only 5ft7 himself described Jude as a 'little fella' when he met him in London. He would have a good 3 inches on my uncle. However when I walked past him in Paddington he defo did not look tall, very average actually but I guess pavements can distort things!

I've seen only one concern listed below that I agree with, and it's that it's really hard to imagine Daniel Craig being listed taller than him. I saw the picture, below, but it's not enough evidence. I'd always argued that Craig was shorter than his listing here, probably by around half-an-inch.

I'm not trying to attack you either, Rob, i know you do a great work with this site but at times it seems that celebrities' claims can "completely" change your mind... I seriously think this is a fairly generous listing. I think 5'10.5" is far more accurate, maybe even 5'10.25".

I wouldn't be surprised if Jude Law is a lift wearer. He can look anywhere from 5'10 - 6'0 next to Michael Caine.

Good looks and pretty decent actor aswell. He's a tough one to pin point. Yes, he can look 5'9 at times but i still think he's taller than that. I've seen him listed as high as 182cm which is a bit of a stretch in my opinion. Personally, i think a weak 5'11. To me he looks 178-179cm most of the time but 180cm out of bed is very much possible.

Jude Law is 5'9" because he said he is 5'9". It's amazing he admits to being that height cause most people who are 5'9", famous or not famous claim to being 5'10" or even 5'11". I'll say it's possible he got measured at 5'9" and perhaps he was measured incorrectly, either because he was slouching or they didn't put the measuring level on the top of his head and rather the bottom edge. I think it's possible that he is 5'9 3/4 or even 5'10' if he wasn't measured correctly. He's at least 5'9" barefoot and at most 5'10".

When I walked past him in london he struck me as being around my height. I am a legit 5'7 and to be fair that day I did wear thick trainers boosting me to 5.7.5-5'8 and he was hunched in posture.
