Bob Marley would, and indeed, should have turned three quarters of a century today.

He died a tragically early death in 1981, aged just 36.

5ft7.

Hey Rob while looking online I found some info on Bob's fathers height.
Check it out it says he was only 5ft 5 which means Bob had close to 2 inchs on him. Do you feel most men grow taller than there father's ? I'm 5ft 8 and my own father was 5ft 4 peak and his father was 5ft 3.
Editor Rob
A percentage will grow taller, another percentage shorter.

I think access to good food/medicine means there will be greater chance of reaching potential in last few generations compared to some periods of time.

Hey Rob today I'd give Bob bang on 170cm looks that range a flat 5ft 7 guy not all that short for the time don't you think Rob ?
Editor Rob
I think it may be a possibility, but I wouldn't go over it.

Hey Rob do you think theres any chance at some point he might mesaure in the low 5'7 ranges maybe 5ft6.75 ? From some live stage videos I've watched he does a lot to look very close to 170cm
Editor Rob
I wouldn't go above 5ft 7 range, but then don't think he was just 5ft 6 flat either.

After seeing pics of him in his early wailer days I'd put him at bang on 170cm. Seems in some pics he's slouching a little can make him look slightly smaller

169 cm. surprised this lad doesn't have more guesses!

Looks a good shout for him definitley looks a low 5,7. What would you have guessed his weight at Rob ? Maybe between the 135-140 range he looked to always be in good shape quite lean.
BrandonB said on 7/Oct/15
was he ever 5 ft 7 Rob or always a tiny bit under? .
[Editor Rob: I think he could look as short as 5ft 6, but maybe at times near 5ft 7.]

6'3" for Marley?! Yeah, Marley would have just be a bit under average I guess.
Alex said on 23/Aug/15
George Harrison told a fan he was 5'9 or 5'10 I think he's a solid 5'9 I think Marley is 5'7.25
MrTBlack said on 23/Aug/15
Have seen 6'3" listings for him! But yeah this range sounds roughly accurate
AdeyP said on 21/Aug/15
Taller than some people think.
TJE said on 21/Aug/15
Rob, can you add "I Shot the Sheriff" to his credits?
Sam said on 20/Aug/15
I'm of the opinion that Harrison topped out around 5'9.25" whereas his bandmates John and Paul were no more than 5'10", possibly more 5'9.75", at peak.
Alex said on 19/Aug/15
George Harrison must be only 5'8 or 5'9 if Marley is only 5'6
Sam said on 18/Aug/15
Thanks for the addition!
Some bios such as this claim that he was as low as 5'4".

But Marley doesn't look that much shorter than George Harrison.

Marley with Peter Tosh, who've read was only six feet tall, hate to know how short the other guy was.
