@Rampage Viper and Rob: I’d have listed him 6’1.25. I’ve seen Vernon Davis get listed 6’3.5 (amongst others) when he measured 6’3.25 earlier in the day. Up close, Davis is max 6’3”. There’s a chance 6’1.25 isn’t even his low and that is likely what he measured. It’s likely that the 1/4” was inflated to half as we see that a lot watching the combine If say a guy is measured 6’4 1/4 they call him 6’4 1/2
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 25/Nov/21
Editor Rob: yeah, that is pretty much a good chance, rather than over 6ft 1.5 (which is the most I can see him).

It’s the shortest I’d give him. I don’t understand the 6ft2½ listing originated unless they measured him in his boots. Other than that I can believe he maybe measured 6ft2 at an earlier morning appointment, then got 6ft1¼ and 6ft1½ at later times. I’d rule out 6ft1 flat and the full 6ft2

Rob, is 6ft1¼ an arguable listing for Brian?

He really doesn't look taller than 6-1

I'd downgrade him up 6-1 1/4, as that's what he measured
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 26/Jun/21
ok, 6ft4 and 5ft11¾ are both flat out ridiculous....neither is true. Anywhere 6ft1-2 range is fair

Am i the only guy here who remembers how hyped he was coming out of college and his agent even saying his was 6-4” initially. Than as he got closer to the supplemental draft his height started going down being mentioned at 6-2 1/2 than 6-2.
Finally when he was measured the team was so disappointed they called him a DB) Even Bos wore shirts that said monster DB! He measured with no shoes on at 5-11 3/4 and the Seahawks were pissed and that started the DB talk as they said he was too small to be an NFL lb!!
As the season neared his sub 6-0” measurement with no shoes went away and he started being measured at 6-1. With shoes. His height was actually ridiculed by prognosticators. His agent put it in his contract that he be listed at 6-2 as he wanted movie rolls after football.
Very clear the whole Monster DB thing!
Sub 6-0” without shoes and 6-1” in shoes! So true!

I’d tweak this by an extra quarter
Canson said on 11/Apr/19
Rob also listed Deion Sanders at his draft height. Even if we only see one occurrence of 6’1.25 that Viper pointed out, maybe 6’1.5 is fair and a happy medium. Him saying he’s “just 6’2” makes it sound as if he doesn’t feel that tall in general and that could be rounded up from 6’1.5

@Rampage: Viper has a point in that he measured that mark at some point
viper said on 10/Apr/19
I'm a troll for posting his measured heights.

OK bro
MrTBlack said on 10/Apr/19
Perhaps 6’1 3/4” Rob?
Editor Rob
Well the question is 6ft 1.5 the best mark, as it's been mentioned a few times.
khaled taban said on 10/Apr/19
I'd say he is around 6'1 1/2
viper said on 9/Apr/19
He measured 6-1 1/4.

Of course you don't want him as that.
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 9/Apr/19
Viper is obviously a troll who should never have been allowed return
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 8/Apr/19
I’m all for him being a little shy of 6ft2 but not as low as 6ft1 flat.
viper said on 8/Apr/19
He also measured 6-1 1/4.

That's what he should be listed as. Rob listed Lawrence Taylor's low of 6-2 1/4
viper said on 7/Apr/19
The 6-2.5 is obviously a typo when he was measured at 6-1 1/4 and 6-1 1/2
Jimhopper said on 7/Apr/19
More 6-1 imo. Height inflation
viper said on 7/Apr/19
Yes he was measured at 6-1 1/4 and
6-1 1/2 just like Lawrence Taylor.
Canson said on 7/Apr/19
@Rob: if he measured sub 6’2 like 6’1.5 why not list him at that?
Editor Rob
He could have measured that mark.
Canson said on 7/Apr/19
@Viper and Christian: yea that makes no sense
viper said on 7/Apr/19
Just more evidence that Stone Cold is
6-0
Christian 6'5 3/8" said on 6/Apr/19
@Viper
Yeah, what Brad said didn't make much sense. If anything, athletes typically inflate their height rather than deflate. Same goes with actors and people in other fields.
viper said on 6/Apr/19
Rickey Jackson has a 6-2.5 listing, yet he was measured at 6-1 and looks it.
viper said on 6/Apr/19
Rob, there are multiple mentions of 6-1 measurements.

There is only one mention of that 6-2.5, which he obviously isn't.
Editor Rob
There's another mention from 1987 draft report that scout compiled.

I mean 6ft 1.5 is of course possible, I would be more surprised if he was 6ft 2.5.
viper said on 6/Apr/19
I show evidence he's just a flat 6-1 and Rampage still thinks he's "over 6-2"

😀
viper said on 6/Apr/19
Rob, he was measured at 6-1 1/4.

Look at all the different exact measurements in that long list. Very specific.

No chance hes his listed height or even taller
Editor Rob
But then what about the 6ft 1.5 too, is that a different measurement.
Vegas' said on 6/Apr/19
Shorter than Goldberg on longest yard
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 6/Apr/19
He’s been described 6ft1 up to 6ft3

Both I think are unlikely
viper said on 6/Apr/19
He was never 6-2.

Peak 6-1 and maybe down to 6-0.5 now If he has shrunk any.
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 6/Apr/19
Taller than Steve Austin in The Long Yardest
viper said on 6/Apr/19
Brad, why would he be taller than his listed height? More than likely he would be shorter since it's his college listing.

And he is shorter being 6-1
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 5/Apr/19
Rob, how likely is 6ft2½?

Definitely think he was a 6ft2 range guy in the 90’s
Editor Rob
Well look at the previous comments, he has been described 6ft 1 up to 2.5, it's a big margin! What he was measured? I don't know.
viper said on 5/Apr/19
He wishes he was "just 6-2."

He's just 6-1
viper said on 5/Apr/19
Found a 6-1 1/4 measurement.

6-1 1/2 also here. Click Here
viper said on 5/Apr/19
Here is a 6-1 mention. Click Here
Editor Rob
Yeah I saw there was 6ft 1.5 too, it shows that from 6ft 1 up to 2.5 has been given to the guy.
I don't know which is the actual measurement though...
Miss Sandy Cowell said on 5/Apr/19
Ha ha! I knew his face was extremely familiar, and now I read that he acts as well as having played football. Had he only ever played football, I wouldn't have recognised him at all!

My first impression when I looked at his picture was, "He should be an actor with those looks!"

Well he is, following in the footsteps of Vinnie Jones and such like. Along with Vinnie, he is a tall fellow. How can he say, "I'm just 6ft2?" That's mega tall, unless you happen to be a basketball player!

So 6ft2 it is then - peak height. I can imagine he's lost around half-an-inch by now.

Viper,
Brian entrerecd the Summer 1987 Supplemental Draft. Not the Regular NFL Spring Draft. So, there was no February NFL Combine for Boz! He was planning on playing one more season @ Oklahoma at the time. His 6’2-1/2” & 238 lbs measurement & weigh-in was from a private pre supplemental summer draft workout for NFL scouts.
Editor Rob
There are some mentions of him sub 6ft 2, 6ft 1.5 is one instance.

I don't know what this guy really measured, 6ft 2.5 does seem a high figure for him.
viper said on 4/Apr/19
Rob, he was measured at 6-1 in the newspaper archives.
Editor Rob
Is there a newspaper and date with the mention, as I notice it said something in April 87 about supplemental draft. It looks like he was being called 6ft 2.5 at college.
RP said on 4/Apr/19
Peak 6’2”...now 6’1.5”
grizz said on 4/Apr/19
I wish I was "just" 6'2. Dude's the perfect height and yet he's bitching and moaning about it (yeah, I understand that in the context of nfl it's average, but even average is awesome for that department).
Editor Rob
I believe he was saying just 6ft 2 as he was up against a 6ft 5 player, hence the just.
Bradley said on 3/Apr/19
More than likely taller. A lot of ex pros deflate heights and weight to get motion picture and TV roles. He's a big guy.

Heights are barefeet estimates, derived from quotations, official websites, agency resumes, in person encounters with actors at conventions and pictures/films.

Other vital statistics like weight or shoe size measurements have been sourced from newspapers, books, resumes or social media.
