Billy zane destroyed him he also didn't look big next to remar.
He did carry a good deal of bulk in his early years maybe 170 at 5 10.5.
The rare occasion he got a decent role his acting was good for a martial artist.

Editor Rob well he looked taller up close, of course he has wooden sandals so naturally looked taller, as I had mentioned before I seen him the next day around the place and he looked more nearer 5ft 10-10.5 range.

Editor Rob up close he looked around 5ft 11 range for sure...but as said I have inch sneaker he has 2 inch sandal. I mentioned I saw him the next day and he looked nearer 5ft 10 in more normal footwear walking about.

The fact the you have a photo with him is AWESOME!!! Though Robin shoe must me close to 6ft, he was a tad taller in Mortal Kombat, but I'll have to watch it again(and for some reason I've seen this guy listed 177cm, man, the Internet sucks with height!)

I always thought he looked more Chinese than Japanese, having the very long, narrow eyes that the Mongolians and nearby Chinese had.

179cm looks quite right. This guy usually looks small on his movies(you can blame all the 6'0" 200lbs guys he's cast with) but he is really a big guy, bigger than most people would expect and one tough son. Smart too, he knows the wildlife very well. Sorry, I jsut feel nostalgic from 2004 when I saw him in person.

In the photo, he looks 3 to 3.5" taller than Rob. Subtract 2" at least, and you have a 5'9 1/2" guy. He's fairly tall for an Asian.

He's barefoot and level with the central part of Dolph's nose. That's 6-6.5 inches. Deduct say an inch from the boots, Dolph is roughly 5 -5.5 inches taller. Do the math it points to Dolph being 6'4"-6'4.5" which Rob has him listed at. 5'11" looks spot on.

I have Showdown in Little Tokyo on DVD in in one scene he is standing barefoot with tightly slicked back hair so you can see his real height. Dolph looks about 6 inches taller in boots than him barefoot so I'd say he has to be around 5'11".

Editor Rob well this is a publicity shot ;-) But honestly, just looking at that pic, lee isn't 2 inches taller, because the camera looks set nearer the 5ft mark and Lee is several inches closer. Compare tagawa to someone on the same plane, like Lundgren, or even carrere is a little closer to tagawa than brandon...I've not seen him with shou, so can't comment

He seemed shorter than Wesley Snipes, so 5-9 or 5-8 is probably more accurate. If he were 5-11 he would actually look tall, which he doesn't in any of his movies I have seen, rising sun, mortal kombat, or geisha.
