English Heavyweight Boxer. He has said he was 6ft 3. In this photo, I was wearing Converse, whilst he had a running sneaker that gave him near 1/2 inch footwear advantage over me.

The biggest physical challenge I had to face, however, was a spinal surgery in March 2015. I herniated a disc in my lower back 10 years ago and years of intense training wore this disc away. This caused fragments of disc to push into my spinal nerve passage, resulting in chronic pain and loss of function in both legs, and an operation was required to put a two-centimetre metal cage between two vertebrae and implant two metal rods with screws and bone grafts to fuse it all together.
I went into surgery 191 centimetres tall and came out 193.
I swear I'm six foot three. I've been measured.

Just read a funny exchange in David Haye's authorised biography between Haye and the author David Worsell. The later states that the records on the boxing site Boxrec are full of inaccuracies and as an example of such errors tells Haye that they have him down as 6'3'' when he is 'not even that height in heels'. In reply Haye rather plaintively insists that he has actually been measured as 6'3''.
Its comical that even Haye's approved biographer calls him out on his height claims. Worsell also refers to David Price as being 6'7''. If accurate this puts Tyson Fury's 6'9'' claims into even more doubt as Price is definitely taller than Fury and always looks that way when they stand together.

@Viper, you're the only one who's most acurrate here. Yes He'sthe same height to the Rock and Joseph Parker in pics I've seen. He shpuld be listed at 6ft 2 1/2in. If he straightens up you can see he'd been 6ft 3in as his nose bridge is level with top of Robs hair and he's leaning in more that Rob. Take away the 1/2 in footwear then he's 189.2cm

A half inch is fair. Converse is like 0.7 inches and Haye’s trainers are like 1.2 inches. I would say Murray is like 2cm taller than Haye. 6’1.25 vs 6’2 or 6’1 vs 6’1.75 are the most likely possibilities.

Problem is Wlad and Harrison made Haye look so small at times and he often looked nearer 6 foot 1 with them. Even though most will say Wlad wears lifts even in flat boxing shoes were Wlad could not have wore big lifts the difference was very still noticeable.

I noticed over the years that many people be claiming they´re 6´3 but they really don´t. What do you think, what percentage of the world population is 6´3 and over ? There are Kids, old people, women etc... It has to be at around 1% of the whole population, I estimated.

Editor RobSurgeries to correct knee or back problems could potentially add something. In David's case I'm not sure about his claim. There may be something to it, but he hasn't suddenly looked taller in recent years, from what I can tell.

The 193cm claim is obviously an exaggeration because even if he "grew" 2cm, he was never 191cm to begin with.

I think myself and Froch would measure the same, a few mm under 6ft. I would say there is a 4 cm difference between Froch and Haye rather than 2 inches hence I would put Haye around the 6'1.5 mark maybe 6'1 3/8 however this is more how he looks generally in photos which is a fair assessment in it's own right. These 6 foot claims for Haye are completely untrue. Haye often slouches and this makes him look smaller than his is. He is clearly taller than 6'1.5 Ross by a inch or even 1.5 inches. Haye is not shorter than 6'2 and I think his real height is 6'2.5

They are standing either side at the same distance so the camera angle isn't a factor in making haye look bigger than he is. In that photo he looks no more than an inch shorter than Joshua. And yes the photos at Wimbledon with joshua a couple years ago made me laugh aswell as he's stretching every fiber in his body to look as big as possible and Joshua still dwarfs him.
