The picture of him with Obama is an eye-opener. Barack is 6'1" and They look exactly the same height. Now giving Dwayne the benefit of all doubts and also accounting that he shaves his head, 6'1.5" is possible. My guess is 6'1.25" with conceivably a 6'2" peak when he was younger and on the juice (more). Rob please consider a downgrade of about one inch!

@Guanzo and Anonymous: hogan hasn’t been 6’4” in prob 20 plus years. It’s hard to tell from that angle how tall either is but if Rock is 6’2” or even if he were 6’2.5-.75 peak Hogan definitely isn’t anything close to 6’4” maybe he’s 6’3” at best as it would be a lot harder to determine who is taller since we are looking at it from that angle. Rock has likely never been anymore than a guy who used to wake up “above 6’3”. Maybe he still does hit 6’3” out of bed or near it but he’s no higher than that and only say hits 6’3” as he may lose an inch or could be a hair above 6’2 still possibly 6’2 1/8 and lose height throughout like anyone else does

i really don't see how people can even make a case for him being over 6'2 anymore.The picture with Barkley, the one with Haye (who is not 6'2) add to that the interview with him and Anthony Joshua recently was more than enough to show he is 187-188 range and no more, he was totally dwarfed in a way no legit 6'3 range guy would be next to Joshua who is probably a shade under the 6'6 he claims himself.

Not disputing he was slightly taller 20 years ago, 189-190 around that time was certainly possible/ likely.

That is a cop out honestly to say that they don’t measure people. It’s an opinion not a fact. And 6’4 5/8 is very specific. It’s not something they made up. There’s just no way his teammates etc say that he’s 6’4 range when he isn’t. And looking at a 6’2” Rock with Barkley that’s how he looks 194/195. Canson nothing contradictory about what I posted. The SNL clip we know that's the stage they normally film things on and we have full length shots of Barkley and nirvana anyway where he has same height on cobain and grohl.

As far as measurement goes no the Olympic fed does not measure athletes. We have been over this more than once so not starting another big debate on it. The NBA and NFL do measure yet you still pick and choose which you believe :)

@Checker: Dwayne looks solid 6’2” today almost no matter what Imho. A buddy of mine is 6’3” and met him and he’s 1” shorter not to mention he also looks an inch shorter than Vernon Davis. To be fair my Buddy met him recently within the last year and a half or so so he may have lost height by that stage but Rock also Also looks 6’2 with 6’4 5/8 measured Charles Barkley who the same friend met and said he’s 6’4/6’5 (estimated him at around 6’4 1/2) years back the last time he saw him. But for the Rock I don’t rule out him being taller peak than today. I can honestly see 6’2.75 possibly at a peak or at least 6’2.5 but you provided good evidence that he may only be 6’2 next to Eddie George etc. but I’d say he was at least a strong 6’2 tho like 6’2.25 at his lowest and 6’3” out of bed

Hogan vs Rock

Hogan was 6'4" in 2002.

Whenever he and The Rock had ring segments together,they both looked equal.
Hogan might had looked a bit more due to his cap kind of thing he used to wear on his head.

But when they came face to face in the ring,Hogan looked about 1 inch tall.

Which clearly means that Hogan was the one to use bigger soles in the ring.

Sam was measured early in the morning at 6'1.5 at the senior bowl. Hes probably just 6'1. And a lot of those even measurements at the combine are not actual measurements like Dez Bryant measuring 6'1 at his pro day or Aarron Rodgers measuring 6'1 at his pro day, yet get 6'2 listings from the combine.

I will give the Rock a benefit of the doubt, he does seem to stand slightly over 6'1-ish celebrities including Arnold Schwarzenegger and Barack Obama. (Arnold might have lost a little height since then) However, it is absolutely laughable that he has occasionally claimed he is ''''6'4''''', ''''6'4 and a half'''' and ''''6'5''''. Are you kidding me?? 6'5 is an absolutely outlandish claim. Back in his prime there is NO way the Rock has ever been over 6'3. He stands a little under Hulk Hogan who currently might be 6'4 or 6'3. Hogan might had looked a bit more due to his cap kind of thing he used to wear on his head.

But when they came face to face in the ring,Hogan looked about 1 inch tall.

Which clearly means that Hogan was the one to use bigger soles in the ring.

@Ricky: it can possibly appear a full inch to people if you have two guys even in equal footwear. However I agree with Danimal as he also knows that Rock was never that tall. If he appears it it is likely that he is favored in a pic. People here on this site tend to do that. They post a pic where Rock will be favored and be taller than Roman Reigns when in reality they are the same height. I posted a pic of them back to back and taking into account one that Reigns is leaning in the pic and two that he has hair and Rock doesn’t. Even taking all that into account they still looked the same height. Shoulders are dead even and head would be if they were both standing straight. So if Rock edges him legitimately it’s due to the fact that his 6’2-6’2.25 is at the top of his scalp whereas Reigns is at the top of his hair and it’s not much maybe 1/4”.

Strange as it might seem last year on holiday/business in California I was at a promotional party for a certain sports company and Dwayne was present at the promotion. Now I was slightly surprised to see he isn't as tall I thought. He's certainly wide and imposing though. My guess would be 6-2 maximum. I'm 5-11 and I had vans trainers on which give very little in height. He walked past me several times and had Nikes on if I recall correctly. A lot of stuff I found out in California is pretty false.

Rob do you think extreme heavy weight lifting is something tall guys should try too keep in moderation if they want too avoid premature height loss?

Tall guys look better with loads of muscle compared too short men because they don't have that squashed look. But overall I think heavy weight lifting is something which is more designed for shorter people (like Mark whalberg) because if your short you have a smaller spine which means you lose less height.

Now, I don’t want to believe this, but this is my best girlfriend since grade school so I’m seriously questioning his height and my feelings are totally hurt. :( Anyone think this could be true? I’ve been scouring photos on the internet trying to prove/disprove.

In 2002 Hogan was 6'3.75/6'4 and Rock 6'3 or a hair over.

The difference between Barkley and Johnson seems to be rather body. If we look only the top of heads, it's ok. But if we look at shoulders level, arms lenght, etc then it's big. Barkley have a longer (and better) body.

The last picture you posted was the picture of Nation Of Domination stable.

The guy standing at leftmost Kama Mustafa was billed at 6'6" but he was only 6'4.5" barefoot in reality.
In that picture Rock is looking taller but The Rock is an inch shorter than him.

The Rock's peak height is 6'3.5" in my opinion.

Last year the Rock was on the Graham Norton show with Jeff Goldblum and Liam Hemsworth. At 2:48, Graham says it's the tallest couch they've ever had (not true since he once had both Liam Neeson and Stephen Merchant on the same show). Interestingly, the Rock looked taller than Liam and marginally shorter than Goldblum.

Just because The Rock was described or billed 6'4" or 6'5" doesn't mean he's actually that tall. Wrestling exaggerates height all the time. Andre The Giant was described several times as 7'5", so does that mean he was really 7'5"? Of course not.

If a 1980's version of Hogan stood next to the Rock, he'd have easily 3" on him. By 2002, Hogan had dropped down to about 6'3" from 6'5"-6'6". He's closer to 6'2" today.

Agree with Ricky for current height. I’d say 188 absolutely no higher than 189. Peak was like 190. Doubt he’s lost more than a couple cm max

Eraaaa: you have to see strahan or Barkley next to him. Strahan was listed 6’5” his whole career and was actually measured 6’4.25 (likely just above 6’4 at his lowest) while Barkley was 6’6” on paper and was measured 6’4 5/8. That adds up as Barkley is really half inch or a cm on the rock. They both tower over The Rock

The Rock is 6ft 5.25, Grant Gustin is 6ft 2.5 (I think he's downgrading his height), Dave Bautista is clearly no less than 6ft 6-6ft 8, Jake Paul is like 6ft 2 and his brother is 6ft 5, Justin Beiber is 5ft 10 - 5ft 11 and Glenn is 5ft 8.5 - 5ft 10 (You clearly missmeasured him). End of story.


Oh and Rob Paul (Y'know, the guy from Celebheights) is 5ft 6, 5ft 5.75 could be argued!

A friend of mine who is 6’4 met the Rock about 5 years ago and said he had him by about an inch , possibly less as he had a slight footwear advantage.

Present height is more like 189 cm,looked a bit more when stood with Paul Walker(6'2")

But peak height can be upto 6'3" or 6'3.5"

@Jackson: Barkley does have a footwear advantage on The Rock. Look at one of the older posts months back that Christian posted and the picture is blown up a bit. Barkley in the pic looks maybe 2.5-3” taller when in reality it’s closer to 2.5” really all things considered. I think Barkley is a weak 6’5” like 6’4 5/8 and Rock maybe best case 188.5 maybe only 188. My buddy met him and he himself is 6’3” said he had him by about an inch. Maybe poor posture or shoe advantage or it was really more like 2cm or so but rock still isn’t much above 6’2 flat or 6’2 1/8
