Maybe him still claiming 6'5" is because he wants to keep his reputation as a 6'5" guy, since a lot of his fans know him as 6'5". This is why some celebs keep on exaggerating their height. They'll establish a certain height by claiming it for many years, but don't want to change it because of the fear of being busted for lying. On one side, I would like for Rock to finally be honest and claim 6'3" or 6'2.5", but on the other hand, it might be better to just stick with the 6'4"/6'5" claims or else he'll be called out for lying and will look like a fool.

If I was only 6'5" flat at afternoon, I would just claim 6'5" maybe sometimes 6'5.5" I wouldn't bother adding an inch. If I was only a flat 6'5" my out of bed height would be 6'5.75", which is not tall enough for a 6'6" claim, especially when I go by the rule that people shouldn't claim past their morning height.

Question for you if you were maybe 6'5 flat would you still claim the 6'5.5/6'6 or would you claim 6'5?

Go watch season 2 episode 1 of ballers on HBO. There is a scene were Dwayne and Terrel Suggs are face to face. Suggs is a legit 6'3. In the scene Dwayne is easily an inch shorter than him. That 6'5-6'4 stuff is a bunch of crap. I love being 6'0 even!

He is surely 193 cm tall. 6ft 4in. I was his stand-in for a few days while he filmed Hercules in Budapest. They chose me 'cause they said I am exactly as tall as him and I'm 193. I stood near him. So I could check it for sure.

The Rock is 6ft 2. I found a pic of him standing beside Big Van Vader. I've met Vader. He is a flat 6ft 3in. When he was drafted by the LA Rans Vader was precisely measured at 6 ft 3 in and 5/8. Given aging he is a gnat 6 ft 3 in now. In the picture Vader had an inch over the Rock even accounting for the Rocks posture is the photo.

That's your own personal preference and I respect it, but 6'1" or 6'2" is the ideal height for most men. You'll receive more privileges and benefits of being over 6ft than being under. But I think it stops once you are maybe past 6'3". A 6'3" man would have all the advantages that a 6'4"+ man would have (except for basketball) And anything past 6'6" is a negative I feel. I admit that I'm a bit envious of 6'3" guys. Even Canson, a commentor on celebheights (who's 6'4 3/8") and some of his taller friends all said that 6'3" is the best height, and I agree with them.

I never know with the rock. He's gotta be around 6'3. That's all I know. He's def not 6'5 but I also don't buy him as 6'2 or under either. One thing to consider too is that the rock is bald and a bald person can appear shorter than someone with hair even if they are the same height. You can look 1-2 inches shorter just by shaving your hair.

I would be very surprised if he wears any lifts. He doesn't seem like an insecure guy at all unlike Vin Diesel. The chances of Dwayne wearing lifts are very slim, although not impossible. Maybe he just coincidentally wears thicker soled shoes when he meet guys that are taller than him.

Fix the camera angle and make both stand bolt straight and u would get 1.25 inches or so difference. David is probably isnt a full 6 4 anymore either. So yes dwaynes max height can be given at 6 2.5 .

The rock at best is 6'2.5" but more like a true 6'1.5". Statham on the other hand is not very tall. Rose was noticeably taller placing him at a best of 5'10" but more like 5'9". I wasn't much shorter than the rock based on the the eye test and definitely taller than statham on the same eye test.

The other day I found myself on youtube watching old wrestling clips, as expected in the suggestions was a few clips with Dwayne, so I watched a few from the attitude era and the ruthless agression era.
His posture can make him look a couple of inches shorter at times, when his opponent is shorter ( lets take Cena since he is this gen's big star)he tends to slouch forward. He still has a good 2 inches on Cena when straight and he doesn't look less than 6' so he isn't under 6'2" today there is just no way.

Can you put for most discussed celebrities who may have lost height a peak height and a current? Not only for those who you listed with peak and current...
For example the average Rock's height was 6ft 2.69 inc before that you put peak and current and today is 6 ft 2.94 in...because a lot of people listed him shorter for the current height.
Same as HHH who has an average guessed height at 6 ft 1.82 in...But this is affected for the fact that lot of people voted for current height...I' m sure that if you give the possibility to vote for peak and current it woul be like peak 6 ft 2-2.25 in and current 6 ft 1.75 inc

Actually now that you mention it, Rob, my father was 6'0.25" peak, but I remember by mid to late 40s working construction, he was below 6 feet and now another 2 decades later, only around 5'11".

I really think its injury related if it's in your 40's. Keeping your back and shoulders strong and not slumped forward probably increases the chances of maintaining height too. Things like nutrition and rest are key. Some guys just choose to neglect them even when they work hard labour intensive jobs...

At first it seems odd he'd lose height by age 40, but that's because he's been so successful as an actor, you almost forget he was a wrestler by trade and they can easily lose noticeable height by that age. 6'2.5" seems about right now, but I can definitely buy 6'3" peak if you look at a 30 year old Rock in sandals with a 187 cm Arnold Vosloo, who should be about 6'3" in his shoes: Click Here Rock is clearly taller even with a slouch. 6'3" seems low for Hulk at that time, same with 6'2" max today. Editor Rob if you work a tough job, hard yacker like on a building site, plasterer/tiler or something like that, by age 40 you will do well to hold onto the same height at age 20.

@McMc Well my uncle is 6'2" and has a large frame, and he seems pretty huge to me. So i could picture meeting The Rock if he is 6'2.5" these days, definitely a guy i do not want to mess with in person since he has a weight advantage over me and jacked with muscle.

One of the first things they did was all of the current measurements. If memory serves, Mick mentioned that in his heyday, he was a legitimate 6'5" and now he was barely 6'2". After he did Page's system with the yoga and diet, his back had straightened out his posture and he was 6'5" once again. He also lost about 100 pounds. I'm 42 now and in my 30's I was always 6'3" no matter what time of day. My older kids came for a visit a month ago so we went out to the garage to put up new measurements on everyone and to my dismay, I was now 6'2" and a half. Time and age take a toll on us. That being said, I would guess the Rock to be around 6'2" right now.

He does have a slight footwear advantage but he's 5-6 cm taller tops meaning he'd be 6'4.5 rock 6'2-6'2.25 (this is how a friend of mine described Barkley as about my height and rock 6'2 maybe he undercut a hair but how he looked). He was a solid 6'3" at peak ( evidence aplenty in the attitude era) and so got the 6'5" claim from thick wrestling boots. Back then he also claimed 6'4" in private life so that could have been a morning measurement. Alot of guys do this when they served in the military as you get measured early. NO idea if Dwayne served though.
Nowadays he can look between 6'2" -6'3" so right in the middle as Rob has him is a great listing. Like alot of guys who lift for years he has the old Ostrich neck going on so can appear shorter at times. Goldberg is far worse in that respect his posture is horrible now.

Surprised how tall he looked next to the Jonathan Ross in 2009 on the show. He could defo look a solid 6"3/6"4 guy. He was a lot leaner then now he has over done it with muscle and the years of heavy weightlifting is beginning to take its toll.

Used to believe a possible near 192 peak making his 6"4 claim, which is what he claims outside of the wrestling circuit, a possible morning measurement though he had leaner muscle and was acting with a lot of sub 6 foot actors. His posture is poor in that Barkley photo and having seen Barkley on to recently I think 6"5 is what he is. The rock looked about 3.5 inch lower than Anthony Joshua. I think it is possible he was 190 peak and now maybe almost a half inch shorter since his 40th birthday.

I doubt he's as low as 187. My friend who is 6'3 met him and appeared taller in a pic but the pic looked as it favored him. I'd go with 188-189cm as he said it's about an inch difference in person and it's similar to how he looked with Strahan about 2-2.5 inch difference with a guy who is about 6'4.5

Looked up to 3 inches shorter than Michael Strahan on the Oscars red carpet just now. Top of his head was just slightly above Michaels's eyebrows. I'd say 6'2" based on that. Couldn't be seen but they for sure had on similar styled dress shoes

Part of the reason why i think he keeps claiming 6'4.5-6'5 is because that was what he was measured in wrestling gear 6'3-6'3.5.5+1.5inch footwear.
