You may as well not claim 6'3" at all then if you're going to add "in shoes" after the claim. People will just gonna preceive you to be desperate to want to seem taller. I'd rather just claim 6'2" and be done with it if I were you.

@Myself: while I don’t necessarily claim an out of bed height myself, I do respect Shane’s decision to claim it. It’s his perogative and it is a valid measurement by him. But I understand your logic as people will never see you at that height. The thing that complicates a shoe measurement by anyone especially an out of bed one is that shoes vary in thickness so if I claimed 6’6” in shoes out of bed and wore flats or boat like shoes I’m only 6’5” flat at a low In them or even less if it’s 1/2” shoe. At that stage I’d only be 6’4.25 maybe 6’4.3 barefoot so 6’4.75 to .8 in a shoe. That’s why I claim 6’4” because that’s the height I am closest to for probably 75% of the day and even in the first few hours of the am I’m around 6’4.5 after about 3 or so hours so that’s still close enough since I dip below it

@Shane: I don’t know anyone personally who admits to claiming an out of bed height but I do know people who claim shoes, some of which look nowhere near the shoe claim early in the afternoon. Perhaps a 6’2” guy claiming 6’4 when they’re 6’3 in shoes max

@5'11 1/2: Tons of people claim an early morning shoe height. Likely what Rock does and then rounds up. I personally claim my out of bed barefoot height of 6'2" flat but will also say 6'3" in shoes. I never say 6'3" without admitting that is an in shoe height.

The photos that Gracian posted indicate to me that it's strange but likely that Johnson really has had a noticeable height loss when scarcely over 40. A solid 6'3" guy once but can hardly straighten to a strong 6'2" anymore.

Editor RobI do think sometimes he can look 6ft 3, but mostly last 3-4 years he overall seems shy of it. Anybody has potential to look taller or shorter, with Rock, well half the time he never stands with the greatest posture.

I agree. The rock I think is definitely taller than the 6’2.5 range because he appears to be a lot taller than Bernie Mac who was that height and other actors who are 6’2. But to be honest, I think his peak height and possibly current height is 6’5. He does seem like a really big guy and when I saw he was listed 6’5 on google I wasn’t surprised about it. But if he has actually lost height, I would give him something in the 6’4 range then.

From what I've seen, I think his upper back through to neck isn't always that straight and he has a compressive nature to his spine. If he followed a stretching routine for 6 months I think it would help him look taller than he currently does.

Rock is clearly claiming an out of bed shoe height in something like an Air Max - which can give near 1.5 inches - and possibly rounding up a bit. So IF he is 6'3" out of bed barefoot (theoretically), then he could measure 6'4" 1/2 in shoes and round up, which is likely what he has done.

I would say it's a 1/4" difference. It's barely even noticeable really. The Rock has his eyelevel tilted up a bit so that's why the difference looks more than it actually is. Click Here Routh at 6'2.5" makes Rock 6'2.75" but that was when he was younger so he was still at peak.
