The rock and Conan in 2005 were the same height, the rock may have been slightly taller. I’m wondering if Conan grew as time went on or if the rock shrunk like 3” inches. If Conan is a legit 6’4” then Triple H, and the rock were around 6’4” back in the day standing next to 6’4” Conan. I think Conan has stayed the same height of 6’4” years later now, and the rock and triple h shrunk to 6’2”.

Peak Rock: 6’3.5”. Rock today: 6’1.5”
Peak Triple H: 6’3”. Triple h today: 6’1”
Conan: 6’4”-6’3.75”
Canson said on 30/Jan/19
Conan was never listed at 6’5”. He has always maintained that he is and has always been listed 6’4”. A poster here Mickie met Conan and said they’re exact same height 6’3.25- 3/8. That’s how Conan looks most of the time

Picture of the Rock and heavyweight boxer Joesph Parker.
As you can see the Rock is taller by probably half an inch.
Parker is listed at 190cm on here do I believe he is more in the range of 189.
The Rock- 190.5cm
Joesph Parker- 189cm

I don’t the Rock is as short as some people say on here. 6’ 1” is way too short for him. Like I’ve said many times, the Rock has always struck me as a big, tall guy. He’s not as tall as the WWE lists him, that’s for sure, but he’s in no way as short as some people paint him out to be. The Rock, based on photos I’ve seen from the 1990s to maybe 2012 or 13 looks to be about 6’ 4”. He doesn’t seem like the kind of guy who would lie about his height. I think 6’ 4” peak is fair, but he’s not over that. Nowadays, I think if he stands up as straight and tall as he can, he could scrape 6’ 3.5”. Barkley is a really big guy, I think he is 6’ 6” and the Rock 3-4 inches shorter, I’d say he look 2-2.5 inches shorter than him, which means if he’s 6’ 6”, he probably is about 6’ 3.5”. Pictured with Cena, who is a strong 6’ 0.5”, he looks 3 inches taller which means 6’ 3.5” is a safe bet for him now. He doesn’t necessarily stand with the best posture which makes him seem shorter than he actually is. Look at him with Strahan, I think Strahan was measured at 6’ 4.25” later in the day because with guys who are in my mind legit 6’ 5ers like Lennox Lewis, Joe Manganiello and Tyler Perry, he looks 6’ 4.75” or maybe 6’ 5” like he claimed that one time he also look taller than Eli Manning who I think is in the 6’ 4” range not 6’ 4.75”. he looks an inch or maybe an inch and a half taller than the Rock, who would make the Rock 6’ 3.5” or 6’ 4”. There is also a video back in the early 2000s on Conan who is a legit 6’ 4” he looks taller than him but when Neeson was on the Conan he looked taller than him until Conan stood up straighter which would mean the Rock was closer to 6’ 4”. And also look at the Rock with David Hasselhoff, who is also a legit 6’ 4”. I’ve heard things saying the Rock is two inches shorter than him, he’s not, there is barely any difference between him and Hasselhoff. And also look at him with Logan Paul. Paul is listed on here as 6’ 1.5” and the Rock looked two inches at least taller than him, which would make him 6’ 3.5” again. And finally, look at him with Vince Vaughn. Vaughn was a legit 6’ 5” peak, maybe 6’ 4.5” now, and yes, the Rock was shorter than him which further debunks the 6’ 5” height listing, but not by a substantial amount as people like to say it is looking like a 6’ 3.5-6’ 4” guy. So to sum it all up, the Rock is not 6’ 1”, not 6’ 2”, not 6’ 2.5”, he could be a stronger 6’ 3” today but not any lower. He’s not 6’ 5”, that’s obv too high for him, I think he is about 6’ 3.5” if he stands up completely straight today and I think at least in his prime, about 6’ 4”.

Sorry 184cm guy, 6-1 Triple H was always shorter than 6-2 Rock.

Rock I could maybe give as high as 189cm, still leaves Triple H as 186cm peak.

canson i Think Ali baba Always guess People little shorter than they are. 5 years back he Said Ferrigno was max 188 cm. I han be very wrong i just think that if Baba thought he looked 6 foto 1 then he probably was 187.with legit 188 Peak. Rememberthat he and michael rapaport was the same height.( looked) By the way canson, where are you from ? I guess England

If you go to Joseph Parker’s Instagram, he just met The Rock and surprisingly Rock looks a little taller...but knowing how The Rock forces posture compared to Joe and knowing he was wearing chunky footwear, maybe Joe is actually a tad taller

When the Rock was a gust on Conan O'Brian, he walked on stage and Conan looked up to him. Angles dont matter, you can see Conan looking up. Shoes would be a factor, Conan having dress shoes on will also have about 1 inch increase. Conan is listed at 6'5"

On a later appearance on Conan's other show, The Rock and Conan look even and the Rock can bee seen wearing generic dress shoes with normal about of heel.

@Viper: Ali Baba posted on Triple H’s page a few years back that he met him and said he was no taller than 6’1”. This is back somewhere between 2013 and 14 I believe but I don’t know about his peak if he really were 6’2”. There’s always a chance that he was only a strong 6’1” in reality at his peak. Today 6’1-6’1 1/8 is likely

Solid 6’2
Jdubbz said on 26/Jan/19
@Canson: I used to be like the Rock, lol. Back in high school I honestly thought I was 6'4 (I had no concept of height loss, weak, solid strong, etc.) because I had a few friends who were all an inch shorter than me, and they claimed 6'3. It wasn't until the summer before college that I got measured at 6'2.5 at the doctors office. That wasn't even a low since it was a 2pm appointment! We all run into guys claiming to be 1-2 inches taller than they really are, and a lot of them probably know they are shorter, but I'm willing to bet that a sizeable chunk are just victims of height inflation who haven't been measured in a few years. The Rock definitely isn't one of those guys though. A 3 inch inflation is just ludicrous.

Dwayne Johnson has to be 6’4” today. How in the hell could he ever get billed at 6’5” if he’s currently 6’2.5”?! Triple H was close to 6’3” (peak), and Johnson has always been at least an inch taller than him.

There are multiple sources that prove that Dwayne Johnson is not 6'5". We know this unless you're somebody that only follows and uses Google heights as a trustworthy and reliable source. Not the point, getting off topic. He was more than an inch shorter than Pablo Schrieber when they were both standing up next to each other in Skyscraper. The picture with him and Charles Barkley should be enough proof to show people that he was never 6'5". You don't even have to see that exact picture to know though as there are a plethora of different photos and moments with other people that prove that he isn't 6'5". He's 6'3" at most. The Rock never looked as tall as people like Liam Neeson, Jeff Goldblum, Vince Vaughn, and Tim Robbins onscreen. In Baywatch, he didn't look that much taller than everybody else and sure as he'll didn't look 9 inches taller than Zac Efron. Funny because him and Neve Campbell are overlisted by 2 inches and starred together. He looked 5 inches taller than Karen Gillian in Jumanji and like 13 inches taller than Kevin Hart in Welcome to the Jungle and Central Intelligence. The Rock was 6'3" at peak.

Canson said on 6/Jan/19
@Jackson: not sure where Barkley falls today but his peak he was probably at least 194cm range not just a solid 6’4”. I can see the 6’4 5/8 he measured as believable or at worst maybe his low could’ve been 6’4.5. But to me anyone falling in the 6’4 3/8-5/8 range is considered 6’4.5 since the former would be measured during the day and the latter could drop to that at an extreme low not to mention they look the same

@ Jackson and Juby, Hollywood crops images in their photo releases of short actors standing next to tall actors to make them look the same height. Statham is a legit 5'7 next to 5'7 Stallone and the Rock is a solid 6'2.

On the other hand, I saw a movie last night with Dwayne and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje who might be 6'1, and Dwayne was clearly taller than him couple of years ago. Adewale can't be 6'1 or Dwayne was close to 6'3 before he become Hobbs in Fast Five. No he looks no taller than 6'2.
Canson said on 18/Dec/18
@Junior: I believe similar but 6’2 today. Peak maybe 6’2.5 or .75. He’s too young to have lost anymore and it’s likely just from his lifestyle wrestling
Junior Hernandez 1990 said on 17/Dec/18
I have seem picture where Rock look 184-ish standing alone. Understand his muscular frame makes him shorter, so i doubt it if he is above 6'2.25". Still believe 6'2.75" peak not 6'3.
Canson said on 14/Dec/18
@Spencer: to be honest, he can look anywhere from a weak 6’2” or even 6’1” at times up to about 6’3”. I saw with he and Anthony Joshua he looked weak 6’2” same with Gronk. Gronk measured 6’6.25 early morning so likely 6’5.75 for site standard. With 6’3 7/8 Ndaumkong Suh as well another morning measurement of 6’3 7/8 so probably 6’3.5ish he looks maybe 6’1.5-6’2”. With Charles Barkley he looks somewhere around 6’2” or maybe a weak 6’2. With Michael Sam he looks a ful 6’2 or maybe as tall as you have him. Then I’ve seen others where he can look a little taller. I still think that he is a full 6’2”
Spencer said on 13/Dec/18
He looks 6'2" or 6.2".25" at most. I don't think he was ever more than 6'2.75" at peak. At age 46 maybe he has lost 1/4 of an inch or 1/2 an inch tops?

Rising - 174 cm said on 8/Dec/18
@Canson: That looks like the same full photo to me except with a different background. Funny enough, Rock posted the other photo you're referring to on twitter to remark how he was 6'4", 260, yet Barkley and Shaq dwarfed him. I guess he couldn't bring himself to claim 6'4.5" or 6'5" while standing next to them, but you're right, there appeared to be a tilt in Barkley's favor. When I straighten it, the difference seems about the same as the full photo. I see a max 2" difference in that pic with Cena making it particularly laughable Rock claims to be 4", 4.5" and even 5" taller than Cena does. Much like Rock and Barkley basically claim the same heights!
Christian 6'5 3/8" said on 8/Dec/18
@Canson and Jackson

He definitely knows he's no 6'4" or 6'5". He once indirectly admitted to being 6'3", by jokingly claimed that he's 5'9" wearing 6" lifts. 5'9" + 6" = 6'3"
Jackson said on 8/Dec/18
In my opinion he looked uncomfortable with Logan Paul and the fact that Logan was tall. He had to let everyone know “this is a big dude!” And “I’m 6 foot 4 and a half!”

He said these things because he really wants his image to reflect being a larger than life kinda guy. But he’s barely 6’2” in my opinion.
Sakz said on 8/Dec/18
@Jackson I'm sure he knows he doesn't measure 6'5 barefoot. He knows he's bigger than the average person anyway so many people won't really stop to think how big or tall he actually is. He was billed 6'5 as a wrestler, so like most he just went along with that because many can't really differentiate between those billings and real life.

Canson said on 7/Dec/18
@Rising: I don’t think Barkley has the footwear advantage either looking at both of their shoes. But in the pic without the line, that looks as if Rock’s head is higher than that to me at least. It may be more than 2” but not 3” imho. The top of Rock’s scalp comes to the top of Barkley’s forehead. Let’s say if Barkley had hair (military or crew cut to be exact) it would be where the top of the side of his head before you got to the hair. It’d be better if they were right next to each other
Canson said on 7/Dec/18
@Jackson: he knows he isn’t that tall barefoot. I wonder if maybe he measured early morning in cleats in his youth or boots and got 6’4.5 and rounded up. It’s no different than Shawne Merriman who claims he’s 6’5” and nowhere near it
Andrea said on 7/Dec/18
The Rock does look AT LEAST 3 inches shorter than Barkley there, so nothing over 6'1.75, assuming that Barkley really is as low as 6'4.75 (and that they have similar posture/footwear). And that picture dates back to 2013...
Jackson said on 6/Dec/18
Sometimes I wonder if The Rock is actually delusional enough to belive he’s 6’5” I mean I wonder if he knows he’s barely 6’2” on a good day. Im sure he goes to the doctor and gets measured.... my guess is he’s aware but he just lies. You would think he’d maybe be more honest as he gets older but even less than a year ago he proudly said “I’m 6 foot 4 and a half”
Rising - 174 cm said on 6/Dec/18
@Christian: I respect that. And yeah, all I can say is what the difference is in the photo as we know that can be more or less than the actual difference. Interestingly, without the tilt, the other photo winds up pretty close to that, but notice Wahlberg doesn't even look a full 6" shorter than Rock much less 6.5". Unless he slipped some lifts in his Jordans, I don't think they'd add more than Rock's boots.
Christian 6'5 3/8" said on 6/Dec/18
@Rising

The only reason why I thought that it was a 7cm difference, is because I assumed Barkley had a slight footwear advantage. But I guess that's no longer the case. You're absolutely correct that the photographic difference between the two is around 8cm.
Canson said on 5/Dec/18
@Rising: I have the line a bit higher. Maybe over 2” flat but not more than about 7cm imho. I originally had 6-7cm but didn’t realize rock was in boots. I thought Barkley had footwear advantage. I was wrong perhaps

Rob how much taller do u think Barkley looks in those pics?
I really see around 3 inches but that doesnt mean i think he actually is 3 inches taller.
Photos are sometimes deceptive.
It's basically how a 6'2 man would look next to a 6'5 man.
If measured then maybe 6-7 cm is a fair guess.
Editor Rob
He had always looked 6ft 2 at most in the old Barkley photos. Whether they were the same distance and posture is harder to say.

the rock may have been 6.3 but today he can look under 6.2
Rising - 174 cm said on 4/Dec/18
@Canson and Christian: I can't agree on this one. Click Here You can see the top of Rock's head is just the slightest bit above Barkley's eyebrows and I'd normally expect that was closer to 4" on Barkley's head. However, comparing their whole bodies in pixels, Barkley is 25 pixels higher, which proportionately comes out to about 3.1" taller if you start from their toes on their back feet(which basically lineup) or 3.3"-3.4" taller if you start from around their heels. If I compare the distance between their heads to a 10" head for each then I get basically a flat 3" difference or just over. So the absolute lowest I can see is 7.5 cm. A flat 7 cm difference isn't unreasonable, but I can't get guess that low myself. I also can't agree the difference would be smaller if they were side by side because they're side by side in the other pic and the difference is bigger even when you correct the tilt against Rock. I will say you could argue Barkley looks 6'5" max there with Marky Mark and Shaq if you believe he's not at a disadvantage compared to either, but I don't see that with Rock.

I wouldn't have believed there was much interest in for instance celebrity feet, but then look at the wikifeet site - that has a lot more visitors thatn this site and is a very specific niche, showing there is interest in all sorts of aspects of celebrity.

Personally I don't judge if somebody is curious about height, weight, feet, clothing, birthdays, fashion style, hair colour, eyes, hobbies, ethnicity etc.

This site provides a database of estimates and an ability to discuss height with myself acting as a moderator. It caters for those who see their idols on screen or TV and are curious about how tall they might be. Maybe they looked huge or small in a show or film and somebody looked it up to find out...and also people like to compare themselves with celebrities.

I suppose when I think about it - at times when watching a film or show I have been curious about the age of a celebrity...maybe it's more because I have met a fair number now and also seen them when they were younger in films and it can be sobering thinking how time flies by quickly...

@Rising: this pic is a bit better tho (same one below). If you expand it and go from the top of Rock’s head using lines, it’s in the 2” range. Really just looks 2” maybe 2.25”. Rock’s head is smaller than Barkley’s and he’s not right next to him. I think the Rock is 6’2” like you said but nothing less or more. If Barkley and Rock were next to each other it wouldn’t look as much as it does imho. Rock comes to where the side of Barkley’s forehead would stop at the side of his scalp. I can’t tell how thick the boots are but Barkley has thick sneaks on. Not sure how much advantage Rock would have maybe 1/4”-1/3”

@Canson: The absolute least I can see in the full pic(without considering shoes or posture) is 8 cm because Rock's head is just barely above Barkley's eyebrows. Rock can look 6'2" flat sometimes, but I'm still not sure he would measure less than Rob lists him.
Canson said on 29/Nov/18
@Jackson: you are absolutely right about footwear. I apologize.

@Rising: it’s only about 2” difference in this picture. The angle doesn’t help it but Rock comes up well above Barkley’s eyebrows. You and Jackson are right. Footwear advantage but the difference looks greater due to how far he and Barkley are standing apart from each other. Rock’s head is just about to the side of Barkley’s scalp. So even with Rock maybe having thicker shoes it’s still around 2.5”.

Rising - 174 cm said on 28/Nov/18
Yeah, I never saw a footwear advantage for Barkley either. Barkley's sneakers look a pretty normal, not particularly thick kind and Rock does look to me like he's wearing the boots he has in the above pic. I'd still like to know the make and models so we can say for sure, but nothing about that photo ever suggested to me that Barkley had the advantage, especially since Barkley actually looks to have looser posture in the photos. However, current Steven Seagal does measure up significantly better to Barkley than Rock does. Seagal isn't over 6'3.5" any more and looks at least an inch taller than Rock compared to Barkley, imo depending on how much his bandana adds since Barkley looked over 3" taller than Rock to me.
Jackson said on 27/Nov/18

Yes! Those are the exact same Boots he is wearing in photo with Shaq and Barkley. Those are boots. Not sneakers.... and he’s still towered over. Heck look at rock with John Cena... looks under 6’2” for sure.

@Jackson: Rock is not wearing boots in the pic with Shaq and Barkley. Those are sneakers. Barkley (peak 6’4 5/8) handily edges Rock. So if he doesn’t have a footwear advantage it puts Rock at sub 6’2”

@Christian: I have a 6-7cm difference between them only because Barkley has thicker footwear. So Barkley at 194.3, I would have Rock as 187.8 which is practically right at 6’2”. 6’1.9. Maybe 187.96 fits him too.

Zampo said on 23/Nov/18
This current listing is fine maybe 0.25 lower but it is fair. Photo's can only give you a range of where one looks they could measure within. Nothing else really. Most of these photo I see being pulled up prove that 6'1.5 - 6'2.5 range that is the height he roughly walks/stands about at. The question is how far is he off his measured height as I doubt most people ever stand or walk at their measured height. I have seen many who are around 0.5 inch off (even more) and others who are 0.2 inch off typically. I suspect the Rock falls in the category of those that a may be losing a little more than the average person (with his type of posture), nothing significant but I think there is a good chance if he was actually measured (where he would stand at his tallest) he would measure over 6'2.
Canson said on 22/Nov/18

@Nils2: it looks close to 3 in the pic but Barkley has a thicker sneaker. Prob 2.5-2.75”. Rock looks max 6’2 next to a 6’4.5 (which would be his max today) Barkley. That’s about what Barkley was at his peak 6’4 5/8 perhaps but not sure if he’s lost height
Bruni said on 22/Nov/18
I've seen too many Google searches saying his height is 6'5" when he's only 6'3" Conan O'brien is 6'4" and standing next to Johnson, is clearly at least an inch taller than him.
Nils2 said on 21/Nov/18
Dwayne really looked no less then 3 inches shorter then Barkley. Unfortunately it's more like 2 inches with Conan. Ofcourse it can variate in photos, angles and footwear but he really looked surprisingly short next to Barkley. Especially knowing Barkley may not even be full 6'5.
Canson said on 21/Nov/18
@Christian: agreed. it’s definitely 2.5-2.75” no less imo. I have Barkley as 194 range and Rock 188. the rock is hard to pin down. His posture makes him look like a 6 foot 2 guy a lot. Maybe peak he really was 6 foot 3 1/8- 1/4. Today he looks 6 foot 2 1/4-1/2. But the guy is not even 50 years old. I cant see him going from 191- 188,5 at that age. That would make him maybe 186 cm at age 60 and 183 at age 70 at best 180 at age 80. I think Robs listing is good. Half inch lost and he will probably lose about the same amount as CLint Eastwood when he is older.

Vosloo doesn't have thin shoes either so while I don't know exactly what they or Rock's sandals add, it's likely Rock was at a 2 cm minimum disadvantage with Vosloo and 3 cm minimum with Hodder and this is with Rock looking to drop an inch in posture with Hodder and at least some height with Vosloo. Rock still looks to have near an inch on Vosloo and it'd be conservative to estimate him standing as tall or a half inch taller than Hodder at that event. Rock's tendency to slouch has gotten worse, but it definitely looks to me like injuries caused him to lose height before he was even 40. I also agree with Vegas that the Manganiello comparison isn't great for comparing height, but I can't see any way to argue he looks 6'2" flat in that particular pic. I doubt Samuel L. Jackson was ever taller than 6'2", though and I'd be surprised if he was still a full 6'2" by 2007.
Christian 6'5 3/8" said on 21/Oct/18

I'd say 2.5"-3" because Rock had a slight camera advantage over Joe. The difference would've been 2"-2.25" if they stood at an equal distance from the camera, but that's not the case.
Canson said on 21/Oct/18
@Vegas: I still agree with Christian. You can see enough in the pics to be able to tell that Mangianello is a couple inches taller at least. If the listing for Joe holds true, that’s what the difference would be. Ndamukong Suh had close to 2” on the Rock as well. Probably more like 1.5” in reality since Suh measured that height at the combine in the early morning and may have had slight camera angle in the pic

@Ian 555: I doubt he was ever 6’3 flat at a low let alone over. My guess is he would hit that mark or above only in the morning

--------------

That photo of the two he posted there isn't 2.5-3 inches between them no. The difference in that particular photo is 2-2.25 inches.

I can't see who is closer and the full length shots such as this don't really tell either Click Here even in that shot with Rock not standing fully straight posing with the women it's not 3 inches difference unless Mangianello has a ~6 inch forehead.

Those photos also look to have been taken from a location above the subjects in question which would further complicate things.

Either way not really good pieces of evidence to reference. A video of the two standing together would be far better to compare height.

You could be right,

I'm assuming, this (as the camera doesn't go down so we can't see their footwear)m but it's probably likely that The Rock is wearing heeled boots (the ones he frequently wears), whereas given Jon Jones's attire, he could possibly be in sandals or even bare footed.

(Disclaimer: I'm a big Dwayne Johnson fan, I just simply don't think he's any taller than 6'2)
Zampo said on 14/Oct/18
@Canson: The Rock of today if measured, I reckon would be in the strong 6'2 category, He may walk around or stand at 6'2 flat or a tad below but I'm quite confident for a measurement he could measure 6'2-6'2.25 range. Think he was taller than 6'2.5 in his prime. Possibly 6'2.75-6'3 range maybe 6'2.5 at a extreme low (which would likely have been very common due to his profession at that point).

@Christian 6'5 3/8: Maybe there is a case for him to be labelled a "liar" because he is no longer an active participant the WWE universe but in no way do I consider a wrestler who claims they're billed height "lying". It's part of "Kayfabe". However, I have made the assumption that his claim is based on on this, if it isn't then I would agree with the term "liar".
Canson said on 14/Oct/18
@Christian: agreed. Rock definitely has never been anything close to 6’4” barefoot. He may have been 190 at his peak but I doubt he was even a flat 6’3” at a low. I’d actually take both of Rob’s listings and knock half inch off both and that’s where he would likely sit today and peak 6’2 and 6’2.5
Canson said on 13/Oct/18
@Zampo: I can agree that a peak Rock may have been “close to 6’3”. By that I mean 6’2.5 to .75 max maybe just 6’2.5. Today he looks 6’2” flat and has for quite some time. He can appear sub 6’2” at times which some people pointed out and I see it with Ndamukong Suh who measured 6’3 7/8 at the combine (more than likely a morning height). Suh likely isn’t over 6’3.5 or anywhere 6’3 3/8-5/8 seeing how all players that have been compared over the years measure anywhere from 1/4-1/2” above their normal walking height at 6 or 7 am when they get measured. Rock looks a good 2” shorter but that may be partly due to camera angle. So I’ll call it roughly 1.5” and say Suh is 6’3.5 and Rock 6’2 flat. I do agree with Danimal and Viper here that he’s never been a legit 6’3” let alone over 6’3”.

@RONSTER: Whilst I'm not in the category that would paint the Rock as "liar", as I feel his claims a habit from his WWE days. I just don't see him measuring 6'4 barefoot at any point in time, in footwear then yes. I do disagree with those who say he never looked 6'3. He seemed near 6'3 back in the 90s with other wrestlers (particularly in his Nation days with Ron Simmons-listed 6'1 in the USFL probably nearer 6'0, D'lo-6'1.5 celeb height listing). I can definitely buy that he could measure a flat 6'3 then.

While I agree with you on mostly everyone's height Viper, Barkley is one guy I think was at least 6'5.5", if not a full 6'6" in his younger days. Remember he was noticeably taller than 6'4.5" Michael Jordan. Here he is next to 6'7" Krist Novoselic 25 years ago:

He also has steadfastly said he was 6’4” at 16 and refers to himself as 6’4” to 6’5” all the time with no reason whatsoever to inflate it.

Now Suh was measured at the combine at 6’3 7/8 (morning) so is likely more a weak 6’4 (6’3.5ish). Maybe Suh has a bit of camera advantage and it’s really more like 1.5”ish.

Look at the Youtube link of Jon Jones and Dwayne Johnson. The Rock definitely needs a downgrade, he's likely just 6'2. Maybe a tad less. All of those heavy weights over the years, must take its toll on his spine.

Jon Jones, on the other hand looks to be a solid 6'4

A 6'2" downgrade for The Rock is way overdue at this point. The fact that he looked 2.5"-3" shorter than 6'4.75" Manganiello solidifies it.

The pics with Joe are not great. The angle is quite bad and it's possible Joe is further away from camera. In some photos he looks only 2 inches taller while in others comfortably 3 inches. More evidence for a noticeable height loss for the Rock over last 10-15 years. Peak I believe he was a strong 6’3 consistent with poster Mamun assertion. Today yes a strong 6’2.
Rob is it possible for the aRock to lose .75 to 1’ over 15 years?

@Zampo Yep that's absolutely right. Another instance would be when they act 'bad' (or however you want to describe it) in real life. It's basically just them staying in character but as you said the internet and social media has pretty much destroyed all that anyway so it's pointless. 'Kayfabe is dead' as they say in wrestling terms.
Ian555 said on 26/Sep/18
After looking at some evidence, I think the rock in his peak stands a legit 6'4". Nowadays he looks more like he's 6'3.5". I think the 6'1" and 6'2" claims are kinda bull cuz the rock has always struck me as a big dude and he looks the same height as Hasselhoff and looks an inch shorter than 6'5" Strahan. I think the 6'5" claims are a bit over exaggerated though. Maybe during his peak he could have been 6'4.5" at the most but not 6'5".
Zampo said on 24/Sep/18
@Sakz, I don't take most wrestlers height claim seriously, it's like running joke. They all know the height they "really" measure. I actually don't see as lying though, just them playing within they're character. If I was billed 6'3 as a wrestler, I would most definitely claim it in my interviews etc. The whole point of wrestling sports entertainment was to blur the reality between fake and real. My opinion though is that the current era of social media/internet has destroyed all of this so the WWE's height inflation (which was portray wrestlers as super-human athletes) is pretty pointless today.
Sakz said on 20/Sep/18
@Zampo Yeah that's probably what it is and with other superstars aswell. As wrestlers they're bigger and usually taller than the average person anyway, so they probably feel they can get away it. Lots of people simply aren't height aware either so that plays into their favour.
Canson said on 19/Sep/18
@ErikC: he’s definitely lying. It’s well known guys like Charles Barkley are not as tall as they’re listed (6’4 and change) as opposed to a listed 6’6” and he’s stood by him and clearly a lot shorter (2.5”). He’s also stood with Vernon Davis in a pic and Davis is at at best 6’3” in person (his combine was 6’3.25) but he’s likely not more than 6’3” to be honest. So he’s not confused at all. He claims taller like most guys and until they are shown up by someone else the lie will stick. Even then, some guys will go all out and inflate someone else. I love seeing a reaction when we had a tape measure once and were gonna pull it out on a guy who was lying and trying to inflate me and my 6’5 friend. This other guy claimed 6’5” and told us that he’s 6’5 in shoes (I’ll give him credit) but he wasn’t even that. I was in casual shoes that night and was At my normal low that day 6’4.25 since I had gone to the gym as opposed to a mm or two taller so at that stage having measured in those shoes before I was a solid 6’5 and still taller than the guy by about half inch. Then of course my buddy an inch taller 6’5.25 and that’s at night for him as some days he even is 6’5 1/3 at a low (he’s Christian’s size) stood next to him. My buddy never claims the change he just says he’s 6’5. Only to close circle he does. He was in flats (loafers) and edged him by about 3 cm probably. The other guy gave all types of excuses about why shoe height should be claimed and why he deserved to claim it then he even said well you’re wearing flatter shoes and you can’t prove you’re 6’5 in shoes etc. of course when the tape measure was mentioned and my buddy went to get it (which he did), he backed away. He didn’t wanna be embarrassed. Not to mention another guy who was 6’0” stood right in front of both of us and when it was just me he said to me that I was max 6’4” since he didn’t account for a shoe diff. He was in sneaks and I’m in casual shoes but I claim 6’4” so I didn’t argue about it. I did tell the honest guy later tho that I’m a hair over 6’4” (6’4-6’4.5) since I wake up to a full 6’5 but never claim it. I didn’t get into the morning evening thing which I never bring up but I did point out I was in a flatter shoe than him. However, I’m still closer to 6’4” nonetheless and it’s what all of my documents have on them these days (I only claimed 6’4.5 and rounded to 6’5 when I played ball in college) but don’t now

I think The Rock claims 6'4-6'5 simply because this was his billed height during his WWE days thus has stuck with him and more or less has become a habit to state. Back in the day, WWE did their best to blur the lines between reality and "acting". 90% of his interviews was in "The Rock" persona rather than Dwayne Johnson, who was 6'5, 275 pounds. I remember a interview with D'lo Brown (wrestler and friend of the Rock from the nation days) who stated it got to a point where sometimes he couldn't tell if he was speaking to The Rock or Dwayne Johnson.

I'm sure Dwayne Johnson know's he never measured 6'4-6'5 barefoot. I can buy he did during his peak in wrestling boots though, nevertheless could careless what he claims personally. I can never forget summer/autumn 98 and the period till about 2001 in the WWE, absolutely inspirational. On his height today, think he would look quite similar to Tom Welling, maybe 6'2.5 at lunchtime.
Erik C. said on 15/Sep/18
No excuses towards the Rock, however, I think that the reason that the Rock has and continues to claim 6'4'', 6'4.5'', and 6'5'' is that he's either claiming his prime peak height of 6'3.25-ish and either thinking that he deserves another 1.5 inches or so give-or-take. Or, he really was measured at that in his prime years in sneakers and isn't accounting for the fact that his sneakers add some additional height. Either ways, i don't think that the rock accepts, accounts, or even acknowledges the fact of height shrinkage especially after a career like his. He also might just be flat out lying, i dont know. Maybe he's just inflating himself to appear bigger and more impressive like lots of guys do. Not that i think he believes wwe's billings, but, he might've been psyched out and given a false hope by wwe's billings of him.

Either ways, today i give him a solid 6-2 or kinda fair-kinda weakish 6-2.5'', and prime 6-3.25'' based on him next to 6'4'' Hulk Hogan.

I think bad posture has a lot to do with the Rocks height in latter years. In my twenties I always felt tall but 20 or so years doing a desk job with little excercise really took a toll on my posture. I decided about 3 years ago to address my poor posture with regular stretching and yoga and I pretty much back to my peak height. The Rock am guessing has very little sleep ‘ clanging n banging at 4 am’, lifts far too much and has ****e posture. I think if he addressed this by self over a period of time then yes he would definitely regain some lost height. Peak 6’3 as I think Mamun is a good reference and today a solid 6’2.

@Viper: proportions don’t have much to do with it. These are just people who lie about their own height. Other tall guys claim 6’5 that are your height so to make their lie believable that’s how they do it. Just like you getting guessed 6’4” it’s the same thing. You said you’re 6’2.75 at a low so that’s a shoe height they’re assessing you if they guess you 6’4 or God forbid 6’5”
Canson said on 7/Sep/18
@JamesB: in the pic above and with Ndamukong Suh he is the smallest 6’5 I’ve ever seen. Suh measures 6’3 7/8 early morning so he’s likely not more than 6’3.5 maybe 6’3 3/8 and he has Rock by close to 2” in the pic (1.5-.75 min).
Canson said on 7/Sep/18
@Christian: it largely depends on the shoes I wear and how long I’ve been awake. If I go out at night and am on my feet I can lose an entire inch most of the time (or near it) and come down to 193.4 or so. My extreme low is actually 193.1 one time. But even around 6’4.25 if I’m in flats I get guessed at 6’4 often and 6’5” still. I have met a few people that lie about their height one of which is about my height and swears he measured 6’5 flat which I called him on. I had a pair of boat shoes and so did he and I measured that night and was 193.5 after the long day meaning I am not even 6’5 in shoes and neither was he. Yet he even swore it was barefoot. His poor posture actually made him look shorter than me at times but he stood up straight and we were pretty close. His hair may have influenced the measurement and he likely is 6’4.75 in the early morning just like me or even a hair less. Not to mention he had a 6’7” (6’6.5 admittedly) friend who claimed his exact height and was over 2” taller than both of us. I’ve also seen it where I went to the gym recently and had a guy who walked around commenting on everyone’s height and we all looked at him when he claimed 6’5” to me and I told him gtfoh and that I was only 6’4” myself and clearly at least an inch taller. He swore for about 2 minutes he was until I said well there is a scale over there with a level and he finally walked away from me.

Yes i totally understand him claiming out of bed barefoot height (188/6'2) to average people, since they would upgrade him anyway. What i don't really approve is being a liar, by claiming a height you measured out of bed with shoes on and probably even rounded up - "because why not"...
I think a decent amount of people that claim considerably more than they are is just because they don't know or don't think too much about the shrinking and shoes/barefoot issues; Shane does...
Myself said on 28/Aug/18
@Canson
I mean that people claim morning height after measuring it because they don't know that they shrink up to 2+ cm so quickly, but Shane actually does. Anyway i wouldn't mind him claiming it (188-6'2) to average people, as they would always try to inflate if he was honest, but the shoe + morning out of bed combo (and add in a round up aswell, because why not...) height is kinda ridicolous...
Canson said on 26/Aug/18

Christian 6'5 3/8" said on 26/Aug/18
@Shane

You may as well not claim 6'3" at all then if you're gonna add "in shoes" after the claim. People will just gonna preceive you to be desperate to want to seem taller. I'd rather just claim 6'2" and be done with it if I were you.
Also, Myself is right on point. You may as well claim "I'm 7'1" in 30cm stilts" going by the same logic. I don't see a point in claiming 6'3" if you're gonna add "in shoes". Most people know that shoes give about an inch of height so they'll immediately realize you're 6'2".
