I always thought berco was a small even when he was sitting down all the time and never stood up and was very very rarely seen on tv walking, i put him down at 5'6" and i was right. Becouse he did try and hide his height no doubt. I knew he was well under 5'10" and then under 5'8" so i thought he cant be under 5'6" surely. But his wife is never 5'11" and with at least 3 inch heels on, that would make her 6'2" she would be huge next to john by at least 8 inches, no way, shes about 5'9" flat footed and 6'0" with those heels on. That looks more real.

He always looks shorter than 5ft 6in to me. I think it's because a lot of his height is in his torso and his limbs are on the short side. Seeing him next to his wife in that photo confirms that the lowest he could be is a quarter of an inch below 5ft 6in, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and say he just brushes the 5ft 6in mark.

I passed him when working down in Parliament. I'm 1.68 in the morning and 1.66 at night and he didn't seem taller. I think the average guess is probably closer to the mark, and in his youth he could have been his listed height. He's definitely not 1.63 or anything like that.

I'm guessing from the photo his wife isn't quite the 5ft 11 she claims as she'd be about 6ft 1 in those heels and if he's 5ft 7 in shoes he'd be 6 inches shorter than her I'd guess he's between 4 and 5 inches shorter. She could be 5ft 10
