a 5'6 flat guy definitely shouldn't be towering over a 5'4 1/2 guy like that and they're wearing the same exact shoes. if he was 5'5.5-5'6.0 then freddy would have to be 5'2.5-5'3 flat.

I saw him once in front of a theater on Broadway talking to reporters (I guess he was doing a play). He was with Cedric the Entertainer. I was surprised at how short both of them were. I would say 5'5 or 5'6 for both men.

Could pass for a weak 5 8 back in the day better than pacino ever did he never fooled me once.
He could be 5 .5 now and as listed peak, he was often not the star so i doubt they gave him any wardrobe upgrades..

I personally had to escort the actors and give them event guides for the show. I will name and tell you the actors I met that night's heights. Leguizamo was small about 5'5" or maybe 5'6" or shorter. Hector Elizondo was about 5'9". Antonio Banderas wears lifts he was about 5'8" to 5'9" in lifts. Esai Morales was close to 5'8" than 5'9". Please tell me if I am wrong but I always assumed the strength of this site was it's reliance on empirical information, and not the claims of the person who stands (pardon the pun) to benefit from said claims. Can we really rely on JL's statements of stature even if he seems to be close to consistent? I think we are ignoring the the smirk rule of height that short guys have employed. The oath goes " I will claim any height I can say with a straight face and people don't smirk when the words come out of my mouth."

A few years ago I saw JL at a Spanish theatre in NYC. I was a teenager then, but already 5'3 as I am now. I was wearing 1 1/2 to 2 inch shoes and my jaw literally dropped when I saw how short he was. I walked right by him and we were eye to eye. Trust me, I dated a guy who is 5'4 (short but cute, just like John) and JL is the same. I def. think he wears lifts when he's at premieres and on camera. I guess that day he left them at home!

I agree MD , 5'8 seems to high for him ... Martin Lawrence claims only 5'7 ( once pushing it to 5'8 ) and he had a clear 1'-1.5 on John in that movie !
also Martin can't be anymore then 5'7 because Mr.T had a good 4 inches on him in his tv sitcom ! ... all i can think of is that John is shorter then his claims or Martin was just wearing lifts for movie ??? i personally think a shade under 5'7 !

Yeah, 5'7" seems like the very, very top of the scale. This is one where I'd definitely think he's taking claim to the 2 inch rule. I'm actually think he could be a full inch under 5'7".

In the April 2003 Men's Health, Johnny-boy claimed, before training for his boxing flick, to be 5'9" and 162, and I quote "that's a lot of fat" until trimming and muscling his way to 147, saying "I gained muscle I never had... I'd bet BOTH of them wear lifts, because Johnny can look much taller at premiers and such. He likes to wear a lot of boots. I just don't see how his old boxing profile can have him at 5'5" and him being much taller than that. Boxing shoes are very then soled and heeled.

I watched the film and the space in-between what looks to be 5'6" and 6' could fit John Leguizamo's head within it two times or maybe more. Remember they are meant to be in another dimension so with that mind I think they put in the chart to show they have a slightly different measuring system in Koopa Kingdom. Also with the fact pointed out below that they are hanging by chains it doesn't show anything unfortunately.

Not too sure he's this tall. In the film Summer of Sam, Leguizamo has on high heeled platforms and has his hair coiffed up and still is one of the shortest people in the club scenes. Mira Sorvino with heels on was a smidgen taller than him while he had HEELS on as well! Not too long ago, he was also on Nickeloden News. When he came onto the stage, he had on some HUGE mountain climbing boots and still was a bit shorter than the average height-looking guess. I heavily doubt he's 5'8", let alone 5'7.5". In Hollywood, usually when the stars state their height, they bunk it by 2 inches and I think that's what is going on here.
