@5’7 and a fraction: it looks 5” or so. Magic has a high eye level. His son looks around 6’2” there and both are barefoot. An argument can be made for 6 depending on angle. I’d still say around means 6’1.5-6’2. Not sure if magic is as tall today as he was peak but I doubt he’s under 6’7 yet

Jawilder said on 2/Oct/21
@Canson Yeah, I think you have to give Kuzma the 6’8 flat at a low. He looks it way more often than not. I can definitely get behind those listings. LeBron I can’t see over 6’7.25” anymore. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if Ingram was 6’6.75” at a low and Tatum 6’7. But 6’7 for Ingram and 6’7.25” for Tatum at a low are good bets also 👍
Canson said on 1/Oct/21
@Duhon: he can appear shorter or taller or the same as Ingram in pics but I’ll give him the edge and say he has 1/4”. Maybe 6’7.25” fits since he can look 6’8” some days.
Canson said on 1/Oct/21
@JA Wilder: yep I think that’s a low for Kuzma. Maybe there’s a shot at 6’7.75” but that’s as low as it gets but he’s got Ingram by an inch so it’s a good possibility. He genuinely does look 6’8 maybe with the exception of a time or two with Anthony Davis where AD can look minimum 2” taller or more. But yea he’s about as close to 6’8 afternoon height as it gets. I agree

Ingram 6’7”
LeBron 6’7.25 (maybe 6’7 1/8” only because his basketball sneaks are often thicker)
Kuzma 6’8”
Tatum at 6’7.25 would be a great start lol. Better than 6’7.5
Jawilder said on 30/Sep/21
@Canson Would you put Kuzma at a 6’8 flat low? He seems like a pretty good guy to compare some of these players heights with. I think Ingram is a full inch shorter than Kuzma, Tatum and LeBron 3/4 an inch shorter.
Canson said on 29/Sep/21
@Duhon: the last part of your statement is spot on. He often looks it more so because of his build as he can appear taller than some contemporaries
Duhon said on 28/Sep/21
I see LeBron somewhere in the range of 6'7.25"-6'7.75", so perhaps Rob has the right mark with the current listing. I don't believe he's a true barefoot 6'8" but he can definitely look 6'8", which perhaps any robustly built 6'7"+ guy could.
Canson said on 28/Sep/21
Tbh, Ingram looks taller than LeBron if you zoom in
Canson said on 27/Sep/21
Meant to say Duhon. My apologies. I can see more 2cm especially if the footwear is accounted for. I can see a bit more than 2 if that’s even the case. Even if we go with something like 1.8 or so it puts Lebron around his draft listing. Yea 6’7.25 is ok especially being Tatum and Ingram may be 6’7” flat. Tatum measured under 6’7 it implied when drafted as it said he Grew 3/4” to 6’7 5/8” in the article rob pulled from (I posted it previously before Tatum got a page). But the NBA does not measure In 1/8” increments so maybe it was not when he was drafted but a Celtics measurement. Tatum doesn’t look like he’s grown though next to Kuzma and if Ingram and LeBron are roughly the same I couldn’t see more than 1/4” (assuming footwear is the same but LeBron wears a shoe that is thicker than a standard basketball shoe).

Ingram with LeBron. LeBron’s shoe does look thicker imho. But it’s prob not much. Maybe 1/8” or 1/4”. LeBron if anything (without footwear) has .25” on him and Ingram is leaning a bit. I’d give them 6’7 flat (Ingram) and leave LeBron at 6’7.25” being LeBron can appear 6’8 on occasion it may just signal that he’s a strong 6’7” (a 6’7+ guy)

@recapa and Canson interesting picture with LeBron and Magic. Magic actually might be taller there. Magic probably was a solid 6’7.5” then? He looked about 1.5” shorter than Bird most the time.

Agreed!

@Recapa: yep that’s clearly a difference and LeBron’s footwear it thicker than avg for a basketball shoe. Some of his shoes are close to 2” thick or at least 1.4” or 1.5” whereas standard is 1.25”
Duhon said on 26/Sep/21
2cm isn't quite an inch but again based on foot position in that specific photo, whit Kuzma's being clearly in front of LeBron's, it looks max 1.5 cm between them. I won't deny Kuzma is taller but not by much and not a flat 6'7" next to a 6'8".

@Canson do you really see as much as an inch difference between LeBron and Kuzma in that pic? Especially factoring LeBron standing slightly behind (look at the feet placement between the two). If Kuzma's 6'8", LeBron looks at least 6'7.5"-6'7.75" there.

@Duhon: I see their draft listings of 6’7.25 and 6’8”. I don’t just see a CM between them. I’ve seen the other video where Lebron claimed 6’9 and Kuzma and AD were in the video. Kuzma was clearly taller even there. Maybe it isn’t an inch but 2cm I can see. I don’t know about Kuzma’s footwear but LeBron’s basketball shoes are about 1.4”

Magic is about half a foot closer to the camera and their ankle heights look identical. LeBron with bent knees and slouched shoulders looks identical in height to a postured up Magic who is slightly leaning in.

Magic 6’7.5” and LeBron 6’7.75” to 6’8” seems more realistic.

Magic would actually look taller if Lebron didn’t have the hat on. And here is 6’8” Kyle Kuzma with LeBron. LeBron doesn’t look to have grown from when he was drafted. He can still look 6’7-6’7.25

@Berta: he’s an athlete and him being 6’9” for a point guard is unconventional. That makes his achievements sound more impressive whereas people assume Charles Barkley downplays his height when all he did was round down from 6’4.5 or 6’4 5/8 to 6’4”. 6’4 for a power forward is also unconventional. Then you have Draymond Green who would rather claim 6’6 than 6’5”. Green knows he’s shorter in the afternoon than the morning hence why he made a video and ensured that his height was measured early in the morning in that video. Rob had Draymond listed appropriately and perhaps Magic in his prime. I don’t rule out maybe 6’7 1/3” for a peak Magic in the afternoon but 6’7 3/8” or 6’7.5 are fair. Barkley is and always has been over listed. If anything the 6’4 5/8 should be his listing here or at most the 6’4.75 he initially was listed. There is no reliable source of him being measured 6’4 7/8”. That article that says “officially” was likely erroneous and it likely meant 6’4 5/8” or they attributed a measurement Jordan had (6’4 7/8) to Barkley. Barkley has claimed 6’4.75” more times than I can count so he shouldn’t be listed higher than that.

Magic may have lost a fraction today which is not surprising being he’s pushing 62 years old later this year. He’s got about 2” on Draymond there and is magnified being closer to the camera. Draymond has maybe 1/4” or 3/8” footwear advantage as I can’t exactly tell what Magic’s shoes give. But Speaking of Magic, he is Magic. Still alive and this will be the 30th anniversary in November of his announcement that he had HIV

@Duhon: from what I recall, there were two different ones. One simply knocked the 2” off each player like you said. That one is definitely not believable for most players. Notably Pippen, Bird, Malone, Laettner, and even for guys like Jordan and Barkley they weren’t flat 6’4”. More 6’4.5” ish. Pippen at 6’5” is too low. Even if they measured him at 6’5.75 I wouldn’t believe it. He was worst case a guy who was very close to 6’7” in his prime. Some players are more believable. David Robinson 6’11-6’11.5 range I could buy and Drexler looked 6’5”ish during his career. Mullin looked max 6’5” and Ewing was said to be 6’10”ish. Ewing’s height is hard to pin down. He looked 2” shorter than Shaq so to me 6’10” looked believable

But the one I referenced there gave a more precise one for Barkley 6’4 5/8” and Magic “closer to 6’7”. I doubt Magic was only the flat 6’7” peak either. But it’s interesting. Somewhere along the lines I found a FIBA measurement for Kobe at 6’5.25 once. That one I could believe as an early morning height (1 hour out of bed) or perhaps even a roundup from a 2-3 hrs if he stretched over 6’5” by maybe a Hair. Kobe May have been just inside of 195cm and was rounded down from say 6’4.8”. I don’t see him below what Rob listed him. Some of the others from the 2000s I couldn’t believe in some cases although Ray Allen I could believe being 6’3.75” (6’4 best case) maybe but 6’3.5” That he’s listed seems too low for him. He looks closer to 6’4” as he’s slightly taller than Wade.
Duhon said on 31/Aug/20
@Canson wasn't that the same Olympic measurement that put Larry Bird at 6'7" which we know is not correct. I doubt there was an actual measurement done by Olympic officials. There haven't been any since 1992 for the NBA players in subsequent Olympics.

I think in 1992 they might have heard NBA players measured themselves in shoes and just arbitrarily knocked off 2" of everyone's NBA listings.
Canson said on 31/Aug/20
@Editor Rob: how much difference would you say there is between Magic and Kevin Huerter? Huerter shows a measurement of 6’6.25” but I see that as a morning measurement (Perhaps even a rounded measurement) and see him more a weak 6’6” guy next to him

6ft 6 and 7.5 for them looks possible. I forget how much of and advantage Magic has with a higher eyelevel, it really helps him at times.

@Grey V: I have a solid 4” difference between Conan and Magic. But I’m not sure if Magic has an advantage with footwear. Magic is still prob over 6’7 today but not sure how far over. That was him pushing 60 when that video was aired. I have Conan at 6’3.5” next to guys like Hasselhoff and Neeson etc. other people who do similar to Rob and estimate heights on the web have him at 6’3.5” too.
Canson said on 30/Aug/20
What do you mean everyone is measured? We are simply taking Conan’s word that he’s 6’4” because he does not have an official measurement on record like the athletes do. I don’t believe he is the full 6’4 but do believe 6’3.5”. People round too. But as I showed in my last post, Magic was measured at the Olympics in 1992 and was around 6’7”. Again Magic Was called as being 6’8” 200 lbs when he was drafted. The former commissioner called it. Then 6’4.75” Kobe Bryant next to Magic there is simply no way hes 6’9”. Rob has him as high as he could possibly be

Says right here that is what he measured. Don’t know why they would make this up.

If they aren't smoked out at the pre-draft camp, padded heights get exposed at USA Basketball team trials. It was in the run-up to the 1992 Olympics that the world finally learned what the cognoscenti had long suspected -- that Charles Barkley was more like 6-4 5/8 than 6-6, and Magic Johnson closer to 6-7 than 6-9. Likewise, it was a measurement in 1988 before the Games (citius, altius -- but not unduly altius) that exposed Danny Manning, who had been a 6-11 freshman at Kansas, as a 6-9 NBA draftee-to-be.

And Rambis looks to be slightly taller. But maybe they’re the same Rambis was listed 6’8” his entire Career. If anything there is a better chance he was under the Mark. Either way it proves Magic is clearly not 6’9”. Not to mention Larry Bird was taller than Magic and he was barely 6’9” same with James Worthy who was 6’8” barefoot

Magic clearly said he stopped growing at 6’8.5” and that is his height in shoes. Notice they now list lebron at 6’8.5” as well. Another shoe height of course

Everyone is measured. That's how we all know what height we are from doctor visits.
No contradictions here.

People do lie about height Magic just isn't one of them. Sly Stallone lies, Tom Cruise lies etc..

Everything isn't a conspiracy. Not everyone lies about height.

Lastly who says Kurt Rambis is taller??
Show me a quality pic like bird and magic back to back exact footwear for both. Where Rambis and Magic are back to back or shoulder to shoulder. Quality not quantity. Again too many people would need to be downgraded for Magic to be under 6'9.

Well first things first, that isn't a full 5 inch difference, and there's also the argument that Conan has lost height and is now below 6'4"

Conan wasn’t ever the full 6’4”. He was shorter than all of the guys we compare him to when they were in their primes and they are older than he is
GreyV said on 27/Aug/20
Magic is not 6'9", that is already a fact. I also think that if it weren't for rivalry with Bird, he would still have his 6'8" listing from his early NBA years to this day.

I honestly think that even Larry bird wasn't a full 6'9" in the afternoon, but more of a 6'8.75"-205cm guy, but just because of his big head, since his eye and shoulder level are similar to Magic's most of the time.

In that video, it does look like a 3.5" difference between them, if you stop looking at Conan's hair.

Why must we believe what some NBA players/celebrities say but not others??

Possibly because it needs to fit a specific narrative.

Conan is listed as 6'4" on celebheights. No way in the world Magic is only 3.5 inches taller.

At the 12 second mark Magic looks all of 6'9".
When he first got in the league he was 20 and grew another inch.

You just contradicted yourself. Which one was measured? Magic was not Conan. And he didn’t grow because Pat Riley also said that he’s 6’7” when he coached him. How is 6’8” Kurt Rambis taller than him if he is 6’9”? And Common sense would say to believe Magic’s listing because he measured 6’7” range at the Olympics as it said. But 3.5”? No. Maybe 4”. Still don’t know about footwear but it looks close. Magic could’ve actually had a slight advantage. But a 6’7.25-.5 makes 6’3.5 Conan. Where is the proof that Conan ever measured 6’4”? Speaking of fitting a specific narrative

Magic at 6’7-6’7.5 is more than confirmed with Kobe and Jordan who both were 6’4-6’5 range guys

I inched my way towards Magic's page after seeing him standing with the tiny 3ft6 actor, Tony Cox.

You see a bloke of Magic's size, and you simply HAVE to check out his height! 😏

6ft7.5. I doubt very much that I'd have the faintest clue as to his height if I bumped into him. The tallest fellow I knew - in recent years - was 6ft7, and I couldn't help but ask him how tall he stood from the ground. He said it was hardly the first time!

If we follow the logic of 6'7.25 for Magic too many would need downgrading. Example Dennis Rodman who I believe had a peak of a little over 6'7. However if we go with the fore mentioned height for Magic then we would agree that that there is an inch in height difference between the two. Now that is impossible.

Rob has Rodman at 6'6.5 & Magic 1 inch taller.

Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen both said he’s 6’6” and that was when they played so they were referring to his peak height. So while he may not have been quite as low as 6’6” flat, 6’7” is impossible and 6’6.5 afternoon height may not be quite what he measured. Magic had around an inch on him but Magic could’ve been slightly under 6’7.5 too (6’7.25 is reasonable as is 6’7.5)

I don't think Bird at 6'9.5" is impossible as he always looked slightly taller than a flat 6'9 during his prime and even later years. In the 6'9.25"–6'9.5" range he's is still shorter than Bill Russell. And that's were I have him at.

Bill Russell was 6’9 5/8” and taller than Larry so Larry being anything over 6’9” is impossible. If Larry were 6’9.5” he would be listed 6’10”. Parish was 7’1” in shoes

It irritates me that both the NBA and the NCAA measure players “in their shoes”, which have varying levels of thickness. It makes determining the “true height” of any one player difficult. And probably 6 7-1/2”-Ish evening height in his prime ... and like you said , possibly even dipping as low as 6’7-1/4” by late night. Most likely in his physical prime .. here is morning barefoot height was probably 6’7-3/4” barefoot ... this would make him rifght at 6’9” and his basketball sneakers in the morning. Making his 6’9” Occasional NBA listing somewhat believable to The average non-height conscious observer. What I do know is that magic Johnson has had multiple pictures with LeBron James well into his 50s ... and magic always looks a fraction taller than the 6’7-1/4” barefoot LeBron James. The Legit 6’9” Larry bird always did look 1.25” inches taller than Magic...sometimes even 6’7.5” in certain photos .
Canson said on 21/Jul/18
@RP: I’ve never seen Magic measured that tall. The NBA Commissioner prior to David Stern called him 6’8” at the Draft meaning he was likely 6’7.5 possibly but we also don’t know when he was measured (time of the day). What I do know is that Pat Riley (his coach) called him 6’7” before as well and if you look at him with Kurt Rambis he’s shorter so 6’8” is too much for him. Maybe 6’7.25 at a low and Rambis was a legit 6’8” guy who was just listed barefoot. Magic doesn’t look over 201 with Kareem or Worthy or with Jordan (who measured 6’4.5 when he was drafted). As far as the “closer to 6’7” you mentioned it just now that they called Charles Barkley “closer to 6’4 5/8” and “Magic closer to 6’7”. If Magic were really 6’7 5/8 or 3/4” they would’ve included the change like they did for Barkley or simply said “closer to 6’8”. Now I believe the 6’7.25 to be a low for him and 6’8” out of bed I do believe

By 1992 he was 6’7.75”... was measured at 6’7-3/4” or 6’7-5/8” barefoot for his 1992 Olympic Team physical. I’ve heard both 6’7-5/8” & 6’7-3/4” from 1992. Which is closer to 6’7” than 6’9”...which brought on the claim from “one reporter” ...who said “Magic was measured closer to 6’7” than 6’9”...saying he was 6’7” & change. He never elaborated on the “change” ...which was 5/8” or 3/4”...I’ve heard both. Reportedly at the Olympic Team Training Camp was measured @ 6’7-3/4” & at the Olympic Physicals it was 6’7-5/8”...Barkley at the Olympic Team Training Camp was 6’4-3/4” & was 6’4-5/8” @ the Olympic Physical. By the 2000’s Magic was down to 6’7-1/2”...but, his peak height in his 20’s & early 30’s was 6’8”. Deserves a peak height of 6’8”.
Peak: 6’8”
Early 90’s : 6’7.75”
Early 2000’s: 6’7.5”
Present day is still holding at 6’7.5”-ish
Canson said on 13/Jul/18
@Gracian: more likely solution is that Magic may have been 6’7-6’7.25 peak. Pat Riley described Magic as 6’7” when he coached him. Remember height varies throughout the day so a 6’7” magic could easily be closer to 6’8” in the morning. Lebron at 6’7.25 in the morning could be 6’6.75 afternoon which is how Celebheights is based
Canson said on 12/Jul/18
@Shane: I think he could lose an inch honestly. I agree. Maybe 6’8 out of bed 6’7” at a low

@Portofino: his 6’8.5 was likely a shoe height in the morning. He’s always been a 6’7” guy at a low
Portofino Blue said on 11/Jul/18
In Magic's book published in the 90's. He states he is 6' 8 1/2". I believe it. Probably 6' 8" know, More or less.
Shane said on 4/Jul/18
@Canson: I doubt Magic was ever 6'8" barefoot out of bed. I'd say tops 6'7 3/4" and dipping to 6'7" or a shade below. I'd say if he ever hit 6'8" barefoot out of bed he lost an inch or more thereafter.
VicLions said on 3/Jul/18
I will give him 6ft8. In his early years he was always being listed at 6ft8. It was not until 1984, his rivalry with Larry Bird blew up and then the 6ft9 listings came around.

One truth is if Magic is 6'7 1/2 peak i can see as high as 6'6 for Howard Stern.

Rob, peak height full 6'8" or at least 6'7.75" is possible for him?
Canson said on 24/May/18
Agree with Micky probably closer to 6’7 than 6’7.5. He has about 2.5”-2.75” on 6’4 1/2 Michael Jordan. Magic can likely touch or even possibly clear 6’8” out of bed but won’t hold above maybe 201cm flat at a low.

@Junior: that’s possible today that he’s under by a hair.
Micky said on 15/May/18
Peak 6'7" - 6'7.5" range. Today probably a little under 6'7" to be honest.
Junior Hernandez 1990 said on 15/May/18
Click Here 7:12 onwards tells that Magic can never be over 6'7 beside an honest 6'5 Howard Stern. Maybe he was always 6'6 3/4 or 6'7.

@Junior: that’s correct about Broome that he’s 6’5”. But he didn’t meet Magic at the Casino. He met Penn Jillette and Garrett. However, Broome said that Patrick Ewing was his neighbor and that he looked 6’9” and change. Another poster, Bruin, met Magic on UCLA’s campus and said he’s 6’7”. Duhon is correct below as the old NBA commissioner (prior to David Stern who has since been replaced), announced Magic as 6’8 200lbs when he was drafted. They’ve always linked Magic and Larry together so they did make them the same height as a result imho. I saw where Jud Heathcote, Magic’s former coach at MSU, referred to Magic as a 6’8” point guard twice In one of Magic’s documentaries. This was after Magic had retired. I believe he was listed 6’8” when he played at MSU. I think Magic could measure 6’8” out of bed but at a low, he would dip to 6’7ish. He looked about 2” shorter than Mitch Kupchak, as well. Kupchak was a legit 6’9” from what I’ve seen in many pictures. Magic can look sub 6’7” today at times however. He also weighs about 300lbs today so I could believe that he’s possibly dropped some height
Duhon said on 9/May/18
There were a few listings as rookie that had Magic at 6'8", I believe they gave him the extra inch to make his more comparable to his rival Larry Bird.
VicLions said on 6/May/18
I think js a legit 6ft8, he appeared shorter than Larry Bird and James Worthy
Junior Hernandez 1990 said on 21/Apr/18
I read up there is one poster name Robert Broome claim to be only 6'5 say he met Magic at a casino saying he is 6'6 in person and claim that 6'8.25" Brad Gerrett is only 6'7 at best.
Canson said on 29/Mar/18
Magic was never even 6’8. Prob peak was around 6’7 or 6’7 1/4 and 6’8 and change in sneaks. Bird had an easy 1.5-2” on him prob close to 2. Conan has never been a barefoot 6’4” guy. Look at Conan with Selleck or Lithgow or Hasselhoff. But of course then you get the Danimals of the world who inflate others to try to make Conan 6’4-6’4.5 when that was a shoe height
Mike O said on 28/Mar/18
At this point he's maybe a shade over 6'7" at the MOST. He's probably even under 6'7" at his shortest now. Even at his peak he probably never topped 6'8".

@Danimal: Magic was maybe 6’7.25. Not sure if he’s as tall as a peak Undertaker or if Taker would edge him that’s tough. Nonetheless I agree with you on this one that magic was never 6’7.5. He may have just been 6’7.25 or between 6’7-7.25

If Magic is 6'7.5" then Larry Bird was 6'9.5" as some have claimed but Larry Bird next to Bill Russell appeared to be roughly the same height with a slight edge to Russell by a half an inch which would put Bill Russell at 6'10" when Russell was a self admitted 6'9 and 5/8ths and he was older which would put Larry Bird in the 6'9" range max at that time. I see you trying to give Magic the benefit of the doubt but there are too many photo's of him with legit 6'9" guys to do so.
Canson said on 4/Mar/18
@RP: when Pat Riley coached him he called him 6’7” and never looked that close in height with Larry Bird. My guess is 201 peak (6’8 out of bed) and maybe flat 6’7” today or a hair under
RP said on 3/Mar/18
Peak: 6'7-3/4" barefoot ...6'8-3/4" to 6'9" in sneakers.
Current: 6'7-1/4" barefoot
Canson said on 7/Jan/18
He was never a true 6’8” range guy. Maybe a 6’7 peak or strong 6’7 who woke up to 6’8.
Frank R said on 4/Jan/18
In many photos from the 1970s and 80s, Magic Johnson appears to be less than an inch shorter than Larry Bird who was a legit 6’9”. At his absolute tallest, Magic could have been 6’8.5”, but he was no less than 6’8”. H.I.V. could have accelerated Magic’s reduction in height since the disease can break down muscles, tendons, and ligaments. In addition, “tall people” tend to shrink earlier in life than shorter people do because of the effects of gravity on the spine. Magic Johnson might be as tall as 6’7”.5” today when he’s standing with perfect posture.

203-204 cms.

Larry is 207-208 cms more or less

Rob, i don't think Tacko Falls had near a foot long head than the 7 foot 1 guy Ian Whyte who you took a picture with. Ian look have a solid 10.5-10.75" range and Tacko look to have just above 10.5" in length it's just that he had more bigger in head circumference measurement but not length.
Editor Rob
maybe 11.5

Rob, is that possible for this guy to be 2m30 ? It's Tacko Fall, listed at 2m30 but he don't look 29 cm over Magic (there is also a picture of him with Kareem and he looks a bit taller)
Editor Rob
I don't think it is impossible, especially given Tacko has a big head which might be nearly a foot long.

Saw Lonzo Ball talking to LeBron the other day and Ball was clearly shorter. 1,95 at the most.
Canson said on 25/Nov/17
@Shane: he could’ve been. A guy his height could lose close to an inch. But he may also have just been 202cm range 6’7.5-.75. Some people get early measurements while others didn’t. A guy like Carmelo Anthony could be 6’7” out of bed and dip to 6’6-6’6.25 as he really looked near his height (based on me claiming my afternoon height).
Shane said on 20/Nov/17
I don't believe Magic was ever 6'8" barefoot out of bed. If so, then he was 6'8" barefoot. I think peak out of bed around 6'7"1/2. Easily fell/falls to 6'7" or so.

more 6ft 4 than 6ft 6

@Junior: yea in some pics it’s appearing like they’re closer but others they can look 6’7 and 6’5” respectively or maybe give or take. If Kobe is that size 195cm I can buy magic as prob 200+ full 6’7”, peak 201 or so
Junior said on 10/Nov/17
Magic look at least a full 6'7 with Kobe Bryant for recent photo, Kobe who could be few mm top 195cm. Magic may have lost a full cm quite a few years back. Peak 202cm is not arguable to mention. I see 5.5-6cm between Kobe and Magic for proper comparison photos.

Kobe 195-195.3cm
Magic 200.8-201cm (peak 202)
Canson said on 31/Oct/17
@KH: Magic was taller than Dr J. Dr J was 6’5.5 peak. But agree on Magic that’s exactly how he looked to me 201 peak maybe flat 6’7” today max

Rob, i guess a few good players in the NBA like Shane Battier, John Wall, Chris Bosh, Carmelo Anthony should deserved a page in your site.

Magic was about the same size as Julius Irving and almost 2 inches shorter then Larry Bird peak. I think he was more like 6'7.25 peak and is now a weak 6'7.
Canson said on 25/Oct/17
@Junior: yea Magic can honestly look 6’6.75 at times today. It’s hard to tell who is taller between he and Lebron now a days hit peak I think Magic was def taller than him. I can prob see magic as a good 201 peak. He would be an easy 6’8 out of bed peak.
Junior said on 25/Oct/17
@Canson

I think peak 6'7.5" is possible for Magic and he is 58 years old now so i guess he had drop 1/4" off peak that is why Carmelo Anthony look legit 6'6.75" with him. Now i think Carmelo is a legit 199cm guy not 200cm.

@junior: Melo at most is 6’6.25 like his draft says. He was 1.5-2” Taller than I was when I met him. I’m 193.9cm at my lowest. Look at a pic with he and Kobe and that’s 1.5” between them. Look at a pic With Kyle Korver and they are identical 6’6.25. Look at a pic with a guy like Boozer who shows a draft measurement of 6’7.75 and that’s more than an inch. Same with Kmart. Magic is overlisted here he’s 6’7”

They also mentioned Reggie assuming miller and he taller than stern too yet they said stern was taller. The pics with magic all show a clear advantage by him. I think rob has magic too high he's about 6'7" not 6'7.5. Maybe peak he was 201cn Howard looks 6'5 maybe peak 6'5.25

@Johno: I think Magic is taller than Gronk for sure. Carmelo Anthony likely is taller than Gronk. Gronk looks a morning height here because with Brady it's like 1.5" gronk prob isn't over 197 maybe 197.5. He doesn't look much taller than Suh either maybe couple inches max. Wouldn't surprise me if his hair gave a slight boost or if he were between 1/8-1/4 and rounded up to 1/4. I don't deny him being 6'6-6'6.5 out of bed but NFL combine is generally a couple hours out of bed so for him to look 197 range that seems a bit high seems more like he would prob be 6'6" at that time max and come down to 6'5 5/8-3/4 based on what I see at least. He doesn't look nearly as tall as Alge Crumpler and sometimes looks smaller than jimmy graham honestly. Melo however I have met and he had me by 1.5-2" from what my wife and others next to us said and from looking at him was about right. I could possibly give him his listed height as we both (from what I believe at least) were in dress shoes. Maybe I didn't notice if he didn't have the same shoe on. But he looks it on the court too and with Kobe. I couldn't put Melo shorter than a nighttime of a flat 6'6 maybe a flat 198 which is a mm under. But he looked prob 198.5 in person.

As for Magic he's overlosted here. He was never 202cm. He was about 201 at his peak at his lowest and has poor posture. A coworker of mine who is about half inch or so shorter than me (used to work with him until he retired last month) said he himself is 6'3.75 (honest guy) has met Magic and put him at 6'7" no higher and that was a couple years ago. He said Magic had him by about 3" or so and he has a 6'7" relative who he said was the same height in person. So may just be Magic's Poor posture. He has a hump in his back sort of. Maybe he is 200 today (6'6.75) and was 201 peak like Christian said. That I can easily see. Magic looks taller than Carmelo does wouldn't question that at all as he also appears taller than Lebron at times and believe peak he was. But he looks about 200 with Kobe just like Lebron does too
