She was standing in tennis shoes after winning the US Open and dwarfed Dick Enberg. That's not an exaggeration. She has to be at least 6'2" or 6'3" and I'm guessing weighs alot more than you people think. A solid, 6'3" girl. Come on - she weights 180 if she's an ounce.

Mmm... Depending how much she fills out, I don't think 168 is likely to be her weight. She's not got the same frame as someone like Pam Shriver or Linsey Davenport. She's not 'solid' through the hips, the upper thighs. Her shoulder structure is to die for...but she's no linebacker. So I think she's always going to be on the 'lithe' end of the scale. (No pun intended.) I might be splitting hairs here, but I'd say low 160s. (Right now, mid-140s at the very least.)
Her height? I think she's done growing. As for what that measurement is, well, I still think the shot with her and Henin-Hardenne is the final word on it. Strange I haven't read any comments from the site's naysayers on the photo I've mentioned...twice now... 6'2" is my guess. Prove me wrong!

She doesn't look more than a good 6'1'' to me, either. I saw a chick a couple of months back who wasn't more than 6'1'' (I'm well over 6'0'' myself) but looked like a giant walking in the city. Some of you are complete idiots.
Firstly, if someone is 6' 2", they won't look that height in EVERY single pic relative to somebody else. Posture, floor level, reliability of other person's height, footwear, etc ALL play a factor.
Lastly, if you're going to post photos of Maria, don't post them from early 2004 when she was 6ft if you're trying to disprove she's 6' 2", which she clearly is. If anything, she's pushing 6' 3", but that's not for me to say.
And yes, Roddick was tip-toing in that picture below. Don't look blindly at photos, for god's sake, use that brain of yours sometimes. If Roddick is 6' 1.5" - 6'2" then he can't be taller (especially by that margin!) without something fishy going on.

If this girl is growing whole inches at her age, she may have some kind of ptituary disorder, or her growth plates haven't closed for some reason. An interesting biological specimen; I'm in medical school and we were just studying growth.
The peak heigh spurt for girls, BTW is around the age of 12, and most girls stop growing by 15. To be growing several inches after the age of 15, and especially 16+ (or in Sharapova's case: 18+) is very, very unusual.

Again 6'2", not 6'2.5". Davenport almost always looks taller than her. And theres not much difference between her and 5'11" Daniela. Also her posure was as good as all the other models...

I watched the recent video from Dubai where Maria and Davenport visit a skiing resort there. Both were wearing same type of shoes. Maria did appear slightly TALLER than Davenport. well actually maybe she isn't even above 6'2". Because I was looking at the SI party photos, and she's VERY close to the other models. And her heels must be atleast 3 inches...they all have similar heels. And she's not that much taller than 5'11" Daniela, so I do't think she is over...

I haven't seen anything to show shes over 6'2 yet barefoot because she wears those heels sometimes. Shes nothing under 6'2 I am sure of though.

maria is close to 6'3 when I got her autograph recently. I am 5'9 and my girlfriend is bout 5'5. When we walked up to her, I bet I could have fitted under her chin and my girlfriend under her armpit. We were thrilled not to say the least .. but also a bit awestruck at this giant teen who was dwarfing everyone for miles.

Maria could easily cross 6'3 in the next year. Girls dont stop growing till they are like 20. Maria is probably in the last growh spurt which can add about an inch or so to her already imposing 6'2. Also all that exercising seems to be really helping in keeping her extending this phase.

It's very intresting to compare her height to players that she played a couple of years ago. She just seems to get bigger and bigger each match, i wonder when it will stop. I could definetly see her being 6'6 or more.

My friend went to see Maria a few days ago in a tennis match. He got to go down on the court and meet the tennis players. Now, he is 6'1'', but he said that when he was standing next to sharapova, she was a good 3 inches taller than him.
