Maria Sharapova's Height
6ft 1 ¼ (186.1 cm)
Russian Tennis player. In early march 2001 she was only 5ft 3 but the next year she had a teenage Spurt and by 2002 was standing age 14-15 at 5ft 9. In 2004 she grew further and reached 6ft and through 2005 had a final spurt and mentioned 'not wanting to be' 6ft 2, but that is what she claims she is now. Her modelling agency give some vital stats like Bra/Bust size 32.5 inches and Hips 34 inches, Shoe size 10US and height as 6ft.

My mother and father are not small, but are not big either. I am six foot two, not counting heels. I tower over them. So where did that height come from? My father says I grew because I needed size to compete. He’s a believer in the power of human will.

@Batpat, nah that's more Debicki range, she's claimed 6'2.5 which is an honest morning measurement. Kloss is 187.3-.7(6'1 3/4 to 7/8) range. I think Maria can look close to that range sometimes with Djokovic, who I have in the 187-187.3(6'1 5/8 to 3/4) range.

I seriously cannot see Alexander Gilkes as low as 182cm. Don't trust every listing you read online. Outside of google and celebheights, about 98% of these website listings are way off the celebrity's actual height. Besides, in the photos of them together, Maria Sharapova was standing on a lower step so of course she would look shorter.

A bit inflated I think. I see her as 6'0.75-6'1. She never looked much taller than Nadal and she was always SHORTER than Fed (6'1 exactly) in pics together where she didn't have a big shoe advantage. I am from Slovakia and I know the host of this show - Click Here Caroline Wozniacki was there, and they both looked the same. The host Adela Banasova is around 172 cm tall. They both were wearing heels and Caro looks maye 2-4 cm higher. So even if Wozniacki is 175, then Maria cannot be 186 cm. I have always thought Maria was over listed with her height when in fact, she is probably around 181-183.

Pg 57:
"Meanwhile, you just hope and pray that you will grow. Every night, as my father read his books on tennis, I'd hang from the clothing rod in the closet. I'd do this for as long as I could stand it. Then I'd walk around the room, shaking my arms out and muttering as the blood returned. When I recovered, I'd take a deep breath, grab the rod, and do it again. I was trying to stretch my body, make myself taller. There is no history of great height in my family. I have mentioned that my mother and father are not short, but they're not tall. If my father is five foot eleven, he's wearing thick orthotics. My mother is five foot seven. I'm proud of being six foot two. It's meant that size and power have been an important part of my game. Yuri says I should be proud because I made it happen 'by hanging from that bar in the closet.' He believes that I made myself tall by force of will. Maybe it was just luck, or a recessive gene. I am six foot two, not counting heels. I tower over them. So where did that height come from? My father says I grew because I needed size to compete. He's a believer in the power of human will. But my mother was about to be pregnant with me when the reactor blew, drinking the water and eating the vegetables, and continued to drink the water and end the vegetables after she had gotten pregnant, so who knows?"

Finally Sharapova's weight has been updated from the ridiculously low 130 lbs to a more realistic 150 lbs which is also not true. Going by her bone structure and wide shoulders she weighs at least 165 lbs for her 6'2" frame

Maria seems to have bulked up during her ban.....she has more meat on her broad shoulders which were skinny earlier. Her hips have filled out and look so much more curvier. Overall the weight gain has made her more appealing

Growing after the age of 16 ? that's straight up should be impossible if you don't suffer of some diseases, with or without hormones intake. Around two years ago I escorted Maria through security at LAX. We were both barefoot and I stood behind Maria as we went through the screening. I had a very good estimate of how tall Maria really is. I am 6 ft and Maria was about an inch taller than me. So to summarize Maria is very close to 6'1"/ 185cm. No more, no less.

No way that Maria is "only" 6' , she's taller than Nadal & Bradley Cooper and she's way taller than Andre Agassi who is 180 cm. She's taller than Agassi by at least 2.5 inches. Also she's a bit shorter than Novak Djokovic.

Does her modeling agency really list her at 6'? The same agency gives Gigi Hadid at 179cms, which she clearly is not, as you can easily see by yourself in any pic with zayn Malik. So, the very max believable height of sharapova is 6'0 on the dot. Not a cm more.
