195cm would be the lowest I'd argue for Newmie since it's been widely agreed that Hoff was 193-194cm range

@Rampage

It’s really strange. Newman looks 6’5” (from what I’ve seen). I wasn’t sure if he was a solid 6’5” guy or not. I have to look at him, more.

I can see an argument for 6’5 3/4” for Bo. However, I can understand many will disagree with me about it. There is a user named Vincent Caleb, who’s 6’4.75”. He met Pete Holmes and confirmed Pete was roughly the same or slightly shorter than Vincent, by Caleb’s admission. Vincent did imply that Bo is more taller Pete Holmes. He did say Bo is clearly taller than Pete.
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 1/May/21
Hyper, Bo would have the edge...he really can pass for 6ft6 a lot. Newmie I'd put in the same category as Robbins and Vaughn. Looked 6ft5 most of the time...
Hyper said on 24/Apr/21
Rob, between Bo and this guy, who would you give the edge to?
Editor Rob
Burnham looks taller than Michael

Newman is at least 6'4 3/4 if Hoff have never being over 6'4 a low. Atually Hoff smaller head would be consider why he keep giving taller impression.

Exactly Rob

6ft3 is ridiculous for this guy...makes Hoff 6ft2!

No way is he 6'5". I could not find a single picture of him being taller than the 6'4" Hoff. He is consistently shorter (even considering thin hair). Look at this:

Newman is 6'3" at best.

Hoff is clearly top toeing in that photo, clearly knows he’s shorter. Watch Baywatch and you’ll see that Newmie is the taller guy

He was taller than Jason Momoa aswell...

Never would have thought he was this tall.

Seems like they strategically tried to make Hoff taller

@ Myself - I try not to compare myself to other women. You get tall ones and small ones and those inbetween. When I was having nurses in every day after my hip operation, there was a very small one of 4ft11 and a very tall one of 6ft1, but they were equally nice and worked well together.

When I was growing up, my Mum told me off when I slouched, and eventually I found sitting in any position other than bolt upright extremely uncomfortable. The same applied to standing. I received compliments about my posture and knew that was down to my Mum!

I started studying nutrition when I was 15 and-a-half, but that wasn't early enough to undo all the rot that had set in when I was growing up and starving myself. Consequently, when I had a bad fall and later did my hip in, my height suffered. (I have the beginnings of osteoporosis). Wearing reasonable heels of 3-4" does give me my confidence back though.

My boyfriend doesn't give a toss about his height of 5ft9, but when he talks about his days in the Army, he always tells me how tall everyone was, and that was years before I had discovered Celebheights! Our height is a huge part of our description, and one thing we cannot alter, unlike hair colour and girth. My Mum loved tall men, and in a small way I started out like that too, but when it comes to choosing partners, I've never borne that in mind at all. Personally is far more important as is a good sense of humour.

I love writing on Celebheights, and being able to chat to, and hear the opinions of, people of all ages. Make the most of your young years, Myself, and thank you so being so very kind!

All the best to you and here's wishing you and your loved ones a very happy weekend.

I think just looking at the mirror is more than enough to judge your current physical shape. But don't be too harsh on yourself, sometimes we see things that are not there! :)
It's interesting how you feel self conscious about your height, even though you are a female and most men don't really care about that, I think. Is there some kind of oppressive "authority" that you perceive from taller females though? It's something I've wondered about, if taller women tend to feel superior due to their height.
Sorry to hear about your father... sometimes life sucks...
Maybe your posture just worsened and your discs became less accustomed to physical stress? I noticed that after i started going for almost daily walks of 3 to 6 km i was managing to mantain 193.0 cm easier and i'd come down to 192.7 cm less often, while now, if it's afternoon and i've had some physical activity i'd be easily down to 192.7 cm.
Although i'm only 23, i'm already to an extent experiencing problems that even most men in their 40s probably don't... I've had 3 epidural injections recently and it seems like my spine and legs have only worsened after that.
I agree with what you said about the site, i think Rob is doing a very good job.
Your comments always add something that i feel like the site would be lacking otherwise.
Cheers! :)

I think a 195 cm Newmie is more possible than a 6’4 1/4” Hoff. I do think there is close to an inch between the two. Listing is not bad, but at worst he is my height of 195 cm. I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt though.
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 10/Mar/21
Chris, I think the latter is more likely for both peak. Newmie at 6ft5 and Hoff at just over 6ft4

I don't think Newman is over 2cm taller than Hoff. Either Hoff 6'4 Newman 6'4.75" or Hoff 6'4.25" Newman 6'5. Talking about peak height.

Oh my god Arch, Newmie is just putting Hoff to shame in that photo...being an inch taller is just a small bonus really...that photo really shows the difference between the two...yeah Newmie may not have the hair but he's built like a Greek God while Hoff looks like a chartered accountant whose on holiday with his family!

@Myself the calculator is pretty close, maybe you need to build up your abs more and the body fat accumulates around your waist. It gave me 11.5% and me being around 12% isn’t unrealistic considering I’ve got a lot of muscle round my chest and legs

@ Myself - That's an interesting essay on the summing up of people's opinions about their own body fat.

I suppose I'm going by my own experience of how I feel about my proportions and those of my closest girl mates. I do possess a set of the scales I mentioned but since losing height and realising that my optimum height was almost certainly less than the 5ft3 I thought it was, because come 4 or 5 o'clock, I'd be 5ft2 and blamed it on not standing up straight, I feel somewhat down about my height, especially because it alters the BMI readings I thought I had. Now I just weigh myself - and not very often at all, and don't have all the body fat calculators active on my scales.

I measured myself a few months after the lockdown began and saw that I'd lost at least half-an-inch since. It was then that I started using my vibrostation again, determined to regain my lost height. I hope it's worked, but I won't be checking until I feel I can take the possibility of bad news. I went to my Dad's funeral a week ago, and I have lousy navigation skills, so I had to ask my way. I was wearing shoes with a minimum of 3" heels, and felt much better and confident as a result. By the time I arrived home at the final station, all my injuries were playing up, including my back, from when I fell over in the snow, which triggered my shrinking, and the side where I had the hip replacement some three years ago. I could only walk a few paces at a time because nearly all the escalators weren't working and had to be walked up. When I started out on the journey, I felt reasonable, but my painkillers were fresh in my system.

Hey, Myself, thank you so much for saying that I'm kind. I think that applies to most people who write on this website. When I was growing up, I'd have found it amazing to think that one day in the future, there would be a place where people could come along to discuss their height problems. I've had people say to me, "Don't you think that thinking about it all the time is going to turn it into some kind of obsession?" to which I say, "I remember how low my brother felt about being so small at school. If there had been a place like this to go to, it would most definitely lessened his anxiety."

I feel Celebheights is a service, where you can find out celebrities' heights, compare them to your own and discuss with others, both growing and fully grown, about how you feel about your own height, and what to expect in future years about height loss.

Now that is what I call an excellent service, and learning about the celebrities we admire just adds to the fun side of things. I must say, I feel infinitely less alone in worrying about my height than I used to.

Cheers and all the best to you, Myself!

It says that my BF is 10-12%, which i highly doubt. Even though I'm 185-186 pounds at 6'4 now, i think I'm closer to 18%. Even if the DEXA said that I'm like 13% i would not really believe it. Don't get me wrong, people have been saying that i look lean and that i should stop losing weight since when i was 194 pounds, but I don't really agree with that, i still have some fat on my lower abs especially.
It's funny how my friend, who is probably like 12% (152 lbs at 6'0.5") is often considered to be too skinny, but in reality he looks good and just lacks some muscle to look ideal imo.
Myself said on 7/Mar/21
@Miss Sandy Cowell
I think both men and women underestimate their BF percentage, and tbh i don't always trust those scales that much. Heck, even the DEXA scan can be very inaccurate. You can see many weird examples on the internet, Igor shows a few of them in this video Click Here
Greg Doucette also often talks about this and i mostly agree with what he says. It's not that easy to estimate bodyfat percentage. In the US most people are either obese or overweight, even though by looking at them you might say that they look "normal" and not THAT fat, but in reality you don't need to be 400 pounds to have 30-35% of fat on your body. According to one study at 20% bodyfat you are leaner than 80% of american men. It became the norm to be fat, so when there's someone closer to the healthy range he will look fitter than he really is and it's more likely that people will refer to him as "lean".

Anyways, thank you, you're very kind, as always :)
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 7/Mar/21
Rob, ok at worst John was possibly a little under 6ft1 but over 6ft flat...clearly has a few inches on Alexandra Paul and Geena Lee Nolin, both 5ft10 and 5ft9½...maybe 6ft0¾?

Sort of like Greg Alan Williams, could vary next to Hoff. Generally around 3in between them...but with Hoff being more likely a bit over 6ft4...I watched his scene in the Friends pilot and weren't any shots of him with Schwimmer or Perry...that would have been revealing.

David I think could be a weaker 5ft 11 guy

@ Chaos Control - That's a useful little chart, which I'm going to keep, so thanks for that! 👌😄

I've just read through the statistics of your family's heights on the General Height page and you really are a fluke with being 6ft2.5 and having short parents.

I bet they all want to take you shopping to lift for the high and hefty items that they cannot reach, especially the women in your family. 5ft and 5ft1 and probably up to 5ft3 and 4 (which I can reach in shoes) are nuisance heights when it comes to shopping for items that are kept up high. In charity shop displays I've even seen 18 and 15 rated horror films kept on shelves way out of my reach, which really pi$$es me off because I'm way old enough, as are many other shorties, and besides, if kids want to see horrors, they will do regardless. I did!
😂😝😂
Enjoy the up-and-coming week Chaos Control (great name, BTW!) and all the very best to you and your family.

@ Myself - How nice to hear from you! I think it's more commonplace for guys to underestimate their body fat than it is women, some of whom have a tendency to overestimate theirs. The ideal solution is to buy a set of scales which measures it for you. They aren't too expensive and last for ages.

Have a great weekend, Myself! XXX

I think 220 pounds is fair enough for a muscular guy that lean, even for that height. Most people just underestimate their bodyfat percentage, and i was one of them too.

Only 15st10 with a musclebound body and height of 6ft5? I'd have thought he weighed more, certainly in that picture. I had a friend of 6ft4 and, having lost some weight, say 6lbs+, he was 16st8 - I weighed him! He wasn't particularly muscly but by no means fat, though he was big and strong and full of energy.

Muscles like that weigh heavy! Another example I can think of was a guy I used to work with who did weight training. He was only 5ft7 and he weighed 13 stone. The women in the office said he had a beautiful body, and I can't deny it, but I'm not the type of woman who screams at strippers! He could have been one though, and when he took off his top and let me feel his muscles, I was awestruck, asking him how long it took to get a body like that and what he had to eat to maintain it. Yes, he was one impressive sight, but more importantly, he was a very nice fellow, and modest too!

💪😁

Michael get 6ft5.
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 4/Mar/21
Wow Rob, I didn't think you were actually going to add this guy!

Also didn't think you were gonna give him the full 6ft5 but you found a quote, bravo...overall I think this is fair and strengthens Hoff's case of getting a fraction over 6ft4 peak. Interestingly enough, there's a new Baywatch documentary coming out in the summer including the original cast and Newmies in it...it'd be interesting to see how him and Hoff would look together nowadays...both have stayed in great shape, this guy though unfortunately now has Parkinson's

I wasn't looking for a quote, but when searching a few phrases the other day I saw he claimed this mark and so he finally got his page.
