Muggsy Bogues Height
5ft 3 (160 cm)
American retired basketball player and the shortest to play in the NBA, who played primarily for the Charlotte Hornets. In a 1997 book it mentioned "he had been of average height for his age, and as he entered school that year, he stood exactly five feet three inches tall. 'Then I stopped growing,' he recalls" and on twitter he said "5'3 is real height!".
I never wanted to be tall. I always knew I will be short-heighted, my mom is about four-feet five, my father is five-feet two, my sister is about four-feet eight.

I really never thought about my height. Other people see me as Five-Three. I just see myself as a person and not really any height. I just play my game and play the best way I know how.

Rob, what do you think about retired NBA basketball player Damon Stodamire’s listed at 5’10”. There’s pictures of him next to 7’7” Gheorghe Muresan who looks about 23” taller even taking angle advantage. Muresan slightly slouching closer to the camera. There’s a Toronto Star picture of him back to back with former team mate 6’11” listed Marcus Camby he looks barely at his shoulder. He would have to be a weak 5’10” at best I think. Honestly 5’9” range. He was a first round draft pick by the Toronto Raptors in 1995.

His Charlotte Hornets trading cards from the era (Fleer et al) had 5'4" as listed height which seems to conform with the apparent practice of rounding up shoe heights in NBA...

This listing gotta be with shoes. I remember in the early 90's he was listed at 5'2". Then in mid to late 90's NBA's PR machine started listing lot of the players taller. I still gotta commend him for managing to get into NBA and how little he was in a very tall world for a basketball player.

I actually flew on an airplane with him. He's between around 5'2 to 5'3 from the looks of it but of course we're talking over a foot difference
