The picture with bloom is very much in beans favour and under the riht angle they are the same height pretty much.As for the bloom/rush pic,The difference there is less than 1 inch,which would make bloom a legit 5'10.5 at least next to rush.With a difference like that I'd think youd see it,but then sgain you cant judge angles too.sorry.

If you upgrade Bloom, then you must consider to add 0,25 inch to Johnny Depp,if not, it would mean Bloom has 1,5 inch on Depp which seems a bit exagerated to me.

Ive looked at alot of these pics with orlando from where he looks 5'9 to almost 6' and here is my guess; It was stated that he was 5'9.5 in US Weekend magazine and the National Post which both are pretty old articles so he probably was 5'9.5 when that was written and possibly grew half an inch in his early to mid 20s...Which would put him at 5'10. But I have a friend who is 5'11.25 and im about 5'10 and ive worn lifts(which put me at 5'11.5) with him and looked taller than he was when he was wearing shoes...so shoes and pictures can be decieving. Glenn im guessing your 5'8 but look around 5'7 to me so possibly when you saw him you were looking up at him so he looked taller and with those lifts around 6'. My guess is he was at 5'9.5 then possibly had a late growth spurt to 5'10.

I am only 1.68m (5'6'') most of the day and always say that as my height when asked for. Nevertheless, most of my friends and working fellows (taller or shorter) tell me that I'm taller than that, putting me at 1.70m (5'7'') minumum, so they can add the same for themselves. I find it so stupid, and really pisses me off. Whether they accept it or not, most men have a height complex, and they deal with it lying and upgrading their own heights, but, who do they fool after that? Just themselves, for sure! Truth is the most comfortable place you can lean on, never forget this!

Ok, I gotta correct my estimate. The picture gives a wrong impression of Bloom. The Lord of the Rings pics are a better source. Comparing the Hobbits or Liv Tyler with Bloom, I'm sure 5'9 must be too short for him. But looking at images where he's standing next to Viggo Mortensen or Ian McKellen (considering "his trick"), I'm also rather sure that 5'11 is a little too much. So about 5'10 gotta be a good guess. (what supports my Johny Depp estimate of 5'9)

But looking at images where he's standing next to Viggo Mortensen or Ian McKellen (considering "his trick"), I'm also rather sure that 5'11 is a little too much. So about 5'10 gotta be a good guess. (what supports my Johny Depp estimate of 5'9)

We're questioning the means of how they obtain their data. Obviously, if they're just polling people's heights by word of mouth, people will lie, that's all I was saying. Editor Rob I trust the University research studies that actually measure people barefoot or the data from some Uk hospital research which again is barefoot. The only thing is time of day, most of them obviously won't be doing early morning measurements.

My wife met Will Smith, who's 6'2 or so and said that she thought he'd be taller. So, I figure, whether you're short or not it doesn't matter. I read that Morris Chestnut said that and he's 6'. George Clooney too and he's 5'10-5'11. It would probably get old whether you're short or not, and these two examples aren't short guys. I'd probably wear lifts too if I were a celeb and were constanly being scrutinized. Even John Wayne reportedly wore lifts and he was 6'4.

If wrong info about a person is published, then that is slander. Therefore bloom probably confessed to 5'9/5'9.5 TWICE. Also, according to 1mdb brad pitt's "best friend" is orlando bloom. if this holds a grain of truth, orlando bloom could easily learn to gain an inch or two from the lift master himself brad pitt(who can gain 2 inches invisibly),. He also does admittedly have the proportions of a six footer. Bottom line, he's 5'9.5 and wears minor heels/lifts to hit the 5'10.5 mark.

Also, according to 1mdb brad pitt's "best friend" is orlando bloom. if this holds a grain of truth, orlando bloom could easily learn to gain an inch or two from the lift master himself brad pitt(who can gain 2 inches invisibly),. He also does admittedly have the proportions of a six footer. Bottom line, he's 5'9.5 and wears minor heels/lifts to hit the 5'10.5 mark.

I typed in Lord of the Rings cast images online to see what would come up, and a lot of pics showing group shots of the cast came up, candid yearbook style photos. Footwear is hard to decipher for many of these actors in the pics, but from what I could best see their height went in this order from tallest to shortest, Christopher Lee, John Rhys Davies,Ian Mckellan, Viggo Mortensen, Sean Bean, Orlando Bloom, Liv Tyler, Dominic Monaghan, Billy Boyd, Sean Astin, and lastly Elijah Wood(who looked really tiny, like 5ft3 to 5ft4). Bloom, interestingly enough in most pics looked smaller than Mortensen and Bean, by at least an inch, who both looked smaller than Mckellan by not much. My guess is Bloom is 5ft9.5, Mortensen and Bean are 5ft10.5, and Mckellan is close to 5ft11.

that is why alot of the time you cannot base one celebs height off another celeb who's height you think is accurate because you can end up over estimating. also i think it has become an age where they are so self consious that there is rarely an occasion you catch them at their true height

Just watched Fellowship of the Ring the other night, and I know all kinds of trick photography was used during the making of that film, but in all the standard shots of Legolas(Bloom), Aragorn(Mortensen), and Gandalf(Mckellan), Bloom looks the tallest. heels give around 2-3 inches, so lets say 3 as a max, and blooms shoes would have around 1 inch so that would have tyler at 6'1 and she appears about 3-4 inches taller so that leaves bloom 5'8-9??

maybe they just are the height of knightley and bruckheimer and other times they just have lifts, the thing to remember i think is that you can always gain height through shoes etc, but even if there is one legitamate photo where you are shorter, it cant be excused, its merely one taken where lifts or heels werent worn and true height is revieled.

when there is a big gap between people it is hard to tell exact inches but i know someone who is 6'5 and im only 6'0 and i come up past the nose area so i guess half a head is about 6-7 inches, so im not sure maybe 5'8 for depp and a little more for bloom

No offense to Glen or anyone else who has run into him when he was sporting his lift boots (ala Pitt, Stallone), but it's fairly obvious from other encounters and pics that this guy is DEFINITELY in the 5' 8" to 5' 9" range. He was a couple of inches shorter than Alec Baldwin in "Elizabethtown" and Baldwin gets listed at 5' 10" or 5' 11" depending where you look.

Bloom was on Leno last night, and appeared roughly an inch shorter than Leno. Tough to make out considering Leno always does the lean in shake with all guests on the show. In regards to Bloom's footwear, they were very easy to make out since he had one leg folded up while sitting, and you could clearly see his 1.5 inch heeled boots. I'm guessing Bloom's 5ft9.5 barefoot, and 5ft11 with boots.

the driving licence doesnt take into account shoes, you can be 5'9 and have shoes which make you 6'0, im 6'0 without shoes on and just my ordinary trainers make me 6'1, and my work shoes make me 6'2 so that photo is irrelevant

You have a point Mikematt.I notice when people are walking towards straight in front of me,I get the impression sometimes they are taller than they really are.I saw somebody I know last night in this situation that is 5-9,appear a hair over 5-10 to me.but Orlando did look over 5-11 to me last year,and now looking 5-10 to me last week.these skinny guys throw me off too.its safe to say,he is between 5-9.5 and 5-10.5.where exact,I dont know.

Hasn't anyone seen Pirates of the Carribbean? He is the exact same height as Johnny Depp. Exactly, in all scenes. How tall is he? 5'8"? Orlando Bloom is probably 5'9" MAX.

Movies are the worst places to judge a celebrities height as camera tricks are used more often than not, and especially in a movie like LOTR, where it was specifically stated that some characters were made to look taller and shorter.

I am 6 foot 1 as I have stated in my name. People look at me and tell me I am a pretty tall guy. When I look at Orlando Bloom I see a fairly average height. By no means is he short but I think 5 foot 10 5 foot 11 is probably where he is at.
