@Mickie: those are probably fair. I can see Hakeem as low as 6’9.5 too if Ewing is 6’10 flat
Mickie said on 24/Aug/22
Yeah Ewing and Giannis should both get 6'10.25" imo. And Hakeem at 6'9.75" sounds right, I wouldn't even cry foul with him at 6'10" but I'm not saying it'd be better than 6'9.75".
Canson said on 23/Aug/22
@Mickie: maybe 6’10.25 and then list Hakeem the Dream at 6’9.75”
Mickie said on 21/Aug/22
@ Shane Gray - I actually like that the NBA doesn't inflate as badly anymore. When I was a kid and first started watching NBA I believed the listed heights like Charles Barkley being 6'6" or Ewing at 7 ft (that's some clue as to my age lol).
Mickie said on 21/Aug/22
I really think he should get 6'10" and change.
Shane Gray said on 6/Aug/22
@Audrey200 It remained mostly the same until 19-20 when the NBA began using their insane new policy which tries to dictate how teams list their players, of which most players and teams hate, is inconsistent and messes up 40 years of height comparisons.

@Robbe: Ewing only looks about half inch maybe 2 cm taller than Dream. Ewing has thicker hair than Olajuwon does. As for Howard and Olajuwon, Dream may be taller but that pic may not be the best. I’ve seen other ones where Howard can actually look as tall. Ewing next to Mutombo or Shaq looks the 6’10 he’s listed here. Maybe he was a touch over 6’10 peak height. I’d say Olajuwon May be max 6’9.75”. Maybe 6’10.25 and 6’9.75 or 6’9.5”. Mario Elie says Dream is closer to 6’9”. One of the pics has to be slightly off as I can’t see Ewing being 2” taller than Howard either

If Hakeem is 6'10 then Patrick appears 6'11 Click Here

Big question is how tall Hakeem really is? He does looks a good inch taller than Dwight Howard, who is not under 6'9, so i believe Hakeem is indeed at least 6'10 Click Here

Maybe Patrick needs a slight upgrade?

I doubt he dipped below 6’10 throughout the course of the day. I can see an argument for 6’10.25
Tall Sam said on 16/Jul/22
Could see him as a strong 6’10”, a powerful guy I think despite being predictably over listed.
Canson said on 16/Jul/22
I hope Rob can add Hakeem Olajuwon

I think Thompson was 6-9

6f 10 is quite rare, so I can see the argument for that being the start of 'tallest men' category.

6'10 is four inches taller than the average height in NBA.
Giannis, Duncan, Ewing, Randy Johnson, Shanky, Collins and Anthony Davis are 6'10.
Jawilder said on 13/Jul/22
Big Pat seems to be a legit 6’10.
Canson said on 13/Jul/22
@Viper: the 6’11 may have been in shoes

Andrey200 The NBA still inflates their players height. DeAndre Jordan was measured barefooted at 6'9 but he is/was listed at 6'11. Steph Curry was measured at 6'2 but he was listed at 6'4 for years until he got listed back at 6'2

@Harry Sachs: not quite. Curry was never listed 6’4”. He was listed 6’3 and now 6’2”. DeAndre Jordan has always been listed 6’11 correct but he was measured 6’9.75”. That’s definitely not a morning measurement for him either. He is taller than Durant and looks 6’10 usually. 2008 pre draft measurements were held in the afternoon. While that doesn’t prevent someone from laying around before being measured, I can’t see that being the case with him

@Viper: is Wuhab really a solid 6’10? He’s listed 6’11” meaning with shoes on
Canson said on 12/Jul/22
@Viper: 6’10.25 probably lunchtime height but I doubt he dipped under 6’10 at all in his prime. He could’ve been 6’10.25. Maybe give him that and Hakeem 6’9.75?
5'10 Dude said on 12/Jul/22
Online I've seen him listed as both 6'11 and 7'0. Seeing all the photo links I can say yeah, he looks more like 6'10. Ewing is like 2 inches shorter than Shaq. He's not a 7 footer, but he's still a giant.
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 11/Jul/22
7ft is extreme but I wouldn’t argue less than 6ft10, clearly taller than Bird
Leighton Tang said on 11/Jul/22
@7ftdwarf Are you really 7 foot? I thought only 0.000038% of people were, and somehow, I found 2 online in this week alone (Out of the few that claim a height)

Patrick is still 6-10

Thought Rob might go with 6-10 1/4

He was listed at 6-11 during the draft

@Rob

If 6'8 flat is the start of a legit giant, then 6'10 is a outstanding giant height/giant of giants and 7'0 is the monster giant category.

i would classify to 6'10 guys into the Tallest Men hashtag without doubt. i see just a little difference between 6'10-6'11 guys. Just take the words of Kevin Durant.

He is at worst 6'10 at noon, at very most 6'10.5". but i go with 6'10 flat.

@Mickie: possibly Ewing was a hair over 6’10 and Hakeem maybe 6’9.5-6’10 range
Canson said on 11/Jul/22
@Mickie: Ewing looked an inch taller than Bird so prob 6’10” but Dream May have been 6’9.5-.75. He wasn’t a full 6’10”. People use the pic with Howard as evidence but he is closer to the camera. They’re about the same height.

Why people who are above 200cm even bother to lie about their height makes no sense..you're already tall AF why are u going to lie on top of it?

Hi Rob, do you think that Ewing should have a peak and current height? Same with Michael Jordan and Larry Bird
Editor Rob
He might have lost a bit more than Jordan, who can still hold up pretty well
Canson said on 10/Jul/22
@Editor Rob: How about a page for Hakeem Olajuwon next? Another Hall of Famer and one of the best centers ever. He’s about 6’9.5-.75 range next to Ewing. Maybe 6’9.5

Mario Elie said himself that he was closer to 6’9” Olajuwon has claimed to be closer 6’10 than 7’ before

Yeah I think Ewing was always about 6'10" possibly a strong 6'10" but never 7 foot. He seemed to just edge out Hakeem Olajuwon who is also about 6'10".

I wonder how NBA height inflation changed since Ewing's time.
