Rob if he claims 6”1 in his big ass elevator boots there is no way he’s 181cm barefoot. You wouldnt need elevator boots to look 6”1, good example is drake who is probably 182cm barefeet, but in timberlands and his airforces which he loves wearing he’d easily measure 6”1 as they add around 4cm. Vin wears elevator shoes and he always looked atleast 2 inches shorter than paul walker. I think he’s 176cm MAX.

Anyone who thinks Vin is anywhere close to 6’ refuses to look at any picture where you can see his footwear.
In some ways, at least Vin is open about it, with the 1” soles being visible, and who knows how much ‘lift’ built into the hidden heel.

This is one of the images from that clip when he is barefoot with Tony Jaa (5'6"), look at the top of their heads its more than 4 inches more a solid 5 inches. Hard to say from the pic to the cm because of Jaa not standing at his best but throughout I saw 5 inches in the clip..
So I can't see him under 5'11" anymore. It makes sense as he can sometimes look near guys who are 6'1" because of having an inch or more footwear advantage.

This guy has one of the worst little man complexes in Hollywood. You don’t have to be a genius to see how extreme his lifts are. In long pants his knees are either 2/3rds of the way up his legs, or he’s adding about 3-4 inches in lifts. No one is that insecure about their height unless they are way shorter than advertised. And no guy who is 5’11” is wearing lifts that ridiculous. Vin looks utterly preposterous in about every photo he takes, because he’s so desperate to be seen as taller. He’s 5’9”, and I know this for as close to fact as you can get. I was in NYC a couple of years ago and we were in the same restaurant. I am 6’0” barefoot, and that day was in espadrilles - so no added height - Vin was wearing his customary gigantic boots, and we were the same height, if I’m being generous. I was probably a shade taller in truth. Without the boots, he’s losing 2-3 inches minimum. And that’s being kind. The things have huge soles, and obviously elevators inside. The man is 5’9”.

This closeup at the 2016 People's Choice Awards looks to reveal a Skechers logo: Click Here We know Vin has worn Skecher Cascade Logger boots so that's a good possibility. Outside of the 6'1" claim, it wouldn't surprise me if Vin has even tried claiming 6'2" because he actually use to get listed at that height regularly.

Editor Robhe wears solid boots to enhance his stature...he likes to look a bit taller in public. I don't know if he has a lift in or not, half to 3/4 inch lifts are tricky to ever spot properly. Once you have 1-1.5 inch lifts, suddenly the laces area can bulge more than normal.
He wears logger boots at times which give him almost 2 inches, so he's looking an inch taller than normal and if he stands impecabbly, possibly an extra half inch compared to those around who aren't at military stance.

@Awkward: Russell was actually measured at 6’3” flat barefoot and that was as is the case with all NBA measurements since 09 an early morning measurement. Not to mention he had a bush when he was drafted so chances are he wasn’t even that. A 6’3”ish early Am less than an hour out of bed would make him 6’2.5 at a norm but my guess is he’s 6’2” flat. This is the lowest I'd argue for Diesel. 5ft11 flat is an injustice. He could look identical to Walker in some scenes when in boots and the latter in sneakers. At 5ft11 flat he wouldn't have pulled that off.

According to a BBC insider Ross was told before hand while interviewing diesel don't say too much on his height claim. Legit source I believe. He's around 5-10.5 max. Sly can look near 6-0 in enhanced boots while being 5-8.5 so diesel can look 6-1 6-2 easy in enhanced boots.

Sly Stallone's favorite shoes for a half decade were Hogan sneakers, which he seemed to insert a half inch to inch lift in based on how high his ankle was. Robert Downey Jr. wears expensive designer high-top sneakers - most of which don't come with lifts built in - and while high-tops would typically conceal lifts like Vin's boots as they cover more of the ankle, in Downey's case, he stuffs in big enough lifts that you can easily spot the bulge. So whether Vin is wearing custom built elevator boots or regular boots doesn't always tell us if he's wearing lifts.

It's rare I settle that much on one estimate with a controversial height, but needless to say, I'm glad Rob gradually dropped him to that and doesn't appear on the verge of dropping him further, although I can understand the average guess, though the flat 5'10" stuff has never seemed possible to me. However, I wouldn't rule out lifts on Red's rooftop photo. It's too far too tell for sure either way and the heels and platform are thick enough to give a good 1.75" absolute minimum without lifts, but the boots even look pretty short, which is typical of elevator boots. With his likely 1 cm posture advantage and footwear, he does struggle to look 2" taller than Tyrese, who I suspect may be more 5'10"-5'10.25" than 5'10.75", but then that would suggest Vin has no lifts or I'm over or underestimating one of them. I agree with your estimates. And he does look a bit out of proportion when he puts on his lifts, such as short torso and arms and high knees. I believe body proportions plays a big role when it comes to hiding lifts. People with naturally long torso/arms and short legs are the best candidates for wearing lifts without looking odd.

That's simply not true, cepinac. Vin is not standing right next to the poster with a straight on angle. If even a mugshot were taken from that angle, the margin of error would be great. Sorry, but all I see is confirmation bias there.
In the above photo, Vin looks about 6 inches taller than Katee Sackhoff. Without knowing her exact heel size, she may be near 5'8" in them. But Vin is also standing straighter, and if you look at other photos, it doesn't look more than 5.5" to me: Click Here That puts Vin at 6'1.5" in boots again, which seems to be a pretty common height for him.

There's the rooftop photo where Vin has huge lifts and visibly shorter than Rock in his own boots and in this video of the two, I don't see more than 5'11": Click Here I stick to my estimate of 5'11"-5'11.5" range and it would make sense that Vin in some of those ridiculous boots with perfect posture would come close to a 6'2.5" man with bad posture, but the photos I see aren't full ones and Rock is slouching. In those instances, even a guy like Sly Stallone could even appear 6'1" in photos, which must be impossible in the type of shoes he was wearing then.
That's simply not true, cepinac. Vin is not standing right next to the poster with a straight on angle. If even a mugshot were taken from that angle, the margin of error would be great. Sorry, but all I see is confirmation bias there.
In the above photo, Vin looks about 6 inches taller than Katee Sackhoff. Without knowing her exact heel size, she may be near 5'8" in them. But Vin is also standing straighter, and if you look at other photos, it doesn't look more than 5.5" to me: Click Here That puts Vin at 6'1.5" in boots again, which seems to be a pretty common height for him.

@Christian: you're right! Not quite as high as Rock. I actually used to think rock wore lifts but now don't. Rock you're absolutely right is 191 with shoes and maybe 188 without. Vin may in lifts be still a couple inches shorter than him even with an advantage

Also, those aren't Vin's boots in the video. They're just random elevator boots and then a shoe lift. It seems Vin's boots are usually custom.
