I'm absolutely convinced that he's no more than 5'10.5.
No one who's around 6ft wears platforms like he does ! Every picture I see of him he's wearing boots which look to add at least 2/3 inches (and probably with lifts inside them on top of that!)... and even with the boots he still looks to be maybe 1 inch shorter than Paul Walker !!

Here is Vin and Kristofer Hivju, with Vin clearly wearing his special boots, as Hivju is pretty much the same height as him barefoot. Diesel is pretty insecure about his height.

I come back to this page every now and then to see if he got downgraded because he should be. On film he looks 6'0" and that is fine but last i checked this site lists barefoot heights. He is 5'10.75"-5'11" barefoot. So in 1-1.5 inch thick boots he is measuring roughly 6'0"-6'0.5" which is where his 6'1" claim is coming from. He needs to be downgraded because when he is not in boots he looks 5'10"-5'11". I would put him at 5'10.75" maybe 5'11".

No way he can be almost two inches taller than she is based on the height you list him at.

Diesel can't be over 181 cm barefoot. When wearing those thick chunky boots plus the lifts inside them though, he is at least 187, which easily makes him appear over 184 when standing next to people. Something I have learned from here.
5ft 11.5in / 5ft 11.75in means that the celeb claims 6ft but looks anywhere between 1 to 4 inches under what they claim.
6ft1 means that they they are probably 6ft but have to claim something different due to the aforementioned group, probably out of respect or sympathy.

Vin is minimum 5'10" to 5'11".....which is not short...c'mon....he doesn't come across as short on screen like cruise and pacino. I am 5'10 1/4" without shoes around 6' with shoes and have never been considered short by anyone.....Vin Diesel is in that range and on film he doesn't come across as short because guess what he isn't....short is around 5'7" or shorter not 5'10" or 5'11"..get for real jealous people.

Well, Arch. A guy who is 5'11 is generally about 5'11.75 out of bed, not 6'... Most of the people do lose around 0.75 inch. So 6' out of bed implies 5'11.25 at evening, unless he loses a big inch (which on very long and "hard" days is not totally impossible)!

As much as I love him as an actor, just saw fast 7 he's absoloutley terrific. But when I see him even in his elevator shoes he doesnt even look a full 6'1, which he claims to be. I wouldnt be suprised if he was 180cm flat, or below slightly. Watching him in older movies, pitch black, chronicles of riddick, fast and furious. He looks 180-179cm. And 4-5cm shorter than actors like cole hauser who i believe is in the 184-185cm range. Shows he's no way near 6'1. And if he is 5'11 he is only just.

I don't believe Vin diesel is packing lifts in his already big healed boots. Walker was around 6'2 and Diesel usually appeared an inch shorter. If he is just getting the height from his boots and no lifts then he is 5'11.5 - 6'0

Ive always doubted whether he is 182cm (5'11.5). Its seemingly obvious he wears elevator shoes (or very thick and unusual looking boots which deviate his posture to looking unatural as if hes wearing heels). Anyways, even with these boots, he was never as tall as paul walker, and in guardians of galaxy premiere he looks a good 2/2.25 inches shorter than 6'2 chris pratt. For a guy who claims 6'1 he's far from it, and i doubt he's even 5'11. Looks like a 5'10 average joe to me. Do you think 5'10 is realistic Rob?

He is one of those actors where its hard to tell his height, he is very well built, I thought he was definitely over 6 feet tall, he is not 5'10" or something like that, he is around 6 feet at least. He seemed to be around Samuel L Jackson's height in XXX, who is 6'2" and he looked like a giant in Saving Private Ryan. He is a big guy but not a giant, but when I first saw him in Saving Private Ryan, I thought he was 6'4" or bigger, he was huge, that is why I thought his character got shot first, because he seemed like such a big target.

I saw him in hollywood last year, he wasn't close to me but i would say he is like 178 at most, and like 183 with his big ass boots on.

Good picture, cobra. I have a hard time believing Walker was 6'2" since he claimed 6'1", but he looks taller than a flat 6'1" to me so I'll assume he was about 6'1.5" and should be at least 6'2.5" in those shoes, maybe slightly more and he's only a hair taller than Vin there so Vin has to be around 6'2" in those boots and is passing for his 6'1" claim. Vin looks like he has lifts in those boots, imo based on his knee height, posture, angle of his foot compared to Walker and they are thick enough boots to put a big lift in, but I don't believe for a second he's getting anything more than a 3 inch boost max, and likely less. He's definitely not under 5'11" at any time of the day, imo. I think he's 5'11.5", seems like he'd be right between 5'11" and 6 feet without his boots, and easily looks over 6 feet with them, even 6'1" as he looks there.

Apparently Vin is the same height as Elvis Presley was when he was alive, which is to say, a quarter of an inch short of the magic Tall Guy mark. All I can say is, when I die and am applying to be admitted to heaven, I hope the admissions committee isn't as picky about fractions of inches (so to speak) as Celebrity Heights. Because when I get turned down at the gates of heaven, I want it to be at least a foot, you know what I mean? None of this quarter of an inch stuff, if you get me. And I think that you do.
