In a 1998 interview it mentioned: "As a kid, he was short (5-foot-5), had a Napoleonic complex and often got into trouble, says actor Wesley Snipes. But he was never bad. He knew by the time he was 14 that he wanted to be a performer. It just took the world a while to realize it. And after he turned 17, he finally grew five inches in a year and a half". On the Howard Stern show he claimed "I'm really only about Five Eleven", although fellow actor, Orlando Jones, once said "lololololol I'm 6'1 Westley Snipes is like 5 foot 7"

That does not surprise me. Murphy is a solid 5'9" or as listed, imo, while Snipes is/was, at best, a weak 5'9". This can be seen with a solid 5'10" Tom Sizemore in Passenger 57 and with 5'9" range Woody Harrelson. The average guess would be closer.

About the same as Sly in 2014 so 174 to 174.5 cm range, which adds up with him edging a 174 cm Statham. Banderas was 172 cm by 2014 without his heels and 173 peak if he was lucky. Actually, Snipes in Converse was barely half an inch shorter than Mel Gibson in New Balance side by side on video at this same time, which also supports what I've said about Gibson being 5'9" flat peak and shorter than that today.

I have a friend who is as tall as Kellan Lutz ...even slightly taller maybe .he measured himself with my stadiometer . I have the blue stadiometer you have :D . we measured him lately right at 184cm ...subract 2mm and he is 183.8cm and it was later in the day . we also measured him as 183.5cm once though with shorter hair . but yeah he is around 184cm

Editor RobSnipes at 174cm is possible, at least he can look that range at times. Has he lost height in 50's? I'm not sure about that, but he could look a more legit 5ft 9 20 years ago.

Wesley did look 6'0" in Blade, mainly because he had 3 inch boots. When I was a lot younger, I thought he was 5'11" to 6'0" but I would later realize that the boots he wore made him a lot taller.

In Blade Triniti they show his height on a card. It says 5'8", which makes sense, seeing he was shorter than 5'9" Woody Harrelson in White Men Can't Jump. I'd say he's MAX 5'8". Rob, you have him at least an inch too high.

I've stood next to him on a couple of occasions. He's roughly 5'6". When you first see him in person, it's surprising how tiny he is (short, small boned, skinny.)

I read the previous comments about snipes and other's about kevin costner and dennis rodman, And remained very suprised so i asked my father the age that he stopped growing and to my surprise he said that he grew several centimetres between 19 and 20.5 years.
May that mean that i will have a late growth to??? ... because I'm 17.5 years old and only 5ft 7.75 when i go to sleep and 5ft 8.5 when i wake up ... though and i'm half an inch taller than my father ... please give me an answer ..

I've seen many movies with Wesley and compared to many other actors like Tommy Lee Jones in "U.S. Marshals" or Ving Rhamesis in "Champion" he is quite tall and I think he actually is 5'10" as he claims (by the way great actor, nice fight style).

In U.S Marshalls, there's a scene where he is holding Robert Downey Jr in front of him, and he looks about the same height, so 5'9 sounds right. I always thought Snipes was taller, at least 6ft.

Im 15 years old and exactly 5'8 and when i seen him in the elevator he was litterly an inch taller than me. To me it was kinda weird because i always expectied him to be taller, when i saw him in blade i thought he was a solid 6ft but i found out thats not true.

He made a comment about the fact that in his movies wesley looks lots taller (it was fun sesing him near conan). Wesley replied "Yes, it always happen, when people meet me they are kind of shy, then when I stand up they all say that I look taller and bigger in my movies"...not the exact words, but I remember clearly having watched that. I think snipes is closer to 5'8, but 5'7.5-5'7.75 for max accuracy. I think he's Glenn's height, basically. And because on the blade movie it said 5'8 it makes my guess all the more reasonable. 5'9 seems a bit to high for him. GLENN did you get a look at his shoes that night you took the shot? People on this site take these stars' heights a little personally, it seems. I'm in the 'Wesley is short' camp for the same reason I'm in the Pacino- Christian Slater-Keifer Sutherland is short camp. I've met them and they've surprised me with their shortness. The Army measures you for height and weight on a regular basis, to measure your body mass index, and to kick your ass if you're trending towards 'fatass' status. So a US Army issue scale put me at precisely 66.5 inches. They have no need to make me feel good about myself, and I've long since become used to my height, so I measure persons I meet relative to my height, and since I'm a decent artist, my eye is pretty good. I actually like Wesley Snipes alot, and have no problem with him acting like an Alpha dude-short people acting like men is alright with me. So when I say he's 5'5", it's because I served him a drink at a function in Downtown LA, and he wasn't quite eye to eye with me, and I was in comfortable shoes. No one here should feel bad for him because he isn't 5'9". He's nice to his wife and can kick your ass all day.
People on this site take these stars' heights a little personally, it seems. I'm in the 'Wesley is short' camp for the same reason I'm in the Pacino- Christian Slater-Keifer Sutherland is short camp. I've met them and they've surprised me with their shortness. The Army measures you for height and weight on a regular basis, to measure your body mass index, and to kick your ass if you're trending towards 'fatass' status. So a US Army issue scale put me at precisely 66.5 inches. They have no need to make me feel good about myself, and I've long since become used to my height, so I measure persons I meet relative to my height, and since I'm a decent artist, my eye is pretty good. I actually like Wesley Snipes alot, and have no problem with him acting like an Alpha dude-short people acting like men is alright with me. So when I say he's 5'5", it's because I served him a drink at a function in Downtown LA, and he wasn't quite eye to eye with me, and I was in comfortable shoes. No one here should feel bad for him because he isn't 5'9". He's nice to his wife and can kick your ass all day.

If anyone watches Blade: Trinity, there is a part soon after Blade kills a human unknowingly then they show his arrest sheet in the movie. The arrest sheet states 5'8" along with other characteristics. I doubt they would round down Snipes' height by an inch, unless Blade's comic book height is suppose to be 5'8".

Editor Rob this all depends on who is responsible for creating computer screens and if they are given the details or make em up. See Art Malik's page - I mentioned they put 2 different heights on the computer screen, but in reality he's 6ft.

My mom (with no prompting) even said he didn't look that much taller than Annabella Sciorra (5'2") when we were watching Jungle Fever. I think 5'8" sounds more plausible.
