Legend is no more than 5'8". I'm around 5'7" and I looked as tall if not taller than him standing next to him. But really, he is one of those people where you don't notice how tall they are when you next to them in person. AME says on 12/Sep/08
I was in the elevator with him yesterday. I am 5'10" and a half and he was at least an inch or 2 shorter than me. I'd put him probably around 5'8" to 5'8" and a half, but no taller than 5'9". JDAVISON says on 8/May/08

Editor Rob, what do you think now that you have Ludacris at 5'-7.75" and Kanye West at 5'8", and also knowing that Pharell Williams can't be anything over 5'8" (since he's not taller than Ludacris except by maybe .25 inches)?
Kanye, Pharell, Nelly, Ludacris and John are all around 5'8" give or take .25" or so. MD says on 10/Sep/06

If he is 5'10", then Kanye is shorter than 5'8.5". I originally assumed John Legend to be 6'0" because in his music video "I Used To Love You", he had a good 3 inches on Kanye. Hmm ... I'm thinking Kanye may be shorter than 5'8". I remember seeing him peform live before he blew up and he looked quite tiny on stage. Damn, he's another one who looked tall in the beginning. Yet now I see he's barely taller than Kanye. As far as him acknowledging his height, in a recent issue of Vibe magazine, he said something to the effect of in college, he didn't have much success with the ladies because he was "geeky" and he "was much shorter than I am now". Did he grow in college?
