Conan is a giant! John Mayer is 6'4" and Conan is 6'6" and on the show, obviously, Conan had dress shoes on making him appear even taller. Pino, the bass player is in fact 6'6". I'll give them the 6'3" make since some heights are exaggerated slightly but he is quite tall. I had the experience of going backstage for the Eric Clapton Crossroad Festival yesterday, of which John Mayer performed, and the several occasions he walked by me it was obvious he's a legitimate 6'3. I'm 6'2, and he stood several inches taller; however, he also wore these what appeared to be thick soled sneakers, which added height, so I'm guessing without them he'd be 6'3. M says on 4/Jun/10

I'll revise my earlier statement based on the Kutchner picture and learning Travis McCoy is 6'5" or 6'6". Kutcher slouches a bit there, but clearly Mayer has an inch on him. 6'3" seems accurate or perhaps a touch understated. I'm 5'6" and when I met him (albeit 7 years ago) he reminded me of one of the Redwood trees in California. Man these celebs are all liars and inconsistent with their shoe lifts. The picture of him with James Blake and the one with Tiger Woods says it all. With tennis players I know for certain that they don't lie about their height, it would be stupid to since they're always standing next to each other wearing the same sneakers and getting photographed. Blake is definitely 6'1" and he looks slightly taller than Mayer. Tiger Woods is about 6' (since Federer is probably a weak 6'2" who lists himself as 6'1" and looked about 2 inches taller) and he looks the same height as Mayer. |
