He's another legit 183cm guy with inflated height on this site. Just compare him to the 186.8cm guy from height challenge # 8 and he will be more than 1.8cm shorter.

Yes, the video does show Reeve taller and much bigger man than Gossett--proven the still photo was not credible. Kudos to those who found the video.

at peak he was listed 6'4 , claim 6'3 but he look 6'2.5 at peak. nowadays 6'1 range.

Gossett looked slightly shorter than 6'3.5 clint eastwood in 1987 so 6'3 flat peak is accurate.

Christopher Reeves is obviously 2 inches taller than Gossett in that video proving what I have been saying all along: Gossett was only 6'2. I see he was lowered from 6'3.5 to 6'3. One more inch to subtract.

Look at his Oscar speech for Officer and a gentleman,hes clearly 1.5 inches perhaps a hair more shorter than 6'4 Christopher Reeve,I certainly wouldnt have him more than 190cm at peak.

James Garner wasn't 6'2, he was 6'1. Gossett, yes, was taller than him by an inch at 6'2. I just saw an episode of Rockford Files with James Woods and Garner was only 2 inches taller than him.

I've just seen Lou in 1971's "Skin Game" with 6'1" James Garner, 5'9" Susan Clark, and 6'4.5" Andrew Duggan. I would estimate him at 6'2.5" way back then. (Garner is not wearing lifts in that movie.)

Wrong Ali. There are many pictures of him next to Clint Eastwood and Christopher Reeves where he is just as tall as them. Just look at Clint and Reeves' pages and you will find them. Just as he has shrunk with age, so has Clint Eastwood, who is also around 6'1" now due to spinal shrinkage and hunchbacking.

I personally think he fluctuated between 191-192cm at his peak.

Morning: 6'4 (193cm)
Mid-Morning: 6'3.75 (192cm)
Afternoon: 6'3.5 (192cm)
Evening: 6'3.25 (191cm)
Before bed: 6'3 (191cm)

I don't belive he was ever truely 6'4 though.

I'm watching An Officer and a Gentleman, and Lou looks way taller than Richard Gere and David Keith. Gere's height is listed as 5'10.5"; Keith's as 6' and 6'2".

hey guys, he might have been 6'3.5, sometimes the camera makes you taller, your approximates are based on his relative height when compared to his co-stars, maybe all of them used lifts to make him look shorter in AO&AG.
