Here's a pic of her next to 173cm Sam Worthington and with 169cm Zoe Saldana, Weaver looks 5 cms taller and they're both wearing same heels, so 174cm for Weaver. I don't think she was ever 180cm, more like 179-178cm in her early days. Could've been her proportions making her look taller.

Sigourney has the most beautiful posture that makes her look tall and slender, she a good role model for tall girls out there like myself. I am 5ft11.5 barefoot who occasionally dabbles with 4 inch heels. I love the fact Sigourney wears heels too.
Also very slim tall women look taller because they are very slim, and for people saying its more attractive or has more advantages being like this i think there mistaken.
Not all tall women can be models it not just about height, proportion, face, skin, etc all play apart just because your tall or beautiful doesnt mean anything. I jogged past Signourney and her two companions (a couple) after my 5th avenue mile in 1995. I was two feet away and we looked at each other for a few seconds. I am 6' and was surprised at how tall she is, as were her friends, and how delicately beautiful her face was, which I don't think the camera captures because it is two dimensional. My impression was she is close to 5' 11' but not taller than me, which is not as accurate as the last post which states 182cm. Francesco says on 22/Feb/10

An odd thing IMO. Keep in mind that adult female physical statistics are about the same as 14-16 year old boys of the same size. Certainly, a 14 year old 5-11 solidly built boy might be able to kick some grown men's butts, but generally he's not going to intimidate even much shorter grown men. Saw her with one of her children (I assume she has a few kids?) at a Solana Beach (southern California) gas station in about 2001; she was in flat shoes, long skirt and *very* tall/thin. That girl could either be sufferin from gigantism or Marfan syndrome, or she was givin HGH, which some are takin nowadays. I don't think it's healthy for a person at a young age to be growin that tall. I saw her in ghostbusters years ago and didn't realize she was so tall. Maybe the ghostbusters are all tall guys. I had the impression she was only average height in that movie, like 5-6 or 5-7. I don't think her height was an issue.Wasn't until Aliens (part 2) came out that they started describing her as tall. I seen 5'11 women and they look pretty tall but on the screen it isn't so noticable. I just saw Siqourney in galaxy quest and again she gave the illusion of being pretty averaged size. Maybe 5'11 isn't all that tall? It doesn't seem to be a big issue for the characters she plays. She played a few powerful larger than life characters; aliens, working girls, but she also has convincingly been in other movies that did not call for a tall person and pulled it off; heartbreakers,Galaxy Quest. So do the people of hollywood, are they able to mask someones height easily? |
