Connery in my opinion was the most masculine Bond, then Dalton. Dalton had something cold in the eyes though and a serious nature which made him look an assassin though and more believable as a government agent. He's always looked 6'2" I think and looked noticeably taller than Brosnan and Moore.

Timothy Dalton is definitely the most masculine James Bond, even more so than Daniel Craig, he is a clear 6'2" actor. I think his stint as 007 was short because the Cold War ended around the time of his second film. The first Bond movie with his successor Pierce Brosnan was trying to rework a post Cold War 007. Timothy Dalton is a solid 6-2, and stood an inch taller than 6-1 Pierce Brosnan and 6-1 Roger Moore. He and Connery are both the tallest men to portray Bond. Rampage: do not try to contradict you, Rampage, but respectfully disagree with you. I see no way in which Roger, in his youth, has reached 188 cm.(guess you mean "in his barefoot") (6ft2 approx.)
In every pic. that Timothy Dalton (187 cm.) appears next to Moore, he always looks at least 4 cm. (1 1/2 inch.)taller, and Dalton is registered on this website at 1.87 cm (6ft 1.5 approx.). So, for me, Roger could have never been taller than 6ft 1 max, though possibly 6ft 0,5 or so. Mr. R says on 1/Sep/11

Lazenby was by far the worst Bond. The others were all credible. like Terryman I liked the range, with the rough charm of Connery, the comedy/irony of Moore and the seriousness of Dalton and the suaveness and sophistication of Brosnan. Rampage(-_-_-)Clover says on 18/Jun/11

Looked very close in height to Paul Bettany in the The Tourist, both in height and bodily proportions. Though footwear is uncertain, he still appears to be a bit taller than 6-2 and very close to 6-3. JellO says on 2/Feb/11

I saw Mr Dalton on Hampstead Heath a couple of months ago as I was out walking with my husband. He kindly returned our greeting and we chatted for a few minutes before we all went about our walk. My husband is a solid 6.2 (a bit over that,when he wears ordinary shoes),well, my husband and Mr Dalton were standing shoulder to shoulder with me facing them and I could tell that the latter was at least an inch taller than my darling Paul. I'd, therefore, say that he is definitely closer to 6.3 today. Neither Mr Dalton nor my husband were wearing any lifts or special shoes.
It has always been known in Britain that TD has been the tallest of the Bonds, a bit taller than Connery (who's not in want of height himself). |
