I thought Zerbe gave a solid 5’10” impression in Licence To Kill, 5’10” or 5’10.25” seem reasonable estimates for this actor’s peak height.

Rob can you update with a photo and "best known for Will Penny, Cool Hand Luke, The Molly Maguires, The Omega Man, The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean, Papillion, The Parallax View, The Turning Point and The Dead Zone"? I'd squeeze in License to Kill too if you can.

Yeah, he generally looked about 5'9"-5'10", I think a weak 5'10" at peak.
Can you add his credits "best knwon for Will Penny, Cool Hand Luke, The Molly Maguires, The Omega Man, The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean, Papillion, The Parallax View, The Turning Point and The Dead Zone"?

Barely taller than Shirley MacLaine in The Turning Point but I think she had on heels.

Didn't look much shorter than Warren Beatty in the Parallax View. Looked about 3 inches shorter.

Certainly looked 5'10" next to then 6'2.5" Robert Davi and 6'5" "Ed Kellifer"

i remember him on a few of the old "gunsmoke" episodes, and he seemed very much like a 5'10 guy to me. ofcourse that was also many years ago.

Yeh, wondered about this guy before actually, in Licence to Kill, stood next to Robert Davi (there is quite a good shot of them together at the quay, when Zerbe's character is warned about loyality, first time he is on screen), he appears to be about 2/3 inches shorter, making him around 5' 10/11" I guess, he could have been wearing lifts or something for the film, seeing as his character was supposed to be quite imposing.
[Editor Rob: maybe he's worth a peak of 5ft 10, now is under that...]

Yep. I sure did, back when I worked at Universal, and in this situation I literally bumped into him as he rounded a corner on his way to the looping stage located on the first floor of the post production building. He was shorter than me, that's for sure, but for once I don't remember exactly how much shorter. I'd stick with 5'9.5" for a starter.
Here's Zerbe with 5'8" Roscoe Lee Brown who I happened to meet at the same market where I saw and spoke with 5'8" Patrick Stewart: Click Here
Zerbe looks about an inch and a half taller. What do you think?[Editor Rob: yeah, in the Matrix film he might have been a little shorter]
Zerbe with 6'1" Keanu Reeves: Click Here
Reeves seems to be wearing sandals while Zerbe has what look like boots on. I see about a five inch difference.
