Roderick your comments just keep getting more ridiculous by the day 6'6" for the big show lmfao you're living in a fantasy world btw i've seen the big show up close he was over 7'0" with boots on i'm 100% sure of that barefoot i'd say 6'11" of course that was in 2003 he's definitely lost height since then i'd say 6'10" today possibly a little under
Sotiris Gravas said on 12/Aug/19
@Roderick Show definitely looks "short" w/ a small guy like 5'8" Kravitz, especially in pics taken up close w/ an upward angle. I was actually shocked the first time I saw that pic that I posted again(?) on 10/Aug/19, where he does look max 6'6". Kravitz could have been on his tippy toes there, or wearing lifts (Vliet could have been wearing lifts, as well). In the 11/Aug/19 pic I posted, he looks taller. If Show was really 6'10", even w/ bad angles, he would NEVER look like a 6'6" man. That said, Show has a big head, so his real height is at least 6'9".

@Canson I could buy 6'9.5" for Show, but not 6'10". I really do think his excess weight has compressed his spine. That said, he did lose weight, he said he was down to 396 lbs in that interview w/ Chris Van Vliet (not sure if that still holds true).

Not 100% sure if Randy Johnson was legit 6'10", but he looked it to me.

That said, here he was w/ 6'5" Mark McWire (1998)... Click Here

Seen here w/ supposed 6'8" Gene Conley... Click Here

He might be shorter now, turning 56 later this year.

@Roderick: I’d go ahead and respond. It’s a free forum. Yes that is a possibility but at the same time I don’t see the people who would say Show is 6’10.5 or 6’11” today despite Rob’s 6’10” listing, getting called out just like you don’t see anyone that lists Taker 6’8” peak or 6’7” today or Hogan 6’4 or 6’5 today and 6’7 peak being called out.

@Sotiris Dude, I would like to comment how short I think Big Show looks there, but I already know how many fangirls would attack me and call me a troll, Lol.

Simply put: He doesn't look anywhere close to any height anybody has ever given for him on this forum.

Orginally, my IN-RING current estimate was 6'10.25", but out of the ring, he looks super short.

IMO in those two pics with the 5'8"'ers, he looks 6'5"-6'6". I don't care if people think I am trolling or not. That's what I see right there. A 6'6" Big Show. Not more. Go ahead and tell me he looks taller than that next to Chris.

@Sotiris: I’ve always wondered about Randy Johnson. Is he really 6’10”? He’s listed at that but is he?
Canson said on 11/Aug/19
@Sotiris: he’s already downgraded Show from 7’0” to 6’10”. I personally feel Show wasn’t a full 7’0” peak but 6’11” range. Today, I feel that his situation is much like the Undertaker. Could be as low as 6’9.5 or as high as 6’10”
Canson said on 10/Aug/19
@Sotiris: and if you see Harden (2009 draft) with Westbrook (2008) you can tell it’s around a 3cm difference which proves what I’ve been saying all along. 2009 was held early morning and 2008 in the afternoon. It says in the article below which has been posted again for the umpteenth time, that the UNC players measured 1/2” some even 3/4” less than they did in 2008. My guess is 3/4 maybe possible but it could just be 5/8” since they don’t use 1/8” increments or maybe Danny Green grew a fraction. A 6’2.25 Westbrook makes Harden about 6’3.5. And Russ is not any taller than that based on how he stands with Caron Butler and Carmelo Anthony both of whom I’ve met. Melo has a clear 4” on him. Butler is 6’5” and Melo 6’6 or maybe the full 6’6.25 he measured at best. Basketball and football combines begin in the 6am hour now a days and have in football since at least 2006 if not before that and Basketball for sure since 2009. It even makes mention to the height variance in the article

Some players measured as much as 1/2” taller at the combine than they did at the Senior Bowl that year

I need to find the link of the Senior Bowl but it’s posted here on the site somewhere

Canson said on 9/Aug/19
@JT: I did look at it and even watched parts of the NBA combine last year and this year on TV. It’s actually because the players are measured by position. So Tuesday morning would’ve been one position, Wednesday morning another, them they wrapped up the last position on Thursday morning. Even if they had begun in the afternoon the day before (which they didn’t because the games were in the afternoon), like Christian said, the players all know that laying down prior to a measurement will make them taller and the goal is to get in the best possible draft position so being taller is better. I know if money were on the line for me and I were a forward like I was when I played (although I played guard as well) I would’ve tried to be 6’5 when they measured me versus the 6’4 and a hair. It says in the article below that I posted of 2008 and 2009 that it’s been proven. And when they went to a morning measurement for that specific reason, that the spine compressed over the course of the day, they would not go back to an afternoon measurment when they know that it’s not going to benefit the players and their is no reason to do so. And the NFL heights are also early in the morning. That’s why they look the same as the NBA. And “we” aren’t fairly certain of them. Maybe you are, but most of the other posters are aware that they are in the early morning too.
If you see when Kyler Murray was measured and others they are always early morning as the measurements were made public around 9 or 10 am that morning. They didn’t start in the afternoon the day before they were all held in the morning each day. look at the links below. It clearly says that 2008 vs 2009 the afternoon measurements for Danny Green Ty Lawson and Wayne Ellington were all 1/2” and one 3/4” lower than their 2009 measurements. It also says going back even further in the NFL to 2006 that Rise and Shine was at 6am and the players went to the RCA dome for drug tests then took physicals which included measurements. It says Vincent Jackson was measured 6’4.75 but at the senior bowl he was 6’4 3/8. Nick Mangold was 6’3 5/8 but at the senior 6’3 1/4 and there were many others. The Senior Bowl used to measure in the afternoon but now it’s also in the early morning. That’s exactly how I would measure after an hour out of bed. I would be between 1/3-3/8” shorter than I am when I wake up. I would go down around 3/4” to 2cm from a whisker over 6’5” to about 6’4 1/4 in the afternoon

Canson, if you look at the 2018 draft, the measurements finished up on a Thursday morning, which means the measurements probably started the previous afternoon. Maybe it takes longer than we realized to conduct all of the measurements, so ones that start in the morning may not finish up until later in the day depending on the number of players at the combine. Measurements for the 2014 draft were reportedly conducted in the afternoon. For the 2019 draft, one article said Bol Bol measured 70.75” w/o shoes “earlier” that day and Tacko Fall measured 7’5.25” w/o shoes that “afternoon.”
If you ever see an NBA player next to others whose heights we are fairly certain of, including NFL players, the NBA players rarely look shorter than what they were measured at during the combine. Click Here

As an honest poster, and not someone who goes by kayfabe or whatever you wanna call it, I do see Big Show being the full 7'0" peak and still around 6'10.25" or just 6'10" flat today.

In a staredown, Big Show standing straight and tall with an unhinged neck never fails to look at least 6'10". Therefore, I believe when propped up against the wall for a measurement, he is still min 6'10". I don't even rule out 6'10.25"-6'10.5" but I don't think he is 6'11". That we can probably rule out.

@Sotiris How tall do you think the Rock and Batista were at their peaks?
Canson said on 7/Aug/19
@Christian: not to mention it says it right there in the article that I posted that science has proven that people are taller in the AM than the PM. I know if that’s me and I’m doing drills and measurements for millions of dollars at stake, I would do what I can to measure taller. Not to mention, people aren’t going to work out prior to the combine. They do drills and also scrimmage there again for draft status. I respect JT and he’s right that there are no rules but that last part about the possibility of workouts at 5am or before combine is weak. First of all they wake up at the time that is set for them to be there and that would exhaust them if they did that which would negatively impact their potential status. Not to mention the part about availability to measure throughout the day. They measure in groups in football but they’re every day of the week early morning. Theyre around the same time for all players during the combine. They’ve begun doing that in basketball now too whereas a couple years ago it was everyone regardless of position measured the same morning.
Canson said on 7/Aug/19
@Christian: the comment is one thing but his logic in saying that Conan is taller than “6’4 listed guys” is even dumber. I’ve already proven that Hoff and Neeson are both clearly taller and he knows that they are and Selleck is under 6’4 at his peak (Selleck admitted to only being 6’3.5) is taller in the video and Lithgow looked taller. Conan thought Selleck was 6’4-6’5 so he knew he was taller because Conan has never claimed but 6’4/6’4.5 (shoe height). That is the only comment that the poster has ever made so he’s likely a troll. But I bet if I had said Conan was 6’4 or 6’5 then I wouldve never received the comment

@JT
There are no rules stating that players aren't allowed to engage in physical activity prior to measuring, but most players are smart enough to not do it since they wanna measure as tall as possible. Some players even stretch and lay down to preserve height.
Canson said on 6/Aug/19
Didn’t mean to say arm strength. They do strength drills
Canson said on 6/Aug/19
@JT: something else to remember is that they are all on a set timeline as far as waking up and the fact that they test things like wingspan and other measurables involving strength. They wouldn’t work out before they hit the combine.
Canson said on 6/Aug/19
@JT: I posted the link that said in 2009 that NBA pre drafts were held early morning. There is no link that says anything about them working out. Since 2009 it’s likely that they’ve all been held early morning. I can’t verify if it happened before but since 09 it’s almost a guarantee because the NFL is also held early morning as we have seen. It specifically says early morning and we saw the Blake Griffin video where he went straight from the room out of bed to the gym. No shower nothing.

Canson, post the link that says every NBA pre-draft measurement is conducted early morning or even morning (and that the players are not allowed to engage in any physical activity prior thereto that could reduce their height).

I saw his comment, and yeah, it's ridiculous. What he accused you of doing is false, because you don't always "downgrade" heights. Some of your estimates agree with Rob's, and a few of them are even higher than his.
Canson said on 5/Aug/19
@Roderick: his estimates aren’t all that bad. Theyre only “bad” to others because they are lower than what Rob lists them. Some of his estimates are actually spot on.
Canson said on 5/Aug/19
@Sotiris: don’t stop posting just because some people don’t agree with you.
Canson said on 5/Aug/19
@Christian: what’s funny is you see some posters here who always add like one who insists Carmelo is 200 cm and Lebron 203 and inflated every soccer player. Yet you don’t see or hear “Rob you should ban him” or that’s “insulting to Rob”. Sometimes it’s directed right toward Rob telling him that he’s wrong or that they disagree but either way when it’s not it’s still them disagreeing. I don’t see why or how what Sotiris said is any more “insulting” or however you wanna put it. It’s an opinion but because it’s an assumption that the person is shorter than Rob lists them. And to add, Rob has stated before to assume that each listing is around 5 hours out of bed. When we know athletes measure in the early morning then they’re not. Rob has even said this before. So by site standards Sotiris is not as wrong as people insist he is
Canson said on 5/Aug/19
@Sotiris: Klay i would say that’s the minimum. He could be like 6’5 3/8 imho as he looks maybe a CM taller than Draymond at times. I think Draymond is 6’5” flat. Klay at 6’5 3/8 means he may have been the solid 6’5.75 when he measured early morning whereas Draymond may have been rounded up or lose more height. That looks closer to 4.5” on Renaldo but Klay doesn’t look as tall as Shaun Livingston who is close to an inch maybe around 2cm or so taller. I can buy Livingston’s 6’6.25 or worst case 6’6” flat. I agree for Love and Durant both stronger 6’7 and 6’9” guys
Sotiris Gravas said on 5/Aug/19

@Christian I fancy myself the persecuted Galileo of CelebHeights (as opposed to Copernicus) lol. (Most ppl don't like to be told they're wrong.) Given that I post here very often, it's not surprising that ppl who don't think highly of me or my estimates will give voice to their towering rage, spurred on by their own hubris. @Christian: the funny part is that anytime and I mean anytime a celeb is guessed or implied to be lower than Rob lists them you are downgrading. Go look at this idiot who called me a downgrader on Conan’s page and said “Conan edges legit 6’4” guys out when we know he is shorter than all the ones who have been on his show. Sometimes people say dumb sh*t and don’t even think twice about it. That’s called fanboys. But I stick to what I said because one of the ones who called Sotiris out in particular only makes those snide comments toward people when the estimates are below Rob’s. He’s also upgraded a few celebs on his own to make math work. You can go and look at any page and tell that it’s always a comment about someone being rude or taking a shot at Rob when the estimate is lower but nothing when it’s higher than his listing.

Sotiris estimates aren't even that bad..... they are actually pretty accurate from what I've seen.

Honestly yeah at first it sounds silly to say Big Show is 6'9" or Great Khali is 6'10", but once you look into it you can see where he's coming from with actual evidence.

His estimates are better than most users IMO

6'6.75" peak for Undertaker is more realistic than 6'8" peak for Undertaker

6'5.5" today for Kane is closer to reality than 6'7" today for Kane

Just a few example of how Sotiriss estimates aren't even bad...

Do I agree with most of them? No. Do I respect ALL of them? Yes.

He actually changed my mind on Khali, I used to think Khali was 7'1" peak, but now I think he was 7'0" max peak. I have met Khali and thought he looked at least 7'0" but he was wearing massive shoes. Today Khali might only be 6'11".

Never seen anyone on CH that constantly gets so much criticism as Sotiris gets. Even Viper once low key called Sotiris out, and Viper is also in the same boat as Sotiris in that he often gets bashed for being a "downgrader". To be fair though, Viper's comment toward Sotiris wasn't nearly as bad as the others.

@Roderick: just watch. Rob obviously encourages different opinions but get used to seeing those types of comments from other posters if you estimate “below” Rob’s listings. If you consistently inflated you won’t have an issue though. People don’t like Sotiris is what it is. Christian and I have seen those comments before too but only when it’s below what Rob estimates never when we agree with the listing or estimate slightly above as we do on occasion. You may get comments but they aren’t snide and critical in nature nor do they reflect the same tone
Canson said on 4/Aug/19
@Christian: this has also happened to me before. The “name dropping” of Rob when I give my own opinion especially if it’s less than Rob lists them. I love how people think giving someone the guilt trip using Rob as leverage is going to make them cave. I’m not going to mention who because that poster also commented on this page tried to tell me I took a shot at Rob in essence because I estimated them lower than he did. I don’t get it. I bet the same posters here wouldn’t be saying that if Sotiris had guessed him higher than Rob lists him here. I don’t agree with all of Sotiris’s listings of course and I’ve been vocal about it but I respect him. He at least has logic behind why he doesn’t

@JT: I don’t know if Webber has met Durant standing up. Maybe sitting when he interviewed him. If you read the article closely it said Webber feels he “would” be 3” taller than him. He didn’t say he was definitively. And Webber is 6’9.5 in shoes not barefoot. Mo Cheeks even said when he played for the 76ers that he was 6’8/6’9 which means that he’s probably a weak 6’9”. I don’t care what the measurement said because it may have been rounded up or not been later in the day. Notice how short he was with Rasheed Wallace who is 6’9.75 or Kevin Garnett. And lastly, I just proved that the NBA pre drafts were all early morning so what you are telling Sotiris is incorrect. He is right and you are wrong here. You all keep saying the pre draft measurements this and that. They don’t measure at different times of the day. It said all players in the article I posted. If you watched the Blake Griffin video it’s clear that they didn’t work out prior to the combine so I don’t even know why that would be a factor. Those guys have to do drills and play pickup and they wake up knowing all of that so them working out at 5am should not even be a consideration here because they didn’t.

As for Webber saying Durant was 7 feet tall, the context was that he was obviously joking, not implying that Durant is 6'10", when he obviously isn't, as seen next to a weak 6'10" like Anthony Davis.

Webber is max 6'8.5". Magic says he's 6'9", but we all know he's not.
W/ 6'7" Magic... Click Here
W/ 6'5.5" Reggie Miller (2017)... Click Here
W/ 6'4.75" Kobe Bryant (2011)... Click Here
W/ 6'4.5" Charles Barkley (2006)... Click Here

Here's Webber towering over Undertaker, who the WWE billed as 6'10", lol... Click Here

You showed me upward pics -- taken up close. I'm the guy who explained to you how that can cause distortion. There's no crazy upward angle here for Ming and Bradley... Click Here The Muresan/Bradley pic is an upward angle taken from their feet, lol, like this... Click Here

The Love/Durant/Davis pic I posted is head-on, no upward angle... Click Here How is this "misleading"? They're obviously standing on a level surface, not on a sandy beach. Seeing footwear here is irrelevant; they're all wearing sneakers -- no surprise cowboy boots, I assure you, lol. A weak 6'10" Davis means Durant obviously isn't 6'10" -- it's as simple as that.

Here's 6'7.25" Love w/ 6'10.25" Chris Bosh... Click Here , Click Here Love was measured 6'7.75" which is clearly a morning measurement.

Draymond Green and Klay Thompson are 100% not their morning measurement of 6'5.75". You can take that to the bank. There are plenty of folks who insist Durant grew to 6'11", which is absurd. Here's Durant w/ 7'0" Joel Embiid... Click Here , Click Here

Kevin Durant is obviously 6'9.25". If you want to believe he's taller, go right ahead. As for me winning the debate, w/ all due respect, it was over before it started.

@Sotiris: I disagree. 6’9” is too low for him. He just like Taker and Hogan, has really bad posture. He may not be able to stand straight for long stretches which is common for the extremely tall guys like him. Not saying he didn’t lose height from his prime but I think he’s still at least a weak 6’10” 6’9.5 minimum and has a good chance at 6’10” even today If he is able to stand tall today.

@Danimal comment on 01/August =It's seems to me not logical to lose height systematically by hip surgery/replacement . Example = if a guy has only the right hip surgery/replacement,why specialists would made his right leg shorter than the left leg ?Not Logical imo.Big Show to me never had particularly long legs for his height Click Here Click Here .However i think he had relatively young some problems in his legs due to his big weight and hard practice of catch that explain his wraps/bandages in his 40 = Click Here and then (supposition)he started young to lose a little bit height

Sotiris, with all due respect, you’re never going to win a height debate when you keep posting less than full body shots to make your point. Here, I can “prove” Calvin Lane is no taller than Shaq since they look similar next to Magic when we know Lane is significantly taller Click Here Of course we don’t know anyone’s footwear, including Lane’s, whether Lane is on his tip toes with Shaq, whether the floor is level, etc.

I can argue Anthony Davis is only around 6’6”-6'7" with Alvin Gentry Click Here when it’s evident from full body pics he’s really 6’10” plus Click Here With the number of pics out there, there’s no reason not to post full body shots so we can see the footwear, the stances, whether the ground is level, whether the camera is tilted, etc. unless the poster has an agenda...

Even full body shots can be misleading at first glance. Click Here Gheorghe Muresan looks shorter next to Shawn Bradley than Yao Ming does next to Bradley in your pic. By your logic, this "proves" Yao is taller than 7’7” Muresan, right? No, b/c this Muresan-Bradley photo has a camera tilt in favor of Bradley, the camera is on his side, and he is fully stretching out, unlike Muresean (and Yao). And as usual, your photo of Yao and Bradley is less than full-body.

Also, there’s no set time of the day for NBA combine measurements. Some guys may be measured in the morning, some later in the day. I’ll go with the combine measurement for now unless we know for sure it’s a first of the morning measurement. Then again, what if the guy who was measured early morning had been at the gym at 5:00 a.m. and had a heavy workout?

Chris Webber measured 6’9” w/o shoes (and claims to be 6’9.5”) but claims Durant is 3 inches taller than him. Click Here That’s clearly wrong but Webber’s not going to get the impression Durant is that much taller than him if Durant was only a shade over 6’9” w/o shoes like you and a few others claim.

@Philip Lmao what? Are you serious? We are supposed to just look at the listing and comment "Agree!" or "You're absolutely correct!" and just move on? You are also a hypocrite, you don't even agree with most of his listings. These comments exist so we can express our opinions and debate the heights lmao. Not to just comment "I agree."

I can't believe someone actually typed out and suggested that people deserve to be Banned for disagreeing with an estimate LOL
Canson said on 2/Aug/19
@Danimal: probably posture related just like Taker or Hogan. Very tall guys like that don’t always have the best posture. While 6’9” range is possible I doubt he’s 6’9 flat. 6’9.5-6’10 or a full 6’10 is possible (not sure how likely) if he stands straight. I doubt he’s less than 207cm range tho
Canson said on 2/Aug/19
@Philip McMullin: no disrespect but your comment makes no sense. If we all were yes men and agreed with Rob on his estimates, we would not even post. There would be no comments here and Rob would likely have no site whatsoever. That’s the problem, too many people here try to kiss Rob’s a$$ by agreeing or by getting on someone who doesn’t. Yet I doubt you or any of them would be saying anything if Sotiris thought Show or Hulk Hogan or any of the others were taller than Rob lists him. I’m sure you have not always estimated someone where Rob has them. I’m sure you have thought someone was taller before too. That’s really not any different from estimating them less than Rob has them (in regards to your argument) because it’s still not in agreement with rob and his estimate so i don’t see what the issue is. I guess if you feel that way, there is no point in even posting on your part because you have no value to add. You’re only even bashing Sotiris because he estimates lower than Rob does

The difference between Doug Collins calling Pippen 6’9” is that he was inflating him just like Phil Jackson did. Pippen probably was 6’8” range in shoes so they were upping him. But no real person is going to say that another athlete that they coach is shorter than they are and actually mean it. That does not happen no matter what people here want to say. It’s pretty silly to be honest
Canson said on 1/Aug/19
@Creeper: I think 1.5” between Shaq and Show when they were in the ring. He was definitely still 6’10” until a few years ago and may still be today, who knows. If he really goes under that mark it’s just by a little. I could see anything from 6’9.5-6’10 same as I see Undertaker he could be in the 197cm range today but not less than that and not more than 6’6” flat whereas Show could be in 6’9.5-6’10 range but he isn’t less than 6’9.5 and not over 6’10” today I doubt

Also, you say I do it frequently, which I feel is you trying to put forward a false narrative which plays to your bias. Funny how Editor Rob has never chastised me for what you're alleging. I've had ppl coming at me from Day One, calling me a troll, simply b/c I refuse to inflate the height of their heroes.

You said I pick and choose pics that suit my agenda, when talking about Khali... Really? Here are pics of Khali w/ a fan that I ALREADY posted... Click Here , Click Here , Click Here , Click Here Notice that I posted ALL of the pics I could find, not pics that I cherry-pick. Fan and 5'9.5" GSP... Click Here

As for Dwyane Wade, here he is w/ max 6'6.75" LeBron James... Click Here

Wade and Hogan (2007)... Click Here Hogan is 100% not 6'3".
Same fan w/ Hogan... Click Here

Yao Ming is not 7'5". Here he is w/ Shawn Bradley, also listed 7'6"... Click Here

As for Lindsay Kay Hayward, I already proved she's 100% nowhere near 6'8" barefoot, and your rebuttal is that she was listed at 6'9" in college... And? So?

Here's Hayward (footwear unknown) w/ Boomer Esiason (2011)... Click Here
Boomer w/ 6'8" (not 6'9") Alonzo Mourning... Click Here
W/ maybe 6'5" flat Peyton Manning (2005)... Click Here
W/ 6'4.25" Eli Manning (2011)... Click Here

Reminder: same fan as w/ Khali, seen here w/ Hayward in maybe 3" heels (2010): Click Here

Same fan w/ Big Cass... Click Here , Click Here
W/ 6'7" Tyler Mane (2013)... Click Here

Her maybe 3-inch heels that day... Click Here

So, as you can see, 6'5" for Hayward is clearly not "nuts." Again, this is something I've already proven. Something you refuse to accept.

So, once again, to recap... everything you said has been 100% refuted. How does that make you feel?

Look how small and tiny his hips and thighs are now. I'm not talking about the weight loss. I'm talking about how much shorter his legs are and how much narrower his hips are. @Vegas: I don’t agree with him on Hayward’s height along with some of the others that are too low which I’ve made clear to him before as well, but some the others such as Wade, I don’t see why it’s not a possibility. If we accept his pre draft then you should be able to accept Barkley’s 6’4 5/8 and it would mean Merriman is 6’4 when he’s definitely not that tall. Wade has said himself “I’m 6’4 on a very good day” as has his coach. That means he’s probably (I say definitely) not 6’3.75 and he never looks it on the court with guys that are 6’4/6’5 such as 6’4 5/8 Charles barkley or a 6’4.5 morning measured Justice Winslow (probably only 6’4 flat) or even with Ray Allen who is at most 6’4”. You refer to a video with Strahan and pic with Kobe. There are other instances when Wade doesn’t look that height but you don’t want to accept those pics. And You did the same on the Rock’s page when the Rock was favored with Suh you said he’s only an inch shorter. Then when we posted a better pic at the same event, you had an issue with that picture. At least if you’re gonna argue, then be consistent. You also said about Sotiris picking and choosing when you did it on Rock’s page. And I say that because you once told me “you can’t pick and choose what you believe” yet you do that. And I don’t see where Sotiris verbally abused anyone here. To be honest, if he did it to anyone here who is attacking him, it would be justified because He’s the one being abused if anything. Not saying he hasn’t had situations where he hasn’t handled it 100% perfectly as have many of us here, but Rob already said below that he doesn’t take offense when people disagree with him. I feel that everyone here is going in on Sotiris just because his estimates are lower than Rob’s. If it were opposite (and this isn’t directed at you because I’ve at least seen you challenge inflated heights people make), I doubt he’d be receiving this level of backlash. It seems as if the fact that he estimates lower than Rob is forcing people to react that way more so than what he’s actually saying in his posts. There are several others here who verbally abuse people when they upgrade several inches but they aren’t being lectured by everyone

The reason I gave Klay Thompson and Draymond Green both 6'5.25" is b/c the 6'5.75" was a morning measurement. Same for Steph Curry at 6'1.5" rather than 6'2". Aaron Rodgers' 6'2" listing is an error; he's around 6'1".

As for Yao Ming, he, himself, has stated that he was 7'3.75", before he grew taller. I'd be willing to believe 7'4.25" for Ming. If I'm wrong, then 7'4.5". Joakim Noah is 6'10", 6'10.5" is a morning height... Here's another pic of them together... Click Here

Here's Ming (listed 7'6") w/ Jaber Rouzbahani (listed 7'4")... Click Here

Ming w/ Pau Gasol (listed 7'0")... Click Here

Ming w/ Shawn Bradley (also listed 7'6")... Click Here Clearly, Bradley is closer to his listed height and while his head is tilted up slightly, he has Ming by more than 1 inch.

Shawn Bradley w/ Gheorghe Muresan (listed 7'7")... Click Here

Here's Shawn Bradley w/ Pavel Podklozin (listed 7'5") Click Here

Bradley and now 7'3" Mark Eaton... Click Here
Eaton w/ 7'6.75" Manute Bol... Click Here

Yeah, Andre definitely didn't look as tall as Ming next to Wepner, that's for sure.

But if you are going to say that about Sotiris or about people who estimate a celeb lower than Rob, then you would need to be consistent and say the same to the handful of other guys who estimate higher than Rob. I know that you’ve seen people who estimate almost every celeb higher than Rob lists them. I don’t want to mention names but it’s clear who some of them are. There are some who’ve been on this site for years that always do it and it’s accepted. That’s only fair if it works one way it has to work the other. I’ve only been around here for 4 years and I’ve seen people even belittle Rob for “downgrading” a celeb or not listing them as high as they would like to see them listed too but it’s rare that anything is ever said to them. And when I say belittle, I mean one case where Rob even responded back to them and likely Banned the person and if he didn’t was very lenient because the person went off on Rob to where he even told them you have personal issues you need to address or something along those lines. Now I dont agree with Sotiris on his estimates. Taker and Hulk are two that we definitely don’t agree on and even Boomer Esiason. Also there is Rick Barry and Dr J. Editor Rob

For one visitor, a listing may match their own opinion and be 'accurate', whilst for another visitor, the listing might be an inch different than their own estimate and be classed as 'inaccurate'. Ultimately, all listings are estimates.

When people call listings inaccurate, I don't take any offence. It's merely a disagreement on our estimates.

Click Here Jagdeep Singh’s not 7’6” even in his turbin. The car is 58” tall. Subtract a bit from that given the weight of the driver but he’s still comfortably over 7 feet. If he ever measured 7’6”, it would have been if the doctor factored in some severe kyphosis or other spinal curvature

@Roderick

I've already shown that Jagdeep is around Shaq's height, as seen next to 6'3" Dwyane Wade, and yet you STILL tell me I'm wrong b/c of what YouTube says. Do you honestly think I give a (bleep) what YouTube says or doesn't say? Measured by whom? Witnessed by whom?

Guinness World Records says that Lindsay Kay Hayward is 6'8.25" barefoot, and yet I've already posted evidence which shows she's probably only 6'5" and was measured in shoes, or that Guinness just took her word for it... meaning even Guinness is a joke.

In other words, don't believe everything you hear, just b/c a third party tries to come across as some kind of legitimate authority.

That is to say, when someone (like me) posts something that your eyes can see, believe it, rather than reverting back to your conditioned response of brainwashing.

P.S. Andre the Giant had that giant Afro he tried to fool ppl w/, and Jagdeep had that HUGE turban in that pic w/ Wade. Don't be fooled by big hair or headgear.

P.P.S. Remember, this is max 7'0" Shaq next to around 7'4" (not 7'5" or 7'6") Yao Ming: Click Here

And this is Ming next to around 7'8" (not 7'9") Sun Mingming... Click Here The guy in the middle is 6'1.25" Kaka.

There's no way in hell Jagdeep is 7'6".

P.P.P.S. Don't be so gullible, bro. I actually met Martin Paquette, who's listed as 7'3". He told me he was 7'2", and might have been as low as 7'0" (not positive about his posture.)

I got your point, according to me that one would be a too short division 1 but I struggle to see him a strong 6'11 barefoot.
Also pictures of Taker with his basketball team shows him as one of the tallest if not the tallest guy. But he was 6'7" "only".

BTW do you think Durant is really taller then 6'9"?
Canson said on 25/Jul/19
@Riccardo 5’7: they upsell Durant’s height to make his accomplishments better being he’s a good shooter and plays like a 2guard. He’s always called 7’ or 7’1”. Durant is still 6’9” range barefoot. Look at him with Draymond Green who Steve Kerr and Alvin Gentry say is 6’5”. Look at him with Boogie Cousins who is 6’9ish barefoot”. Durant is 6’11” in shoes in the morning or maybe a couple hours in. The rest of the NBA goes by shoes. But notice how they made a big deal to say Draymond is 6’5 and Barkley 6’4”, that’s their barefoot heights. They do the same for Durant but it’s his shoe height rounded up or even widely exaggerated

BTW Kevin Durant is probably 6’10” , not 6’9.25”. he’s grown around an inch since he was drafted and is taller than Demarcus Cousins, who measured 6’9.5”. Durant claims 6’10.75” w/o shoes. If true, that’s his height immediately out of bed.

Kareem Abdul Jabbar: 7'1 78" now 7'0.5"

Wilt Chamberlain: 7'0.25"

Shaq: 7'0.25" now 7'0"

Khali: 7'0" now 6'11"

When I met Khali, I would say he was at least 7'0" in shoes. He was wearing very thick Jordan sneakers which definitely gave him a good boost. I would say his 7'1" listings during his early days were measurements in shoes or a morning height, or possibly just a small inflation.

Shaq looks 2" taller than Khali in those pics honestly, but remember Shaq is king at making people look short. He made John Jones look 5'10" and Magic Johnson look 6'3", so in this case, he made Khali look 6'10" when in reality he is taller than that.

The pic is clearly taken from an upward angle, making the taller guy look shorter. The eye/shoulder level difference is way too pronounced and obviously supports what I'm talking about.

This is a similar upward angle of Satnam and Khali that I just posted on this page. Here it is again:

@Sotiris Thanks. I see where you are headed.

In my honest opinion, this isn't just me wanting to make Big Show 6'10" or whatever, but in the past few years, every staredown he has had with another giant, he does look every bit of 6'10" and even a small fraction more at times. Does he wear thick boots? Yes. Do the giants he wrestles also were thick boots. Absolutely. I think Big Show still being 6'10" is possible even in 2019. If I thought he looked 6'9" I would say 6'9". If I thought he was 6'6" I would say 6'6", but I honestly believe he can still easily pull off 6'10".

The comparisons would have to be 100% exactly proportioned the same for them to serve height justice; most of them aren't.

A 1995 Paul White, unhinged neck, straight back and legs, would easily clear 7'0" in a staredown.

A present day Big Show stills look all of 6'10" when standing next to other giants like Oliver Ritchers, Shaq, Big Cass, Braun Strowman, etc. I wouldn't even rule out 6'10.25"-6'10.5" but to be safe, I just go with 6'10". Worse case he's 6'9.75". Definitely not below that. I don't think he is taller than 6'10.5". That's his max IMO. His minimum is 6'9.75".

Maybe at age 50 Big Show will see 6'9", but today he still clears 6'10" easily in staredowns.

Also your Khali and Santam pics are not that great either. You can simply type in to Google their names together and find both men standing straight, with barely an inch between them.

Shaq is still a strong 7 footer. He could even be 7'0.25"-7'0.5". I doubt he has lost much height at all. So with a solid 7'0" Shaq, you get a solid 6'10" Big Show. Simple math. If Shaq was 6'11", then yes, Big Show would be in the 6'9" range, but that isn't the case for either man..

Big Show never looked close to 7'4 in WCW. Kareem looked taller next to Kevin Nash in 94 than Wight did next to Nash in 96-98.

Andre was billed 208/10cm in France in late 60s and 6'10 in the UK during a tour in 1969 so it's unlikely he ever topped 7 foot barefoot

@cmillzz:

I drop over an inch through the course of the day and am far, far, far less built than Big Show (plus half his age.) So when you factor in his immense weight and the stress that places on his long frame, and the fact that he’s been enduring it for 20+ years, it’s no surprise to me that he’s lost that much.
cmillzz said on 8/Jun/19

Richters is clearly taller than Satnam Singh (7'0) in the picture you post, so I think it's safe to say he is at least 7'1".
Or Richters is actually 7'4 because Satnam Singh is wearing lifts by applying your logic, which is to guess A is wearing lifts because B does not look as tall as you wish.

And I don't think Big Show, being well over 450lb most of his career, is fan of tipping toes.

@Johan 185 cm
When they are talking that Big Show is looking up while Richters is looking down, it is because Big Show has a huge forehead and therefore lower eye level. Thought it's a common sense.

Also to note that when you see him next to a 6'11" Khali or a 7'0"-ish shaq, he always looks about an inch under Khali, and two inches under Shaq.

He was 500 or just over in 2006, he was seriously out of shape, he looked like a heart attack in waiting.

Throughout most of his career after than he seemed to be around 430/450, he had little periods of weight loss but fluctuated quite a bit.

Now in 2019, he's around the 380 mark, he's barely wrestling now & spending most of his time in the gym, if could could get down to 350 range that would be ideal given his 6'10 frame.

He also thinks looking back at Wrestlemania 24 he was "fat" because now he has abs.

MelvinJones he certainly wasn't near 600 but 500 in late 2006 is believable for sure.

Scale could be worked, Floyd weighed in at 159 lbs on that scale which would have been his heaviest weight ever in a fight. Around that time Floyd was generally fighting at under 150 lbs.

Heaviest Big Show ever was was in late 2006. It's entirely believable he was legit 500lb then as his weight exploded at the time. I met him in early 2006 and he looked morbidly obese at that time with big puffy eyes and he gained more weight by November/December of that year.

Any chance that Big Show height has increased due to the weight loss? His posture looks better now than say 3 years ago.
Is it possible he’s back up to 6’11”?

@Short and wide, kanes boots were 2inch max, 3 inch would be ridiculous, it'd be like wrestling in high heels, he moved like a robot in his 2 inches nevermind 3 inch
Short and Wide said on 1/Apr/19
@Alex: Big Show already started to lose height when he lost hair.
In 2000 or 2001 he looked 4 inches taller than Kane who was closer to 6'8" wearing 3"+ shoes.
He was wearing 2"+ shoes and thus he was probably very close to 7'1".
He then put on a lot of weight, twice, and had back surgery before he met Shaq the first time.
About 2006 at his heaviest he weighed about 537 lb (but he admitted near 600lb on his FB post).
Look for his 2005~2006 footage on Youtube he looked absolutely humongous. A huge human being overall.
He still lost and put on some weight in the following years but was simply adding girth to his belly.
I believe, however, that he still stands 6'11"+ if he tries to keep his posture right.
Before he met Strowman the second time, he lost massive weight and could stand straight, he looked at least 4" taller than strowman, both wearing similar footwears.
Dan Trojan said on 27/Mar/19

Maybe Big Show is only 6'8", maybe he's still 7 feet tall. Nobody really knows so we just go in the middle and say 6'10" :/
RP said on 24/Mar/19
Everyone related with the NBA & even Kevin Durant himself talk about how he grew a solid one inch after his rookie season in Seattle. And that he’s now 6’10” barefoot & 6’11” in sneakers.

Once again, I 100% prove that Big Show is NOT 6'10" now. Fortunately for BIG Big Show fans, his current listing remains. Big Show is MAX 6'9" now. And no, he was never 7 feet tall barefoot in the afternoon. Yes, we can all agree to disagree, respectfully, but I prefer to side w/ reality.

Melo was likely measured in the afternoon back in 2003.
Canson said on 22/Mar/19
@Vegas: yes Melo is a legit 6’6 and I won’t completely rule out a hair over 6’6” for him. As for Adams I’ve seen other pics of he and Melo where it’s 4”. That I could buy. Maybe Adams at 6’10.25 and Melo 6’6-6’6.25
Vegas' said on 22/Mar/19
Canson he doesn't look that much shorter than Stephen Adams measured 6'10 3/4 barefoot Click Here

Adams has 4.5 inches on Carmelo who you said looks solid 6'6 in person Click Here

Heisenberg89, been posted a million times here since it dropped online. It's outside so you have multiple issues such as possible uneven ground, shoulder mounted camera etc. How many times has this been posted e.g to show how tall Hogan was despite the fact the ground is sloped downwards towards Lloyd Click Here
JT said on 21/Mar/19
You can use the basketball to scale the pics to get a rough idea how Big Show (in 2014) and Kanter would measure up. Click Here I added Durant, who is at least 6’10”. I believe Kanter was measured a little shorter than that.
Canson said on 20/Mar/19
Kanter measuring 6’9.75 was in the early morning. He honestly doesn’t look much over 6’9” barefoot if at all. He’s very similar with Kevin Durant and can appear slightly taller or shorter at times. So Big Show would appear maybe a half inch or inch taller if he’s still near 6’10”.
Heisenberg89 said on 19/Mar/19
Vegas

But you saw, a lot time ago, Big Show with Shaq outside the ring right?
Well there Big Show is at least 2" shorter, shocking eh?
Kanter is, IMHO, not taller than 206cm.
If Show was taller, he was because of his shoes probably.
The guy outside the ring is shorter than you think IMHO.

@Vegas What you posted is absolute garbage -- Big show clearly closer to the camera w/ a laughable, funky angle. That has to be the most ridiculous, pathetic attempt I've ever seen in my life... Stop embarrassing yourself. Wow. Seriously...? Thanks for a good laugh; I needed that.

There is zero chance HHH comes that close to big shows eyeline, remember Show has full head on 5'11 1/2 Dean Cain so HHH is 6 inches taller than Cain....

That's closer to reality from same night Click Here

Heisenberg89, Enes Kanter is about 208cm barefoot yet Big Show was taller next to the same people last year (Strowman and Curt Hawkins)

While I enjoyed that pic w/ Dion Dawkins, it looks like Show now resorts to footwear enhancement to compensate for height loss. How the mighty have fallen.

Ron Reis’ dad was a center on Univ of Cincinnati and was listed as 6’10” back in the early 60s. Reis was listed as 7’1” at Santa Clara so I doubt he’s any taller than that.

Click Here Kowalski is probably around 6’3” here; Studd 6’6”.
