English actor, best known for roles in films like The Football Factory, Doghouse and Severance. On TV he played Mick Carter in Eastenders. I saw him at a Collectormania in 2007, in this pic with me I'm sure he had a little less thickness of sneakers than I had. On Twitter, when somebody said they had a thing for short men that swear like f***, he said "F*** off I'm 6 foot. :-)"

I’m watching Danny’s thriller named Assassin, which also stars the Kemp brothers. I have a considerable amount of his films and I haven’t seen a lousy one to date.
Danny is around the same height as the Kemp boys, possibly a touch less, but it’s hardly noticeable. He drives around on a motorbike, with a completely blackened crash helmet - very suss! However, Danny’s character is not somebody to mess with, but he does have a soft, emotional side, which is most becoming. It’s on the Legend channel, so will probably show again, and I thoroughly recommend it if you like a good, tense action film. Danny’s playing the assassin and he sure knows how to look after himself, even taking on the Kemp brothers. He has a young daughter who has just found out that she’s pregnant, so he makes the lass a good, well-balanced breakfast.
The movie isn’t awash with violence, but there is some, as you’d expect from a cast like this one! Often I feel that a film which concentrates on the plot is better than one wherein there’re shootings and horror galore.
Looking back now, I remember Danny starring in an episode of A Touch of Frost and he wasn’t even fully grown yet, but he played a little scamp nonetheless!
Yuck - Danny’s daughter has been shot and he’s going on a shooting spree. Yes, this film IS violent and very sad. The poor man is at the end of his tether, and who can blame him?He’s gone into the Police station to turn himself in. He looks so sad. From having everything to live for, he’s now past caring.
What does this teach us? It makes it abundantly clear that that crime doesn’t pay.

What were the writers of EastEnders trying to do to their audience over Christmas, farting in our faces with great gusto? Writing Danny Dyer out, or even endangering his character, isn’t exactly my idea of a pleasing Christmas gift.

Because I’d missed the Christmas ones, I had no idea why she was so freaked out.
Well, the Police haven’t found Mick’s body, so I’m hoping that this is only a temporary blip, and that Mick returns safe and well, ready to continue his relationship with his life long love, Linda, and reel at the very thought that he could have ever been taken in by the evil Janine.

I think Dyer is a genuine 6 footer.
He is taller than Richard Blackwood who is listed as 5'11, and was slightly taller than Frank Harper in The Football Factory.
Harper has been listed as 6 foot, and when he was in Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels you could argue he was indeed that height. However, by the time he filmed The Football Factory with Dyer, I think he was just slightly under.

Suggs I think wasn't far off 6ft1 when he was younger. I'd go 6ft0.75 peak and maybe 6ft0.25-0.5 now at 59. Doesn't always stand with good posture though so might look less.

But there was even better news to be had for Danny! It turned out that he was also a direct descendant of Royal Birth, Edward III, who reigned from 1327-1377, and was born in 1312. By now, Danny was REALLY buzzing, and who can blame him?

I have just read headlines on my mobile that Danny might be locked up for a while for the shooting of that sicko. (Re: 'Eastenders' plotline). I won't half miss him! That man has worked his way up to be a film star, from the simple beginnings of starring as a little hoodlum in 'A Touch of Frost' to acting alongside someone as great as Gilliam Anderson in the controversial 'Straightheads'. I'm going to have to have a count-up of how many films of his I have. I think the total will surprise me!

This afternoon I watched 'The Football Factory' for the first time. I didn't see the point in beating the cr@p out of supporters of a different football team; it was like a less friendly, less funny 'Fight Club', buy Danny and his Granddad, played by Dudley Sutton, were characters I found easy to warm to.
The size of the guys who cornered Danny in the Gentlemen's toilets, and gentlemen they were definitely NOT! They made him look quite tiny! I was surprised how well Dudley has maintained his height over the years though. He was at least 5ft10. Another observation I made: Frank Harper doesn't look the full 6ft, and at times, I even felt that Danny edged him out! It was difficult to tell, so they may be neck-and-neck, but if I had to put my money on one being taller, it would be Danny.

@bazza if you look at the ep when dyer and blackwood are running, dyer edges him by a little like he does with scott maslen. And the ep when maslen and hubbard are walking next to eachother to the vic they are the same height. Id say they both 180-181cm and dyer 183+cm

@samuelcharwick - you have got me thinking now! i will check it out when i get the chance, i really don't think Maslan is as tall as Blackwood but there should be some screen time between them where we can see. I still think Dyer and Blackwood are about the same too, 6'0 bracket, but it is debatable..

@Rob - how tall do you think the guy who players Martin Fowler is? his name is James Bye, seeing him act on screen with the guys listed around 6 foot on here i.e - Dyer, Ritchie, Blackwood etc.. he seems to tower over them and the rest of the cast but i was pretty shocked to see him listed at just 6'2 on the web. I would have pegged him 6'3 plus.

Have worked with Danny on a number of occasions. Lovely guy, I am 180cm and he is marginally taller than me. 182cn fits absolutely perfectly. A hair under 6 foot but understandable he would claim it as closer to 6 foot than 5'11.

5'11 1/2 to 6 feet is hard to differentiate. Half an inch is barely noticeable. I'd say he's 6'0 (considering his mild leaning posture).

He looks average-tall in all his films, there are plenty of shots with him stood around other men and he is taller than some and smaller than some. He seems like your typical bloke you would see in the pub drinking. Above height looks bang on to me.

He is leaning in a bit, could be close to 6ft. I'm around this height. 182cm. I can just see the over top of a 5ft8 inch guy's head, when standing straight. You can't honestly tell the difference between a guy this height and a 6ft guy. Though most accurate to say 5ft 11 and 3/4 could be 7/8, but that is a mouthful. He'd get away with a weak 6ft claim like I do.

Its 4 inches tops taller than Rob. I am 6'0-6'0 1/4 and I am at least a bit taller next to 5'8 guys then he looks here with Rob. 5'8 guys come more to around my eye level. 5'11 1/2 would be my guess for this guy.

I've actually seen him once at a train station in. I was 6ft @ the time and when I walked past him we seemed pretty much the same. I think the height given is accurate.
