I already got measurements of 182.5 - 182.9cm in the morning, so if I were measured in a morning exam I would be measured at 5'11.75, it's possible.
Generally 5'11 guys will be 5'11.5-75 when getting out of bed, 5'11 7/8-6'0 are usually measurements of 181 cm guys and 6'0 - 6'0 1/4 guys 5 ' 11.5 (but these measurements are not rules, just an opinion, some people wake up shorter than others but compensate by shrinking less).

So it makes sense to measure 5'11.5-75 barefoot in the morning.

Bush was fairly young when he claimed 5'11" and remained pretty fit throughout his presidency, much less when he entered office so there's no reason to believe he was taller than that. Arnold was around 6'0" from 2006-2008 and consistently taller by about an inch: Click Here Click Here Click Here The Reagan picture is odd, but it's a good bet Reagan stood shorter than he'd measure by that point and you shouldn't read too much into a one-off photo since it could be the angle, we can't see if Bush is wearing something like cowboy boots and we can't see if Reagan is standing lower. The 5'11.5" and 5'11.75" measurements were likely in shoes or the morning.

Standing next to his brother and dad he can look quite diminutive, and he also has a type of circular face and protruding ears that gives the impression of being much tinier than he really is. Many people were under the notion that he was a short dude, and of course standing next to John Kerry didn't help much either. Also his kinda bumbling personality and reputation for flubbing word pronunciations cast him as physically small man in a lot of minds, when of course he wasn't.

He's never given an impression that he was any taller—and if he tried it'll probably be quite obvious. 5'11 or so in shoes maybe, he can 'reach' 6'0" lol, Odd though, his father was 6'2" and his grandfather was 6'4" (you would think genetics would have been somewhat generous? happened in my family too. My grandfather has a build/look to him like Bush Sr, and he was around 6'2" before he died but none of his sons made it over 6'0", and the one who barely did bore a son who is around 6'3" (my cousin) Now, his wife was a tall woman, and I would have thought my father made it to 6'0", but he "topped" out around 5'10 1/2 or so. Jimmy Carter was probably no more than 5'8".

I think by the time Reagan was president he had slipped down to just under 6'. I knew an attorney dealing in entertainment law who swore Reagan was 5'11" and routinely wore custom made shoes that gave him at least an extra half an inch over the usual one inch most men's shoes provide.

And I serously doubt Bill Clinton was ever 6'2". More like 6'1" max.

From what I read George Washington was measured as 6'3.5" after he died and his body was frozen. From what I've read, freezing the body will result in a slight increase in the cadaver's length (by about 1.5 inches).

Official medical records are the most accurate as they measure your height and weight simultaneously, and it is far more accurate than "someone's" estimation or opinion. 'Dubbya' is 5'11.75" or just about 6'0". Barry is 6'1" and probably closer to 6'2". Keep in mind that Bush Jr. lifted weights several days per week and is/was in pretty good shape, especially for a president.

Almost everyone fudges a little in terms of height. I have a friend whose uncle is a big contributor in Missouri and he accompanied hime to a dinner where President Bush spoke. Saoid both he and uncle are almost exactly 5'10",- max. - and next to the President (all in similarly-styled shoes), wasn't a 1/4-inch difference among the three of them - so probably 5'11" claim is just minimal exaggeration - 5'10" or 5'9-3/4" correct.

Bush in my hometown of San Angelo in 1997, he was then Governor of Texas and we were naming a new building at my University after him or someone in the Bush family and he was there for the opening of this building. I am 5' 10.5" maybe 5'11" on a tall day, and he was DEFINITELY shorter than me. I distinctly remember looking downward while exchanging greetings and shaking his hand. Dee that's a good question, because he comes across consistently on TV and in pictures as a 5ft9-5ft10 guy tops! Standing 5ft11 with the 1.5 inch cowboy boots he wears from time to time would put him at 6ft0.5, and at least to me he has never looked that tall! In the most recent footage of Obama and Bush walking around the White House, Obama looked to have a solid 3 inches on him, and I'd peg him at 6ft1 give or take a bit.

5ft10 sounds more accurate for Bush, maybe 5ft9.5! He has a very similar build to Matt Damon who is listed at 5ft10, but many claim is more 5ft8-5ft9!

I met the president before the 2004 election. Shook his hand and stood face to face with him. I'm 5'11" and definitely recall being surprised that he was taller. The doctor's records look accurate. (PS i looked into his eyes and saw a good man) - :)
