Hulk hogan had lost slight height since 1979 to 1989 against tiny lister no holds barred. 1 inch. Tiny lister was believed to of been taller than ft6,5 and then you have got to look at the monster lifts he was wearing himself. You talk about hogans boots. It wouldn,t suprise me if tiny lister had 3 inch moster lifts.

Most of us here on this sight are really out for the truth about celebrities actual heights, and we use late afternoon/early evening as the standard. There really is no evidence that I have seen that supports Hogan ever being anything over Robs listed peak height. Most regular posters on Hogan believe he was closer to 6'5" than 6'6", while some have a decent argument suggesting he was no more than 6'4.5" barefoot. Arguments are based off of personal sightings, video and pictures that usually have other people or objects of a known height for comparison. So you can argue/debate all you want, but no one here is going to take "well Terry's said his Mom once measured him at 6'7" as any kind of proof, when so much more evidence suggests he wasn't. So find some kind of plausible proof for a decent argument and people might take it into consideration for how tall they think Hogan was at his peak.

I don,t understand how this sight gives celebs real height. But it does sound odd with certain celebs. I don,t understand how this sight can be so sure unless it was reveiled by all known celebs. Every sight has different measurements when you look which is my point. I don,t know if you guys are stats guys for real or just fans that put in votes. But my point is how can anyone really be controdicted on their true height in their prime if they give it you and they have been measured at a certain height. It,s like me. I,m ft5,10 for real, but i guess you may as well just say i,m ft5,8 for a fact not ft5,10. When it comes to 1.5 inches. It is rather hard to compare to perfection especially when we are looking at times a distance, not being too close. Or different postures and angles. If we are talking 3_4 inches i do agree. But it,s looking at terry in his prime that stuns me as apposed to 2000. A noticeable difference in height and still wearing lifts anyway. I just can,t see how this sight can be so accurate over someones stating of their prime height. Is it on the harsh side with certain people not always trufthful, i don,t know. Forget what other people will say that have met celebs. But if they haven,t measured that person in their prime then it is really easy to be 1.5 inches off target especially when you are looking at a big guy in his prime.

Daley thompson, marilyn monroe, nat king cole, sugar ray robinson. All sorts of people. Dwayne johnson is noticeably shorter than he was around 2000. I can notice that and it has also been mentioned that he is shrinking. If ever you did watch him against stone cold steve austin in years like 2000, 20001, 2002 on RAW and smackdown back then he was considerably taller and steve austin was ft6,2. You tell me how it is alot of wrestlers do lose height as they get older obviously with age also. Some like terry had untold ops on their backs, necks and all sorts. Terry has a curbed spine through wrestelling and age. He had 2 discs removed from his spine. Are you really going to tell me he lost only 2 inches in height due to his injures over all these years with ops on his neck and back also. He can,t even stand up straight nowadays. When you see terry standing up straight he actually towers johny carson who actually was ft5,11 and terry was wearing shoes not boots in that video click. Carson looked to of come up to terrys chin. If anything their word is more credible being they were in the same sport, were friends with him, and spent considerably much more time around him. If you were ever wondering why terry look so big in that ring in rocky 3. Well just look at his sheer size anyway back then akong with the boots he was wearing and that ring wasn,t small. A descent sized ring which looked small because of a mountain of a guy standing in it. When we look up famous people heights, when it gives you there height it is going by the heights when that person was at the very best in time. Either at that point in time when they are at their best or when they are well over the hill and in retirement. Terry is ft6,2 today, but when ever you do look up his stats it gives you ft6,7/2.01m. That,s going by when his was at his ultimate best. Marilyn monroe was only ft5,5/1.65m i thought she was taller ft5,7. I always believed frank sinatra was a good ft6,0. But i was shocked to of found out he was only ft5,7.5/ft5,8 in his younger years. My point is, some people are taller than we think and some are shorter. I mentioned dwayne johnson. You mentioned nearly ft7,0 being ft6,11 which wasn,t announced. But it could of meant ft6,9/ ft6,10. Well terry prowling around in his corner actually stood ft6,8.5 wearing the 1.25 inches boots you pointed out. So being ft6,8.5 in that ring take away the boots he was wearing gives you his exact height which is what i knew ft6,7. Stallone was no less than ft5,10 bare foot. stallone was ft5,11 in that ring wearing his boots. that is something i know for sure. Now if you take terrys boots off you have to take stallone boots off also. There wasn,t a foot difference in height. I could see that. If you look up terry shaking hands with big bill anderson who was ft6,4 in a photo in the 1980,s there looked to be a good 3/4 inch difference in height in that pic in terrys favour. Look at his best pics not his worst and see for yourself. It,s all well and good to look at the pics you want to look at but in terrys case if there are not so good pics then there are very good ones also. I do agree with you though and i will admit that terry in the mid 90,s 2000 + years terry was no more than ft6,5 bare foot. That was very noticeable yes. But dwayne johnson has lost height also. If you look at dwayne in 2001 for example he was ft6,5 then and is about ft6,3/ft6,3.5 nowadays. But mark calloway was taller in the early 90,s ft6,9 now ft6,6.5/ft6,7 or there abouts. But if you took mark early 90,s and compare terrys height early 80,s mark would of been 1.5/2 inches taller than terry. I think you would agree with that.

@Daniel Reynolds. All I can tell you for certain is that in 1980 Hogan was not 3" taller than my 6'4" Grandfather when he stopped right in front of us. There was really very little difference between them. Hogan had about an inch on my Grandfather and that is it.

That platform was used for a photo shoot only. There is a pic of stallone coming up to hogans chest when he was standing on the platform and stallone looking straight up. You can find this pic with the photo shoot showing the left side of them instead of the right. Obviously when you saw hogan in the actual film itself they didn,t use the platform. I’d guess at least a 1/2” ?? So, it would be realistic to sssume that peak James Arness was 3/4” taller than peak Hulk Hogan? Assuming their cowboy boots are close to equal ?? Johnny’s footwear was likely your standard 1” dress shoes in both photos.

Generally Orton looks weak 6’4” 6’3.5-6’3.75 at times. I also agree Hogan was not 6’6” peak. I’ve only thrown that number out because of Rob listed him that way but he’s a bit overlisted peak I’d say 6’5-6’5.5 not 6’6 but today it’s close to the listing at 6’3”. I wouldn’t argue against his current listing

Vegas made a good point back in August. Hogan claimed something like a 2.5” height loss so maybe he measured something close to 6’5.5 and 6’3 or the former maybe earlier in the day and 6’3” today. Either way, I think Rob has him listed correctly today at around the 6’3” mark but 6’5 range at his peak. I could buy a hair over 6’3 or possibly even a solid 6’3 or a tiny hair under it. I don’t think he would’ve been a solid 6’6 at a low which would essentially mean 6’7” out of bed but I could see something like 6’6 out of bed and 6’5.25 at a low as the sweet spot as it covers why he looked closer to 6’6” at times and why many such as Jessie V (as RP mentioned) said he was 6’5”.

Hogan faced Andre the Giant in Shea Stadium in 1979 so to get a peak height before wear and tear set in one has to go back to 1977. Peak height flat foot was no less than 6’6 and may have been 6’7 in 1977.

While I don’t think he was quite that tall, I do agree with 62B that he was 6’5” range. His encounter with his Grandfather adds up with how Hogan would look with Tiny Lister. Tiny also called Hulk 6’5”. Absolute best case 6’5 and change. If you see pics of Undertaker with Hulk at their peaks, it was around 1.5-2” difference between them. 62B’s encounter with Taker adds up with what Rob lists him give or take. Possible he lost height and was 6’7.25 maybe or that he was that when 62B met him or that he was 6’7” flat all along. @Sotiris. I still think Hogan always came out a little taller than Brody. I could see Hogan at 6'4.5" as an absolute low, but I still think a solid 6'5" would be a better listing. I think Studd wore lifts more often than not and maybe had Hogan by an inch barefoot.

I honestly think Studd was a 6'5" guy who often wore lifts. Definitely not more than 6'6". Hogan looked to be the same height as Bruiser Brody, who Stan Hansen said was 6'4". Brody was listed as 6'4" early on when he played football. I previously posted a pic of Hogan next to Stan out of the ring, no cowboy boots (footwear visible), to compare w/ Brody and Hansen... Hogan and Brody's height looked identical. Interestingly, Brody was billed as 6'8", same as Hogan at 6'7"and 6'8". I genuinely believe Hogan was never more than 6'4.5". And I do believe Jesse Ventura when he said Hogan wore lifts. Hogan almost always wore cowboy boots outside of the ring b/c he had to keep that 6'7" (6'8") kayfabe billed height alive.

As for Taker, the most I could conceivably see is the 6’7.5 where Rob billed him. I see anywhere 6’7-6’7.5 and Hogan could be anywhere 6’5-6’6” peak barefoot. I don’t discount possible 6’6” absolute peak but 62B makes a good point. Also for Andre, he wasn’t any higher than 7’0” peak. 6’11” is debatable. I respect your opinion But you do see here that almost everyone else has Hogan 6’5-6’6” as well and Taker most people believe was 6’7” range peak

I think hogan was 6’4.75-6’5” in his prime from like 1979-1985. From there he slowly shrank to about 6’2.5” by the early 2000’s. He would square off with real 6’2” guys like Goldberg, Lesnar and HHH and look generally the same height as them in the early 2000s.

Shoot peak 6'6'' 300 makes sense to me. His billed weight in AWA was like 320 but no way. That's a work weight. His 302 was realistic until the steroid scandal, and then we're talking about at least a 30 lb loss at the end of the WWF run.

Editor RobHall might be 6ft 3.5 today, I have seen a couple of friends who met him a few years ago and 6ft 3.5-4 is their estimate.

But what you said adds up because Strowman is only at most 1/2” taller meaning if he measured at the same time as Corbin at a Combine he would be similar in height with maybe Brock Osweiler 6’6 7/8 or maybe the full 6’7” at best. @RONSTER. My experience with Hogan was back in 1980. He stopped right in front of us on his way to the ring. He was minimally taller than my 6'4" Grandfather. My best guess is that Hulk had about 1" on my Grandfather. Certainly not 3". And you never know if Hogan had any kind of lift in his boots.

My friend had been up close to Hogan several times and said Hogan was pretty much right in-between my height of just over 6'3" and our other room mate who was 6'6". If peak Hogan was an inch and a half taller than me, that would put him 6'4 3/4 ". I do think 6'5" to 6'5 1/4" are possibilities, but I am starting to back off the idea Hogan was ever 6'5.5" unless it was right out of bed

Most likely my friend saw him when he was wearing more normal footwear and had the expectation of seeing a 6'3"- 6'4" HHH and was probably taken off guard when he saw that he was inches shorter than me.

He was listed similar to how some 6’7” pro basketball players are listed (that are sometimes in reality as low as 6’5 flat barefoot or even 6’4.5 at lows). Hulk could’ve been 6’5-6’5.5 meaning maybe he could get 6’6 in the morning straight out of bed and still get 6’5 1/2 at a physical 2-3 hours out of bed. Meaning 6’5.25 at a low. He would easily be 6’6.5 in a regular shoe at that stage or 6’6.75 with regular boots or Jordan’s at that stage. But I don’t rule out just a solid 6’5” at a low and 6’5.75 out of bed. I think the proof is in the boots he used to wear and that’s how he got the 6’7” listing and claim. From what I recall he was sane as Tiny Lister and Lister said that himself. I think Rob’s listing for him is ok because he’s likely closer to 6’3 than 6’4”. Best case could be the 6’3.25 absolute worst case he could dip a hair under the 6’3” mark like 6’2 7/8 maybe. I guarantee if he stood straight that he’s taller than Joey
@62B: yep and Alan32080 said Hogan was slightly taller than he was. I’m thinking he is possibly slightly taller but Alan went with a height earlier in the day slightly rounded up. He mentioned he’s weak 6’3 at a low meaning Hogan was probably Max 6’3.25 based on the estimation. Only because we go by an afternoon height on this site.
