Correct, I remember him saying that, when he was on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. They were talking about Rodman's wrestling stint in WCW. Jay Leno said that one wrestler made Rodman look like a little baby. That wrestler was of course The Giant (Big Show). Rodman said The Giant was 7'2 and he was about 6'6. I think Rodman is one of the few people who downgrades his own height, as he looks taller to me than 6'6. He had Hogan by about 3 inches and I don't think Hogan was anything below 6'4 at that point.

6'5'' peak Hogan does'nt fall too far out of range considering most people on here(and we all know who WONT) will believe it to be just under 6'6'' or just over 6'5.5'', and its not hard to see given the different pics/vids/angles we've seen over a 30 year period. That being said, anything LESS than 6'5'' peak for Hogan is just ludicrous.

JT, nice pics there with Hogan and the football player. They look about the same height to me. I always thought Hogan was 6'6" peak but I'd be willing to believe 6'5". He's definitely not more than 6'3.5" now, maybe even less.

Angle does appear an inch taller than Benoit anytime they went face to face but I hear Benoit does wear a little something in his boots. With that Angle could be 1.5-2 inches taller than Benoit making Benoit 5'8-5'8.5.

Mean Gene was 5'8 in his prime in my view. In his WCW days he shrunk to 5'7, thus being 2 inches shorter than 5'9 Benoit.

I watched another match between Hogan and The Rock. If the Rock claims his height as 6'4" then Hogan is almost 6'5". Hogan seems to be almost an inch taller than The Rock. Hogan is at least a half inch taller.

Hogan was 6'8 in those big obnoxious cowboy boots that everyone wore back in the 70'& 80's that nobody wears anymore. They had about a 2.5 inch heel,so he was was about 6'5.5 tops barefoot. He's dropped down to about 6'3.75 now, he was maybe 310 back when, and dropped down to about 270. Now I think he is back up to about 280, he's put the feedbag on in retirement.

Hogan to his credit never went the way of the tupay. He could have gotten a big one and added and inch and a half to his height, ahla Ted Danson, Nicholas Cage ext. It always seems he is standing next to someone with a big mop of hair and their he is bald.

Every pic that I have ever seen of the rock and Hogan shows that they are the exact same height, Now I'm sure that Hogan was taller when he was young but the rock is only 6'4 tops. That means one could go as high as about 6'5.5 - 6'5.75 tops for Hogan prime.
Every pic that I have ever seen of the rock and Hogan shows that they are the exact same height, Now I'm sure that Hogan was taller when he was young but the rock is only 6'4 tops. That means one could go as high as about 6'5.5 - 6'5.75 tops for Hogan prime.

I thought Hogan looked 290lbs or so during his match against Andre at WM 3. Even Jesse Venture said he was 294lbs while he was being billed at 303lbs so it seemed more accurate.

I personally find Hogan having lost 3 inches of height absurd. This is very evident from the pics with Mr T and the Mean Gene -compilation which Ola posted.
I'd say Hogan has lost 1,5 inches in total. I think he was 6'5 in his prime. He never had a full head size on Mean Gene, who I believe was 5'8 in his prime and later 5'7. Today I believe Hogan is 6'3.5 since he was very close in height with David Hasselhoff and Conan O'Brien who both are very close to 6'4.

Jason, yea 20 inch arms are huge. A guy I know is 6'3 265-270lbs and has 22 inch arms. He's not a cut man but he's not fat. Just very bulky and massive, but not in bad shape. My goal is to get to 18 inches.

I've asked him about it a million times and he says Hogan was HUGE and his arms were very big and bulky and legit 22-24" around. He was a fairly successful ameture bodybuilder so I value his opinion. I might be wrong but I remember them being bigger than the physically bigger Sid Justice in '91.
And Hogan's arms still look pretty big today, I would suppose that he concentrates on them, but you neevr know. Ron Simmons was not a big gym goer but he was naturally big.

Some people measure their upper arms on a distorted angle (pressed up against their body), which will give a larger tape measurement. Everyone said Mike Mentzer had 22" arms. He stated that they were 18 5/8", at 5'8" and 225 pounds. Anything over 19" is very large. If you say 20", I'll believe you. As for Hogan's, I have NO doubt that they were minimum 21" COLD and 22-23" pumped. He had very little definition/striations in his upper arms in the 80's, but one thing he did have was MASS. He was ALSO at least 6'5" and over 300 pounds. That alone will give a larger measurement.

Imagine how big they were back when he was taking steriods. I'd guess 22 inches. He was never as ripped as bodybuilders like Lou, but his arm were just massive (Click Here) and (Click Here).

If you look at John Cena today, he's probably nor far off of Hogan today. Cena's arms are minimum 18 inches and I'd say more closer or at 19 inches. I remember he wasn't very far off of Lesnar who had 21 inch arms when they faced off.

From 2002 til 2005 I worked out pretty intensively and at my peak my arms were about 16.75". My arms were pretty big, as there were enough guys in the gym who were bigger than me in size, but had smaller arms. Still my arms weren't even close to Hogan's size. Check out Hogan's new black boots on American Gladators(which blend in nicely with the black floor). Oh my God, the FRONT soled area of the boots, the FRONT!! have to be at least 1+ inch. Sky's the limit on how high the back heels are, 2.75 inches would be a good bet, I suppose we will start hearing 6'6 talk about Hogan again because he just might be close to that in those babies!.

I don't know how tall Swenson is, but he's listed on several sites as 6'. I believe in boxing he was listed as 6'4, which might be accurate as he looks to be near Tommy Lister's height, who's wearing the same type of boots as he wore in the late 80's.

He is shorter than Hasselholf in a few pictures but somebody posted photos of both their footwear and hogan had on much smaller shoes I think they are both 6'4 today but Hogan would have been considerably taller in his prime so he has lost significant height for a 54 year old.

I remember a tag team cage match, where Lister was falling all over the place because of his boots and Hogan was still barely shorter than him. That was sort of the point:) Gene's age ranges from 44 to 67 in those pics, so you would expect him to shrink around an inch. Hogan (age 29 to 52 in those pics) has definitely lost height prematurely due to his injuries. However, if Hogan's lost the 3 inches like a few claim here, Gene must have also.

I was wearing basic tennis shoes which probably put my height around 6'2 1/4"

Miko, Hogan claimed a 1 1/4" height loss in 1990. I believe he was a full 6'6" up until 1989. He was taller than 6'5.5" HBJ in every pic of them from the mid-late 1980's.

Also I see that Jesse Ventura is listed in the wrestling hall of fame as 6'2, not the 6'5 that he was at back when. That makes me wonder if Hogan was a little under 6'5 peak and 6'3 tops now.
Very good observation, Hogan's exact peak height is almost impossible to pin down. I think he was about 6'5.5 at his tallest and 6'3.5 as he is listed here currently. I think his cowboy boots are definetly making it hard for us to pin down his exact height.

Hey guys -
I will post two other photos of myself and HBJ that were taken on the same day as the one posted on HBJ's page. If Hogan was indeed HBJ's height back in the day, then I would agree that Hogan was probably around 6'5 1/2". HBJ was wearing tennis shoes as well as me...so the height comparison is very good. I will post those pictures later today.

Hogan's got leather pants on in that pic with Ed Leslie and HBJ (Click Here), so he's likely wearing cowboy boots and thus has around an inch footwear advantage over HBJ. Leslie's farthest from the camera. Hogan with no more than 3 inches on 6'2" max Leslie in wrestling gear from the same year Click Here and probably a bit closer to the camera too.

NOW, fast forward to the pic of Hogan standing next to HBJ as of recent and he is at least 2" shorter than him and the same height as Ed Leslie on Hogan Knows Best.

LV, good example of drawing a line not even touching the top of a guy's (Hogan's) head.:) Mr. T (5'10.5" per Rob) looks only 6 inches shorter than Hogan, who is clearly closer to the camera as others have pointed out.
