The Reason i Believed Taker was that when i asked him how tall he was there was no one around except Paul Brearer and a friend of mine who took the picture
and he also looked that height too me and he could have said 6ft 10 like he was being billed so i thought he was being honest I guess he lied ?

Kid, one day when you grow up, you won't believe everything people tell you at face value. Taker has also stated 6'8" MANY times in the past, as well as in his biographies. He was also BILLED at 6'8" in the WCW. He was not taller than that.

I really do think Andre used to stand on a chair or or something, if you look at the picture with Vince interviewing him, Vince comes up to below his shoulder and Hogan in the ring comes upto or above his forhead.

Hi Mike i never met The Rock or Triple H or Stone Cold but i think Stone Cold is about 6ft because he was shorter than Vince and i think Triple H is 6ft 1 because he was shorter than a 6ft 2 actor on the Drew Carey Show (Oswald) but he can look 6ft 3 in ring gear (lifts) and i believe the Rock is about 6ft 3

Well i asked him how tall he was back in 1993 and he told me 6ft 9 and he did look it but when your that tall its hard to judge but he did not look shorter than 6ft 8 too me

During the Hogan - Vince match....If people can't tell that Vince had at least 3 inches of cushion on the bottom of his shoes, then I don't know what to say, because during an episode of Hogan Knows Best, when Hogan meets with Vince to discuss his future in WWE, Hogan clearly has 3-4 inches on him. ( he's not wearing boots). Furthermore... I met Hogan in New York about 6 months ago at a signing and he was standing ( 6'5...) because I know I'm 6'2, he had 3 inches on me. Thanks

Yes Anon,I`m a huge Wayne Gretzky fan.As far as his height I think he peaked at about 5'11.5",although he seems to have lost a bit of height through-out the years.And I think Mario Lemieux is a solid 6'4",he always seemed a little taller than Eric Lindros who was also listed at 6'4" but was probably rounding up.Rob how about giving Gretzky his own page,he is one of the only hockey players known universally.

No Tuga. Taker was billed at 6'8" at times in WCW, therefore he was NOT over that. Even he has stated that he was 6'8" in articles and interviews over the years (off camera of course).

Hogan was a flat 6'6 way-way back in the 70's when he was discovered. By about age 25 most everybody is as tall as they are ever going to get and Hogan was 25 in 1978. Almost nobody knew about Terry Boulder back then but if you look at some of the pictures of him he had this huge head of hair like a hippy, that made a big difference rather than being bald.

Hogan never stands up straight which is part of the problem. Being near him on several occasions trust me he's quite big. Also consder the fact that surgeries and age are factors. He was orginally billed at 6'8 by fred blassie,vince sr, and jr. He was actually 6'6 and wore 2 inch lifts which were popular inthe 80's which is why he waas so much taller than vince jr in the 80's than he is now. John stud, wore them also to become thhis billed height of 6'10.

At 52, I am now a modest 6'4 3/4" ( 195cm ) but on my Texas license I am listed 6'5", 6'5 1/4" (196cm) was my peak height. Unlike Hogan, I don't lie or exaggerate my height. I'm 6'5 248

If fralic is only 6'5 then hogan was only about 6'3.50 in his prime, Hogan was a good 2.5 inches shorter than studd back then, which seemed right at the time since studd was billed as 6'10-6'11 and hogan at 6'8, also if fralic is only 285 I would not give hogan more than 290-295. Studd was way bigger than hogan.

As far as the Gladiators padding the heights...Not really. here is how I know. The guy named Titan, is Mike O'Hearn. He was very popular among the bodybuilding and fitness modeling world back in the mid 1990's through about 2001. He also did a little competive bodybuilding in the 1990's as well. I've been to many bodybuilding shows over the years. And back in 1996 I personaly witnessed O'Hearn get measured (Barefooted) and weighed wearing nothing but posing trunks. And once again...no shoes, he was barefooted. And he was an even 6'2"... and I believed he weighed either 233 or 238, which was his contest weight, while ripped to the bone. It's plain to see that he is about 15 to 20-lbs heavier right now. And the American Gladiators show has been listing him at 6'3" and 251-lbs. So, with his foot wear... he would be around 6'3" or so. And the 250 to 255-lbs seems very accurate too. P.S. I don't know if this is 100% true or not...but a good friend of mine works in the medical field, and one of his best friends used to be a Nurse with the WWF/WWE. And he used to perform physicals on the athletes. And he said that back in 1983 when Bollea/Hogan resigned with the WWF, he did his physical. And that Hogan/Bollea was 6'4.75" (Barefooted) and 6'6" in his wrestling boots. and he weighed 303-lbs on that day back in December of 1983. So, Terry's peak height should be changed to 6'5". Also, his 24" arms were actually 22" at thier largest.

Vegas and Anonymous, I honestly didn't see any shots of Leila's footwear you could be right, what was surprising me was the 6'4" guy next to Hogan. Hogan looked 2 inches taller it just didn't make sense unless hogan's on a lift kick. He didn't stand next to Justice Smith at all, I wonder if the Gladiators are exaggerated too though.

Actually, upon having watched the interview a few more times, it's obvious that Hogan's upper torso when seated in that chair IS shorter in length than it used to be. When he sat down in the past, he still looked tall in the chair. Now he just looks wide.

I see them at around the same height there. I promise you though, Hogan in 1985 would have REALLY made Conan appear small. One thing though, is that Hogan is buffed up and I believe the 285 pounds he claims to be today and may very well be 6'4"-6'5" in shoes. For 54 years old, he's in fantastic shape, height loss or not.

Mike, Hogan is not the same height today as he once was. 6'3"-6'3.5" today and 6'5"-6'6" peak and yes, Hogan was "more" taller (even though that is far from proper English) than Vince, which is EVIDENT when you look at them in the 1980's and then see their 2003 match together.

At that high a camera angle, the farther away you are in the ring, the taller the top of your head will appear in the pic. Why does the top rope at the far end appear taller than the top rope in the front, genius? If Earthquake is closer to the camera, than Hogan is even shorter than I thought. BTW, Hogan's boots had thicker soles too.

from all of the evidence 6'3".5 seems right to me however i work at the lsu med center(a teaching hospital,no im not a DR.)and a Dr.of ortho said its highly improbable that hogan lost that much height at his age regardless of the surgeries,injuries etc.i just don't know im begaining to question his peak height

Derek, the picture I posted of me and my 6'5 friend in the general height page was a good picture of how 6'0 looks next to 6'5. It does look more with Hogan and Greg but like you said Hogan was 6'6 at most during his peak. Greg is probably more 5'11. My guess was Hogan at 6'5 1/2 and Greg at 5'11 maybe? Hogan isa bit more closer to the camera too.

Alex2- Greg claimed he was 6'0 1/2" and that he had proof. He has never been back to the site since. My guess is that Greg is 5'11" or a bit more because Hogan was not over 6'6" at his peak.

At 6'5 3/4 barefoot he is big enough to be in the 6'7-6'8 range with his cowboy boots on, and yet small enough to to lose a realistic, and normal, couple of inches down to the 6'3 3/4 he is now in his old age. Otherwise it's ridiculus to think that he was like 6'8 in the late 80's and shrunk down to like 6'3 3/4 by 2000. The only way that you could lose that much height that fast and at such a relativly young age is if you have some sort of big time disease like a cancer that is killing you.

( I was 9 !)* and they walked up to each other shook hands and had a couple minute conversation, he couldn't have been anything over 6'6" even though he was billed as 6'8".

It seems to be right, that he is now 6'4 after surgeries. I saw a foto with him and David Hasselhoff and they are at the same height. Hasselhof is 6'4!

Hogan was absolutely huge in his day, he had the perfect build, but I really can't put him at more than about 6'5 7/8 and about 312. At that size he would be about 6'8 in boots and about 320 with all his clothes on. Which is why he could get away with the 6'8 340 listings, as always there are WWF listings and real life listings.

Anonymous, you obviously have not seen the pics with ben davidson. The 6'7-6'8 davidson looms over the 1984 hogan. Hogan was 6'5.75 310 tops peak, 6'4.75 290 midway, and 6'3.75 275 now.

Never in a million years was Hulk 6'6..he was every bit of 6'8 originally. You are right with Edge (maybe just under)...Triple H is 6'4, and more besides.

Vegas, yes my head is small for my proportions, I would say, 9.5" as I measured just now. Smaller than Hogan's most likely. I have long limbs as well... people will maybe think I play basketball, sometimes, so I guess you could describe me in that dimension.

Compared with Hogan and mean Gene, I'd say he is a solid 6'4", maybe a tad over, and 6'5" being the highest I would ever likely estimate. He looks very tall in the picture with Greg, 6'6" - 6'6.5", but angles can really distort things by huge amounts such as even 4-5".
