Oh, yes! What a superb opportunity we had this evening to home in on Katy's height, for she guested in an episode of 'Birds of a Feather'. She played a gym teacher, standing in gym skirt and trainers, long hair plaited down one side. As I had to go out to rescue a moth from my preying cats, I only saw her standing up fully on the +1 Channel, having missed a fair old chunk first time round, but it was well worth giving it another whirl because when I did see it again, she DID stand up, and my immediate summarization... 'definitely 5ft2 tops!'

That's the second time I have seen Katy starring in something other than 'Coronation Street' extremely recently, the other being in Jimmy McGovern's award-winning and addictive series 'The Street', wherein she looked totally diminutive next to the 6ft3 David Thewlis!

I go for 5ft2 again tonight.

@ Gladstone Screwer - You can actually see her nice 🍐 in the episode of 'The Street' that I mentioned and yes, they are very pleasing to the πŸ‘οΈ!

I noticed Katy, bare-breasted and in close proximity of David Thewlis, in an episode of 'The Street'! (Series 2, episode 1)

Next to his 6ft3, and when they were actually standing, she looked very small indeed!

I go for 5ft2.

@ Nik - I somehow get the impression that Julie would sniff out that Phelan is a wrong 'un as soon as she looks at him! She hasn't met him yet, or I would remember! That goes to show how long she's been out of the soap for. I don't think much of her taste in men either, but that's because of completely different reasons. That headmaster she went out with isn't exactly equal to her in the looks department, with his overweight frame! But at least he is a decent, sound human being!
So you like the expression 'je ne sais quoi'! I like using bits of French in my writings sometimes, and I can't be the only one, because that is how they slowly but surely crept into English usage, or simply become acceptable to use and widely understood! The expression I used fits in nicely when you are stuck for words, and means, quite simply, 'I don't know what'! Loads upon loads of English words come from French, which is not surprising as our own Royal Family originated there, and for the first few centuries, that was the accepted language amongst the Royals and decision-makers of this country and that was the language spoken in Parliament (another French word), when it was first formed.
What this has to do with English soaps is negligable, so I will draw this comment to a close by saying "Julie! Your sister needs your help!"
That's English enough for anyone to understand!

Bye for now! πŸ˜‰

@ Sandy Cowell - Hey!

Well, there were 7 postings on this page yesterday so now I will kick off by sending the first one today, however at 13:39 pm it is a trifle later than my first comment yesterday, which was at about 6:50 am! I also like the phrase "je ne said quoi"!
I have now changed my view on Sue Cleaver's height! No longer do I claim that she is a flat 5'9", I have now been won round by the idea that she is about 5'9.75", which is what Rob has her down as on her page, although I could see her being 5'9.5", but no lower. I will explain this change of opinion on Sue's page! Knowing Sue's height will be useful because we will then be able to work out how tall Katy is when we see her in the company of her older sis! Like you said, that would be sure to happen if Phelan gets rumbled, but we may or may not see the fireworks between Julie and Phelan, that depends on whether the police would get there first to lock him up. I will tell you though, Julie would eat him up and spit him out and that sure would be good to see! She comes across as being very protective towards her sister and Phelan would hate Julie with a passion because she wouldn't take it lying down!

Cheers!

@ Nik - Yup, it won't be her favourite day when she finds out what her brother-in-law is all about! She isn't in the show as much as she once was, but I am can see that changing when her sister needs help!

@ Gladstone Screwer - Of course she is pretty, without having that little je ne sais quoi that I look for!
Construe that however naughtily you wish to!

I have to admit that I thought she was 5'3"! So I too am surprised with the 5'2" quote and her long dress makes it difficult to judge her height!
I don't know what she will do when she finds out what Phelan is like, a psycho killer is exactly what he is.

@ Gladstone Screwer

Yes, she is very pretty! 🌽

Blimey! I would have thought Katy to be a bit taller than 5ft2!
I wonder what she'll do when she finds out that her sister is married to the local psycho killer? 😨

I will opt for 5ft2.25 for Katy!
