I saw her playing in an exhibition match at Eastbourne about five years ago. She was warming up against McEnroe's old partner, Peter Fleming, and he's a genuine 6ft5, believe me! They were hamming it up something rotten - she saying to him 'why do you have to be so tall?' and him replying 'why do you have to be so good?' You don't get their kind of charisma in the game anymore. Anyhow, she was shorter than I expected. I would put her at 5ft6.
She was virtually the same height as Ant McPartlin and had about 2 inches on Dec. This is accurate.

Because in sports people find it almost impossible to lie about their height, we can be sure of Martina's height by checking on official records available to everyone. With showbiz people is different. Too tall women lie because they wan't too work with short male actors (and there're lots of them in Hollywood). In the other hand, very short celebrities have HUGE inferiority complexes (and egos) so they lie or use lifts and all sort of tricks.
