None of us have the body we want but our relationship with it changes as we get older. When we're young we're so over-sensitive about every little imperfection, we have a kind of body dysmorphia.

But then, gradually, we stop caring so much, and thank God we do, because, at the same time, our bodies are sliding southwards. I'm 5ft 5in and my weight hovers around eight and a half stone, which is about right, but I have to watch it.

It’s the Inspector Morse episode ‘The Ghost in the Machine’ again, and it was most amusing when Patricia’s Lady Hanbury meets a publican woman at the railway station. She looks through her nose at the publican’s grammar and choice of verbiage. 😓🤧😕 While in the car home, the publican says “I wish I’d had someone to teach me French when I was Georgie’s age.” Lady Hanbury has a French au pair for her little foster daughter, by the way.

Then the Lady adds, as regards the French, “Would you have used it?”

She’s doubtless thinking, “You should learn to speak English first!”

Patricia has always played posh women. It suits her!

I’m going with the 5ft5. I want to compare her to Blackadder actress, Patsy Byrne, who played Nursie in Blackadder the Second. Patsy plays the Hanbury nanny come housekeeper in this Morse episode.

As regards the ‘stolen’ pictures of naked females, even either Morse or Lewis, probably Lewis, says that you can certainly see what they are. 😳 “All too clearly, I’m afraid!” retorts Lady Hanbury! It is for that reason that she’s staged the burglary! 🤣🤣 I can’t imagine Patricia looks offensive in the nude for a single moment, as she’s slim and shapely, so why the jealousy?

Then there’s the trifling impending matter of the husband’s brutal murder, which Morse is about to discover….

'The Ghost In The Machine' is on, which is the 'Inspector Morse' episode Patricia Hodge stars in, trying to mess the police about because she's aristocracy and expects to get away with the murder of her husband, though Morse sees right through her, even catching her out when she pretends to have been to a concert while the murder was taking place.

She looks at least 3 and-a-half inches taller than Patsy Byrne, who plays the 'Nursie' to her child as well as the one she played in 'Blackadder' - to Elizabeth I! Patsy could have been 5ft2.5 peak height. I can't swallow 5ft3 anymore.

This proves that Patricia is a convincing 5ft5. 😄🌹

I first became fond of Patricia Hodge OBE, in the early part of 1983, when she starred as Lady Antonia Fraser's crime solving sleuth, Jemima Shore, in 'Jemima Shore Investigates'. She'll have been 36 then and still looked girlish, but very elegant. She was so elegant that she went on to star as Lady Hanbury in the Inspector Morse episode 'Ghost In The Machine', thinking she could get away with murder because of her social standing - and because she didn't like her husband paintings of naked women so she staged the theft of them!

So pleased to see she has a page now. I thought Patricia could be a little less than 5ft5, but 5ft5 it'll be. It's her birthday in three days time.

🎂💐📺😄👌

In the late 70's she also had herself 5ft 5 in the Spotlight directory. I've no doubt she was at least that range
