I've seen a clip of a charity event where He is on the stage with billionaire Carlos Slim. I've seen accurately His dress shoes and there are 100% custom made elevator shoes, and I know something about elevator shoes.......š. Thought that He wasn't wearing them anymore But He still use them. I think He get 2 inch from those dress shoes. Maybe He is 5'8"

As a teen I always thought he was 5'10 in the Rocky movies but having a good look at him now 5'9 is probably the most accurate. At least then anyway. 5'8.5 would be my lowest guess.

@Danimal...I do agree with your take on it, Stallone minus any dodgy footwear is around the 5'8/9" range, he was very slightly taller than Burt Young when wearing flat trainers and Young was pushing 5'8" though no more which would make Stallone 5'8.5" ish...This again reads true in Copland where we see Stallone, barefoot, literally towered by Ray Liotta by some 3/4 inches and Liotta is slightly above average at just 6' so Stallone's official height of 5'10" simply does not read true. Very hard to pin down, i'd gamble and suggest 5'8.5" without shoes...

Throughout the 1980s, Sly's height was listed at 5'9.5" in various newspapers and TV guides. He was definitely under 5'10", and it took the heels from his Rambo boots to make him look close to 6 feet. His body was very well proportioned for a man of his modest height.

Stallone's height is literally all over the place and is so difficult to judge, he's definitely a lift wearer no question and could be as short as 5'8" flat, Telly Savalas had a good 2 inches on him in Kojak and Savalas wasn't overly tall at 5'11" and Ray Liotta towered him by some 3 inches in Copland and Liotta is just 6' so i'd say minus any dodgy footwear, could be as low as a weak 5'8", barefoot

I think it's easy for many people to confuse inches to feet and inches. I've known guys who were measured at 70" and they assumed that was 6 foot even. Or 72" inches was 6 foot 2. Clearly not the case.
I see little proof to suggest that Sly is under 5'8". I know these guys tend to shrink. But not that much. Sly takes better care of his body than many of those other's who are shrinking at a fast rate.
Case and point I would give him 5'8 1/2" just as this page says.

If he was 5'9" he wouldn't be called 5'7" or that range by anyone. An error of 2 inches in height cannot by anyone. I would say he was 5'8" max in his youth. Now maybe 5'7.75 or thereabouts.

I dont see a 4inch difference in here. More like 2.5 inch 2.3 inch range difference. Saying 4inch is blatantly provocation ! If we look at their prime difference yes there was a clear 4inch difference . But now ıts more like a 2.5 inch difference between them. The reason of this that tall people like Arnold shrink way more than shorter people. My guess for their current height ::

5'9 prime. 5'8 today. He held his prime up until his early 60's IMO. Most of his height loss has come in the last 5 years.
Arnold was around 6'1 prime. 5'11 range today.

Virgo Mortensen is shorter than 5'8" I saw Gi Gi Rice in front of him at Columbus Ohio Security line for TSA. I thought Gi Gi was with him but she was actually going to her grandfather's funeral. Her dad was my boss and his son inlaw is Jefferson from Married with Children second neighbor husband. Vigo was wearing my climber shoes or some type of really flat tennis shoe. I'm just shy of 5'9" after injuring my back went from 5'10". He was much shorter than me even factoring my shoes. He was close to 3" shorter or more with shoes on both of us and def not taller than Gi Gi. I thought the guy looked like a short Viggo until I saw his ticket.

I'm no longer 5'8" due to my age, but in 1983 I was exactly his height. Then in 2009 he was at least 2 inches taller than I am. Looking at his shoes I estimated a 2.5" lift. If I had to bet my life on it, I would bet he's now 5'61/2" tall. Not that I find heights that important, but my torso is way bigger than his, my legs are way shorter than his. Sitting side by side, you would think he's 5'4" next to me. Either way, camera angles are deceiving, you should ignore those, but don't ignore the fact that the tallest I've been was 5'8" and sly was never taller than me. Today, in 2016, he is no more than 5'7" ( 67" ) barefoot, 66" is tops.

I don't need to see him in person to know he was never 5'11. His ex Wife is around 6 foot and was easily 2.5 inches taller than him. Arnie always had legit 4 inches on him back then so unless he was 6'3 at least ( pause for laughter) we have again a problem. He was shorter than 5'11 Viggo Mortensen in Dayllight as well.

I don't need to see him in person to know he was never 5'11. His ex Wife is around 6 foot and was easily 2.5 inches taller than him. Arnie always had legit 4 inches on him back then so unless he was 6'3 at least ( pause for laughter) we have again a problem. He was shorter than 5'11 Viggo Mortensen in Dayllight as well.
You say you have issues with your height, well i say face those demons. Grab an aerosol and measure yourself against a wall and be honest with yourself. It was on a boardwalk by a beach. I looked down and saw Sly's bare-skinned heel with absolutely zero extra boost. He may as well have been barefoot. I took careful observation, because at 5'8" I've always had a height complex. My brother measures just over 5'10", and Stallone, was clearly taller than him - granted not by much, but enough to make him a weak, but legit 5'11". In fact, had a picture been taken, the difference between Stallone and my brother would've appeared greater, due to Sly's hair advantage. I could tell that my brother was standing as tall as possible to try and match Stallone, but he couldn't quite do it. No matter what stance or position the two of them took, Sly always had a higher eye and shoulder level. Stallone was no doubt the taller man, and my brother is a legit 5'10 plus - or at least he was in 1979! Editor Rob at times he certainly looked over 5ft 9, but I think most of that was down to footwear. I think Stallone's bone health is probably a lot better than other guys his age range, so although he did a lot of action movies, it's possible he only lost a little with normal wear & tear.

When i see my friends with them on, they loose 1 Inch on me automatically. You have the feeling that they look small. But they aren't. They just lost 1 inch on you because you have normal shoes and thay have Boxing shoes which is like being barefoot.

Telly Savalas height is 5ft 10.75in. Stallone appeared with him in an episode of Kojak. There were eye level shots of them standing, talking together. Savalas was much taller. At least 3 inches taller than Stallone. No way was Stallone 5ft 9in back in the 1970's when the episode was shot.

My dad's peak was 5'9.5 and he is the same age as Stallone. Today (he shrank to about 5'8.5 - 5'9) that sometimes seems to be shorter than average...lots of taller people around these days. But when we look at pictures from the 70's he seemed very average maybe a bit above. So those views of heights changed with time I believe..

5'9 was always the average, with 5'10 even being closer to the average for US males. Stallone is not short by today or his gen, but he definitely would never be considered above average to any great degree.
