Editor RobWill has held onto his 6ft 1.5 for a fairly long while, but I can still see how a proportion of people have him at 6ft 1-1.25, because at times he's looked that. His posture though is a bit up and down.

People don’t realize that Isiah Thomas wasn’t 6’1” barefoot. An undersized point guard is not going to be listed barefoot. That’s a shoe height for him. Joe Dumars was 6’1” range barefoot and was taller than Zeke and 6’6 and change Dennis Rodman had Zeke by close to 7”. Zeke was 5’11.5 barefoot max

@Brett That photo of Will that you linked is fairly laughable actually. Will Smith is walking in that photo, so he’s obviously not standing at his fullest. Will Smith does look shorter than Morgan Freeman, but it’s not by much (and Freeman was likely a solid 6’2” at that point), and he looks 3-4 CM taller than Tom Hanks who is about as solid of a six footer as you’ll find.

Very tall guys (>6'3) lose more height and earlier than short guys. Editor Rob we get genes from both parents, there is a mix, sometimes you could end up with more genes that tend towards short than tall, especially since he has a 5ft Mother.

Maybe add a 187cm peak for him, he's almost 50 years old and there are quite a few younger celebs on this site who got a 'current/peak' height. I still don't see him as a convincing 187 cm. The current average user guess is probably spot on for him at 186cm.

I've just watched Will on the Ellen DeGeneres show and as he was sitting down, and I missed him strolling on, I didn't think I'd be any the wiser about his height than before.
He was talking about his new film which has a star-studded cast, if ever there was one! Then a photo of the film's actors was shown to us and yes, he was the tallest, so I will go for 6ft2 for him. I knew he was tall, but I have only seen his films fleetingly and don't own any.
I did enjoy his conversation with Ellen about a tresspassing lion! The animal was photographed and Will said "that's just feet away from my bedroom!" Everybody laughed!
Then he added that in order to ward the wild beasties away from his land, he was recommended using lion urine, and sprinkling it round his boundaries to make the lions think that there are other lions living there!
What was really funny was, when mentioning the extortionately high price of $39.99 per bottle, he explained that he can understand why it's so pricey! "Someone has to get it first! I wonder how they do that!"

@James yes that was my initial estimate. Just like you initially had Kobe Bryant as 196 cm, and now say he may be as low as 194.5. I said below (based on my Martin Lawrence estimate of 5'7) that Will looks 5-6" taller. If you look at the two of them Martin comes to his mid nose. That's putting Will between 6'-6'1. If you watched fresh prince he was significantly shorter than James Avery who was 6'4.5 (194.3 thats put a Will 185-186).
