How tall is Wladimir Klitschko

Wladimir Klitschko's Height

6ft 5 ¼ (196.2 cm)

Ukrainian Heavyweight Boxer. On a few occasions (BBC/Conan O'Brien) he has said he is only "Six Five". Fellow boxer Tyson Fury commented on a Stallone-esque trick that Wladimir may be using: "He had platforms in his boots too. If you look at the weigh in he was the same size as me but he's 6'5 and I'm 6'9." Another Boxer - David Allen - also chimed in on Wlad's 'Little Helpers', saying "He got his lifts in again, wlad is no taller than 6ft 4 bare foot. He isn't much taller than me honestly I couldn't believe it when I was stood next to him. Barefoot 6ft 2 and half of I'm. Being honest he was barefoot I had trainers in we was the same height so he is 6ft 4". In 2018, Wladimir also claimed "I’m 6’6, 1,98".

Thanks for responding Rob. Yes on average before this lifts stuff came into play I had seen Wlad considered as anywhere from 6 foot 5 to 6 foot 7.

@Editor Rob: Christian doesn’t lose anymore than I lose and he’s an inch taller (at least)
Canson said on 30/Jun/21
@Editor Rob: not many 6’5 range guys lose the full inch but he may be one of them. He could be 6’6.25 out of bed 6’5.25 in the afternoon and evening or 1/4” less. He may get to 6’5 flat. He has a long torso like Michael Phelps
Editor Rob
there is a greater chance with longer spine to lose a bit more than average, but some may only lose 0.75
Reece said on 30/Jun/21
Rob before it came out that Wlad wears lifts to the occasion during the Fury bulid up how tall did you think Wlad was?
Editor Rob
on some occasions at events he could pass for 6ft 6
ChaosControl 6'2.50 said on 27/Jun/21
What’s the highest possible, 196.5? Seems like there’s a lot of heavyweight boxers in the strong 6’5 range
Editor Rob
6ft 5.5 would probably be a figure many would say is arguable, that's about as much as I'd go
Canson said on 13/Jun/21
@Hyper: yea and Conan had Anthony Joshua on and when he asked him how tall he was he asked Joshua if he was Klitscko’s height. They’re similar but I’d give the edge to Joshua. Also adds to the perception that he’s much taller when Conan claims 6’4-6’4.5 when he’s 6’3.5”. Klitscko does look at least 1.5” if not 2” taller than Conan
Hyper said on 2/Jun/21

In some ways, I can understand Conan’s Point of View. I think Wladimir’s proportions make him more intimidating than he is, stature wise. It also adds to the illusion of him being taller than he actually is. Truthfully, he looks more intimidating than someone like Tom Hopper, proportion-wise.

He mildly admitted Liam Neeson and Alexander Skarsgard are taller than him. However, he was dead-serious for sure about Wladimir being taller.
Canson said on 30/May/21
@Hyper and Rob: I disagree. Conan always insists people are taller than they actually are. I think the real issue is with Conan believing he is taller than he actually is. He is a weak 6’4 guy at best (6’3.5) afternoon height
Hyper said on 7/May/21

What did you think of Conan’s reaction to Wladimir being taller? The moment of Wlad joking ‘I’m much shorter than you!’ And Conan blatantly replied ‘No, you’re not! You’re much bigger than me!’

Do you think Conan was also intimidated by Klitschko’s physique, which helps him look taller at times?
Editor Rob
I think the idea of some people seeming bigger/taller due to their status in society is something to consider.
Hyper said on 1/May/21
I remember when Conan thought Wlad was 6'6"-6'7", Wlad laughed and joked he was shorter, to which Conan blatantly replied 'No you're not! You're much bigger than me!'

Sounds like he was intimidated by his presence. Conan had a mild reaction to Liam Neeson being taller. I don't think he was intimidated by Kobe Bryant's stature but with Wladimir, Conan was really at a loss for words.
OriginalAnon said on 26/Apr/21
In the ring, Fury always looked at least 2 inches taller than Klitschko at a minimum. He looked like a much taller man so he must have been at least 2 inches taller. I think Rob has it pretty much right with Fury at 6'7.5" and Klitschko at 6'5.25". I still think Wladimir is at most this height and could be a flat 6'5'' and Fury 6'7.25". Wladimir was a control freak and egomaniac in so many ways, totally opposite of his brother, and the strategic wearing of lifts is only a small part of the intimidation factor he used to try to impose. I think Vitali could be only quarter of an inch under Fury.

@Editor Rob How come Wlad pulls off looking taller than Fury, or at least match up his height in their stare down? Click Here

Here is a full body shot Click Here, both wear trainers. I mean Wlad can't wedge more than 1" into his shoe.

maybe the photographer helps him a bit there, but yeah we all remember how close they looked in that face-off. I doubt he's got anything more than a 1 inch lift in his sneakers

@recapa I wouldn’t go under this listing for Klitschko. He looks taller than Charles Barkley and Joe Manganiello, even without lifts.

But Anthony Joshua beats out Klitschko and Burnham looks comparable to Joshua.
recapa said on 29/Mar/21
about him and burnham i have bunrham taller :195.5-196cm for wlad and 196.5-197cm for bo.
Hyper said on 13/Mar/21
@Vincent Caleb and Rampage

My basis for that was when I saw Bo Burnham with Greg Davies, the former (with posture worst than Idris Elba and less footwear in the video) looked very comparable to Anthony Joshua with Greg Davies.

And Joshua is clearly taller than Klitschko. Plus, Rob once mentioned AJ looked taller than Rick Fox, in person, maybe because of higher eye level and more footwear.

It would be close but Bo seems like he would edge out Klitschko.
Canson said on 12/Mar/21
@Rampage Hyper and Vincent:

I would say Bo too but it is probably close. Wlad’s listing looks very good but I don’t rule out 6’5 or 6’5 1/8 mainly because he has a long spine and because he did look shorter than Joshua so that rules out anything over 6’5.25”. But I also don’t see Bo over 6’5.5 or below maybe 6’5 3/8 Christian’s size. So he would get the edge but just not sure how much
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 9/Mar/21
Bo I think would measure taller than this guy
Vincent Caleb said on 7/Mar/21
I would also say Bo Burnham. Wladimir wears lifts a lot, so I would put him at around 6’5.25”-6’5.5”. Bo I’d say is 6’5.5” range Minimum. Only under that maybe on extreme lows.
recapa said on 1/Mar/21
might be there around 4 cm between the brothers: 200-200.5cm for vitali and 196-196.5 for wladimir.

Rob, based on what you’ve seen between Bo Burnham, Greg Davies, and Anthony Joshua, do you think Bo would beat out Klitschko in a stadiometer showdown?

6’6” max for Tyson is ridiculous. Some people just love to look at terrible photos for evidence.

Your argument is terrible...

How is his argument terrible? You’ve provided nothing but biased pics to make Fury 6’6 since the end of 2019. Fury at 6’6 would make Wilder 6’4.5/6’5 range which he’s clearly not. That would make him Vincent’s height when he is clearly taller

I would have said a bit over 6'5 looking at the photos with him and AJ but that Dave Allen story, lol. I've seen AJ quite a few times because he lives in my area. Aj is a giant who is definitely not anything under 6'5. I'd say AJ is 6'5 1/2.

195cm - 196.5cm for Wladimir Klitschko. Vitali 200/201cm

Pierre is definitely trolling. He even refuses to put the feet and inches in the right place, which is quite ironic for a regular poster on a height website. Fury is definitely 6'7'' minimum, I think the Rob listing is probably right. I used to think he was 6'8'' but that's definitely too high. That was confirmed when he stood next to Ronald McIntosh post Pianeta bout.

@JD1996: yea I saw a diff post where you said you were 200 now. I didn’t realize you had grown. My bad! So you’re practically a textbook 6’7 since you’re inside 3/4”. I would say legit but dipping under a bit.

I would go with for my estimates:

Wlad: 6’5.25 (as listed)
Melo: close enough 6’6.25 as listed (may be similar to you where he goes under by 1/8” or be solid
Wilder looks around Melo’s height. I’d say the same or shorter (solid 6’6). 6’6.25 would be a nice start for him imho
Fury based on that looks somewhere around what we have him. Near Rob’s listing. I could say easy 6’8 out of bed or perhaps a fraction over 6’8.25 range or up to .5 and overall 6’7-6’8 range on average. 6’7.25 is possible for his afternoon or the full 1/2”. I can see at times how he can look 3cm taller than Wilder. That may solve the problem there keeping Fury at 6’7.5 and reducing Wilder to 6’6.25”
JD1996 said on 13/Oct/20
@canson I’m much closer to 6’7” than 6’6” now tbh as I measure 6’6 3/4-7/8 range now at my low, 1-2 years ago I was more like 6’6” and even then I was more 6’6” and a bit of change, I Surpassed 6’6.5” at a low around a year ago now. I bumped into someone 6’6” the other day which is rare and noticed I was a little taller and was looking at their eyebrow level. Agree with you on wilder and Melos height though. Wlad could be around 196.5 cm wouldn’t go less than 196 or higher than 197 for him he looks a strong 6’5”.
Canson said on 11/Oct/20
@Hyper: yea I think Rob’s listing is on point for Wlad. If he dips under it is maybe 6’5 1/8”. This at worst is a lunchtime measurement for him
Hyper said on 9/Oct/20

True. At the same time, I wouldn't go under 196 cm. However, he tends to wear lifts. Someone like Bo Burnham gives a taller impression than Klitschko does.

Canson said on 8/Oct/20
@JD1996: that’s what I’m thinking. If anything they would be too close to call. I remember you saying you were 6’6”. You three would be very close in height if you stood next to each other. It may be hard to distinguish without back to back and a good eye
JD1996 said on 25/Sep/20

Why have you got this guy so low? In the boxing ring you can't wear lifts and boxing shoes have almost no heal. When he is standing straight(his style is slightly crouching) he is always taller that the other billed 6'5 boxers and was about the exact same height as joshua.
Editor Rob
Wlad himself has claimed 6ft 5 before, now it maybe be rounding down as many would give him 6ft 5.5 - that's about as high as I'd go for him.

Not sure what the pension part had to do with anything. Wlad certainly wore lifts vs Fury or some kind of booster. If we wears them daily is another thing.

Wladimir didnt look smaller than TNT if anything he edged him out....

He has looked near 6'6", without lifts. He looked taller than Usain Bolt and Charles Barkley, with Lennox Lewis, and he was wearing regular van sneakers.

I think the lifts, had to do with intimidating the fighter, rather than trying to be taller, just for insecurity. Outside of the ring, he did once have converse sneakers or just shoes or sneakers. Definitely not lifts.

agreed. He even admitted that he’s 6’6 out of bed 6’5 in the evening

Reece, Wladimir's 'reign' after he was stopped by Puritty, Sanders and Brewster were famously against men who are either much smaller than him in stature, or who were about to be collecting their pension. Some of them like Pianeta are overstated in their listings. There are numerous accounts going way back of Wladimir Klitschko wearing lifts to press conferences and weigh ins and when he comes in to the ring he looks shorter - see the Tony Thompson bouts.

G-Mac, if Wladimir was 2 inches taller than you I am sorry to say that you are not 6'4''.

On every page, it's right there at the bottom - listings are height estimates.

I can't remember many visitors ever saying they measured a celebrity accurately, so everybody's guess is an opinion.

Sometimes those opinions change of course.
Canson said on 25/Jun/20
@Reece: at times AJ looks taller then at times it can go the other way or neutral. More often than not AJ is taller when both are barefoot with good and equal camera angle. My guess is that Rob has them listed close to accurately going off lows. Maybe if they measured early morning AJ may get 6’6.25 and Wlad 6’5.5.-75. But Rob mentions with Joshua that he looked max 6’6” in person and he had a footwear advantage on Rob. So that makes sense being a weak 6’6 with the proximity to Wlad. But Wlad has said he’s 6’6 out of bed and 6’5 at night. It’s similar to a friend of mine who is 6’5.25” in the evening and measured 6’6 out of bed once. I once measured him around 6’5 3/8 I think but not sure under what conditions. He said years back before I came on the site that he was measured at 6’5 1/2” before or near 6’5 1/2” and he has always claimed 6’5”. Turned out that it was just a measurement taking place in the morning and his normal low the last two times has been 6’5.25” in the afternoon and evening
Reece said on 23/Jun/20

Kiltschko vs AJ is debate worthy. Not really 100% certain on AJ being taller on that account. Rob lists them well most times.
Canson said on 20/Jun/20
@Reece: that’s a reasonable assessment. I lose around 3/4” with normal activity and, based on what Rob lists Klitschko, he’s an inch taller than me. He appears to have a slightly longer torso. The 6’5.25” seems like a pretty decent estimate next to Anthony Joshua
Reece said on 19/Jun/20

The David Allen comment about Wlad being 6'4'' sounds believable. Wlad is I think a definite life wearer. The most glaring example is when he looked as tall or slightly taller than Tyson Fury at the weight in of their fight. Fury is 6'7'' minimum not sure he is 6'9'' as he claims. Tyson said its all mind games with Wlad, trying to get an advantage.

The only issue I have is that Wlad looked tall in the ring, I can't see him wearing lifts during a fight as could effect balance. Yet Wlad usually looked taller than 6'4'' in comparison with his opponents. Looked more than 2 inches taller than David Haye for example.
Reece said on 11/Jun/20
Used to think Wlad was so much bigger than everybody. Made David Haye look so small. He looks bigger than 6 foot 5 next to everybody nearly but cannot see why he would lie about his height he possibly rounded down from 6 foot 5 1/2 though.

He is taller than Joshua, everytime they've met Klitschko edges him out by a lot and he is as tall as his brother Vitali who is listed as 200cm (6 foot 6) and he always has his head hanging down to make himself look shorter he has a long neck and when he stands upright he dwarfs Joshua.
Canson said on 5/Dec/19
@Dream; could also be that Bo is lankier and thinner than Wlad
Dream said on 5/Dec/19
I'm beginning to think Bo could be a fraction taller than Wladimir, based on how Wladimir shrinks more, and the evidence, that Wladimir Klitschko wears lifts, as some people don't want to admit.

On the other hand, Bo doesn't usually wear lifts and he still gives an extremely tall impression.

How tall would you estimate this guy who's posing with Wlad? Near 6'3?
Editor Rob
If he has a little worse posture and his head is a bit further away I could still see near 6ft 3 as a possibility for him.
Dream said on 19/Nov/19

Honestly, it would be difficult to spot a difference between them.

1/8 of an inch would also be what they measure from each other.

It's possible. it would be a tough showdown. However, I think Owen might be a fraction taller than Ralf, a bit, when push comes to shove.

@Dream: I think Moeller would be closer with Owen Benjamin. 6’5.5 vs 6’5.75 perhaps peak heights
Dream said on 13/Nov/19

for sure.

With Ralf Moeller, Wladimir Klitschko looks taller than Joe Manganiello. With Lennox Lewis, Wlad is also definitely taller than Charles Barkley.

Wait! You met Wladimir in person already?! Was he at least this listing when you saw him?
Editor Rob
No, I was just talking about Joe.

I do think Wlad is very close to his listing. He wakes up to 6’6”. If he isn’t this he is at least 6’5” and possibly doesn’t dip below 196cm. Joe Mangianello in the other hand falls below his listing imho. Rob said 6’4.5/6’5 around lunch. I know a poster here Max met him and said at 6’5 1/2 that Joe was an inch shorter. 6’4.5 may be ok for Mangianello afternoon height

Just a what if scenario. In your head, Who are you more likely to meet? This guy or Bo Burnham? Or a tie?
Editor Rob
I think it is unlikely either, though never say never - I did manage to see a few decent boxing names over the years.
Dream said on 9/Sep/19

Now that you mentioned it before, I think you’re right: I also noticed how large Klitschko’s Torso is. It seems a little longer than his inseam.

On the Contrary, Burnham doesn’t have a large torso. Rather, his legs are rather long, a bit longer than his torso.

Basically, it’s more likely Klitschko will shrink a full inch, while Burnham won’t shrink as much, throughout the day.
Dream said on 6/Sep/19
@Canson Taller than Manganiello? Easily. Proportion-wise, I think Wladimir might look 6’6” to many people. In terms of tougher look, Wlad wins that category.

I think what makes Wlad, a hair, less intimidating is his rather high pitch voice.
Canson said on 5/Sep/19
@Dream: I would’ve immediately said Wlad would be the more intimidating of the two and Wlad is definitely the taller of the two.
Dream said on 23/Aug/19

No, I was just talking about Joe.
Dream said on 18/Aug/19

Who do you think has the better 'proportions' for being more intimidating, Wladimir Klitschko or Joe Manganiello? I'm betting Klitschko.
Editor Rob
Vladimir might have a more 'tougher' look, though he's not that kind of guy and Joe isn't that intimidating in person.

He's got a naturally higher pitched voice which he lowers a bit on screen...took me by surprise when talking with him at the autograph desk!
Dream said on 18/Aug/19

Both of them would definitely be taller than the overlisted Jimmy Butler, honestly. IMO!
Canson said on 5/Aug/19
@Dream: I think Wlad might lose an inch. He may be 6’6 or a hair over out of bed 6’5 or 6’5 1/8 at a low. Bo may too but I doubt it. Torso isn’t as long. I think 6’6-6’6 1/8 out of bed 6’5.25- 6’5 3/8 at a low. Your estimates are right on with those
Chris Junior Hernandez 1990 said on 5/Aug/19
Vitali is never 2" taller than Wlad not even 4.4cm and the max is 3.8-4cm. Bo Burham is an easy 197cm guy and Wlad is listed accurate at 6'5 1/4.
Dream said on 10/Jul/19

I definitely agree that’s Bo is at least 6’5 1/4” at a low. Honestly, Bo can look 6’5 1/2” at times. There was another episode where I saw Bo and Robbie Amell (who Rob has met): Bo dwarfed him like he made Robbie Amell look 5’9”. (This was from an episode I watched)

As for Wlad, he varies: Sometimes he looks closer to 6’6”. Other times, just 6’5”. I think the listings could be like this:

Bo Burnham: 6’5 3/8”
Wladimir Klitschko: 6’5 1/8”
Canson said on 8/Jul/19
@Dream: it’s possible both are a little over the mark but at the same time, I can almost guarantee that Bo is. I wouldn’t go any lower than his current listing. And you remember that we both told Rob that when he had him listed a bit Lower that he came out with that. 6’5 6’6 on a good day. Honestly He looked too low before but now he may be his listing but no lower. Now Wlad at times I’m unsure of. He may just be a flat 6’5 and lose an inch since he did claim he was 6’6 out of bed. And he has a long torso
Canson said on 7/Jul/19
@Dream: I can see Wlad dipping to 6’5 flat now that I’ve seen more and analyzed more
Dream said on 7/Jul/19

Truthfully, I would give Bo the edge, but it would be extremely close. At first glance, Wladimir looks intimidating. (He does have the right proportions of a Six Foot Five Guy, honestly.)

However, If I’m going by footwear, I would give Bo a tiny edge. Wladimir, at times, tends to wear lifts to make himself look even more big.

Bo tends to wear light footwear or even socks and he still gives a very big impression, even with, at times, his awkward posture.
Canson said on 6/Jul/19
@Dream: they’d either be the same or Bo a fraction taller. I can see Wlad with the longer torso dipping to maybe 196 6’5 1/8 whereas Bo I doubt goes much lower than Christian. 6’5.25 is probably his low

Bo Burnham, Howard Stern, and Bo Svenson are other examples of strong 6’5”ers. Though in terms of proportions, Bo (Burnham) comes off as the ‘lanky’ type, rather than the intimidating presence Wladimir has.

Apologies, i got my data wrong, a person's head is about 1/8th of his/her height. But i still stand with my point, Wlad's height is a solid 10+ inches. There is a minimum of 9.5 inches between a 5foot-8ish Amir Khan and Wladmir. Having seen his weigh-in photos and poses against various 6foot 5 boxers, i can comfortably say Wlad is a weak- 6foot, 6-inch guy. He is atleast an inch taller than 6foot 5 boxers such as Tony the Tiger Thompsons and towers over 6 foot 2 inchers like David Haye. I am sorry to say this. Unless he is measured at 6 foot 5.25, i would always maintain he ia above 6 foot 5.5 and i have seen enough to believe so. I do understans Rob has his reasons. Hence, i rest my case
Christian 6'5 3/8" said on 8/Dec/18

In Prowse's case, his head seems to be big even for a 6'6" guy. I'd say 10.25"-10.5" range or so. Btw, didn't you once say that you have a small head for your height, like 9"?
Canson said on 6/Dec/18
@Christian: I look at certain people like David Prowse that are said to have been 5” taller than they are now and I question. That’s until I see the size of his head. His head looks like that of a much taller guy and almost looks abnormal with a guy not thats no longer even half foot taller than Rob in reality.
Canson said on 6/Dec/18
I think he and Joshua both look close enough to their listed heights here on the site. If anything maybe give or take 1/8-1/4” tops
Christian 6'5 3/8" said on 6/Dec/18

The average ideal head length is ÷ 8 of a given height, so that means a 6 footer would on average have a 9 inch head. The average for someone like me or Wladimir would be 9.6"-9.7", which makes sense since I consider my head to be average and mine's 9.7". And Wladimir's seem to be around 10". 12" would be abnormally huge for someone our height. Your 1/6 ratio is wrong. It's more like 1/8.
Canson said on 4/Dec/18
@Christian: maybe that was taking it too far but it would suck big time. I would take 6’0 over 6’7”. Id probably even take 5’11” over it being it’s easier to add height than lose. You could throw an orthotic in and wear thick shoes (not even lifts) which make you appear taller (if desired)
Aswin Kini MK said on 4/Dec/18
Rob, I am not sure about Wladmir's head being lesser than 10.5. The reason is that an average 6 foot has a minimum 9.5-inch head. At least, in India, that is the case. There are some people like me who have abnormally large-head-body proportions. Considering that Wladmir is five inches taller than 6 foot, he should be having a minimum 10-11-inch head. I kept a conservative estimate at 10.5 inches because that is the normal proportion (I am saying this because my brother is a legit 6 foot 1.5 guy with a 11" head). If Wladmir's head is smaller than 10 inches, it would be very disproportionate to his entire head making him look odd. Maybe it's just my opinion, but I would like others to weigh in. Scientifically, a person has a head which is generally 1/6 of his total body size. If Wladmir is even 6 foot 5.25, which amounts to 77.25 inches. His head size has to be a minimum 12 inches - 10.5 at the minimum.

If my assumption is correct, your head size should be anywhere around 9-9.5 inches. Please do consider these calculations. These are not assumptions, but rather average estimates gathered from statistics.
Christian 6'5 3/8" said on 4/Dec/18

While I wouldn't hate life at 6'6" or 6'7", or even taller, it would be quite incovenient. If I had to choose between being 6'7" or 6'0", I'd go with 6'0".
Aswin Kini MK said on 3/Dec/18
Rob, I do not understand you sometimes. Look at the photo of Amir Khan standing near Wladmir Klitchko shown on the top of the page here and tell me truly, is there just a 9.25" inch difference between a 5 foot 8 Amir Khan and a supposedly, 6 foot 5.25 Klitschko???? I am 170 cms tall and have a 10-inch head. Wladmir Klitschko is definitely a strong 6-footer maxing at 6 foot 6. His head is a minimum 10.5-11 inches long. Amir Khan's head is just hitting Wlad's head. There is a strong difference, perhaps 10 inches here. Please tell me how.
Editor Rob
Well I don't think his head is as big as 10.5 inches. On average many people would think of Klitschko as 6ft 5.5, which he can look a fair bit.

@Dream: possible that Christian May edge him but Christian also gets down to 6’5.25 himself pretty often. He uses the 6’5 3/8 as he falls between 1/4-3/8 a lot. I used to use the 3/8 as well but not sure if I’ve lost a couple mm in height (in older than Christian at 36) but I have short hair now as well. I am more like 1/4-1/3” at a low now if anything but if you stood us back to back the consensus would be that Christian edges me by an inch and that he’s 6’5” if I claimed 6’4” which I would too

@Myself: wlad has a long torso for sure. Guys like that may lose a full inch in height which is why he claimed 6’6 (in the AM) and 6’5 (evening). He may be over 6’6 out of bed even. Whereas for me with a 35ish inseam I lose about 2cm some days 3/4”. My norm is 195.7-.8 before bed 193.7-193.9
Myself said on 22/May/18
@Canson How long is your inseam? Mine is about 88 cm, between 34 and 35 inches, for 192/192.3 height as the low. (i shrink between 2 to 2.3 cm usually) I think i have a pretty balanced torso to leg ratio, maybe a little longer torso for my height but i'm not sure. My hip bone is pretty large, so maybe that also contributes to the torso.

Anyway, looks like Vladimir has a very long neck, which makes a huge change when he is in a bad forward-head posture; In one of the videos linked by a user below, you can clearly see how his shoulder level is noticeably lower than that of AJ, but with the neck fully extended, he looked at least the same height to me, if not taller, or at least not much shorter.

@Bazza: I can lose a full 2cm now at 36 years old. I wake to 195.7 or 195.8 some days (usually 195.7) and come down to 193.7 these days. If I’m on my feet longer stretches at night for maybe 5 hours extra without a break I can get all the way to 193.1. I can lose 2.6cm in a day at an extreme low but I’ve only measured that low a handful of times that I’ve measured and it’s a truly compressed height because my back is compressed and I can feel it. But Klitschko is an inch taller than me perhaps. Maybe less but he apparently has a longer torso than I do. I’m built like Michael Jordan with an average torso and very long legs for a 6’4-6’4.5 guy. Wlad may only lose 3/4 as well. He may very well be what rob lists him on a normal day and only wake 6’6

Canson said on 13/Apr/18
He is 6’6” out of bed as he acknowledged. However, he stated that he’s 6’5” in the evening. Maybe he loses a full inch or it could’ve been a matter of him measuring at that height later in life or after a more demanding day. He also could be rounding down from 6’5.25 that Rob has him listed. Either way, I doubt he’s any higher than Rob lists him here but doubt he’s as low as 6’4.5 or 6’4.75. He is likely a full 6’5” at a low or maybe a solid 196 cm (6’5 1/8).

I think you put to much stock in that picture. They looked more similar in height when they took a picture in front of the camera. Joshua is naturally taller by posture with long legs and short neck. Wlad has long neck and torso that he needs to strech out to give his full height.

This footage is the best of the two of them measuring up. And i dont see Wlad in lifts compared to AJ from fight night. Same height differential.

It could’ve been because it was earlier in the Day or been rounded up from 3/8 not sure. I got told 6’4.75 once too but I can believe that being early morning now that I think about it. Because we were measured early morning sometimes then a couple late morning or afternoon. I would trust my Doctor tho and I would get right around 6’4.5 (6’4 3/8- 5/8) but had thicker hair too at one point than I do now. each time wasn’t till I came to this site that I saw the difference.
Canson said on 18/Feb/18
@Robbe: that’s possible. He may actually not even be a full 6’6” out of bed. May be 6’5.75 and said 6’6” in the morning like he did in the interview. Other possibility is with his long torso that he loses a full inch or more from 6’6 to 6’5 or 6’6 to 6’4.75
Robbe said on 18/Feb/18
@Canson, yeah, its very rare to gain height after you hit 20 years. Im exactly the same height now as i was when i left the army. The odds Wlad has gained 2-3cm moore height after 1996, is quite small. He was indeed 195cm when he won the Olympic gold in 1996.

We all know Wlad loves lifts, so he can look 198cm in many pics, but the truth is he is no moore than 195-196cm. Yet he managed to edge out Tyson Fury with his stuffed sneakers, which is worth mentioning. He is an artist!
Reece said on 17/Feb/18
@Robbe. Even in that picture Wlad still looks taller than 6-4.5 or 6-4 3/4. Wlad was listed as that at 20. Then they started 198cm listing, Wlad is only a tiny bit shorter and his posture is worse. He could even pull off as much as 197cm 6-5 1/2.
Canson said on 16/Feb/18
@Reece: that is very rare someone grows until 25. Most men stop around 18 or 19-20 at best. I have been the same height since 18 as are most people I know. Maybe a 19 or 20 here or there but 25 is absurd. And Wlad is an athlete he’s measured regularly enough so at his age he would know how tall he is. I doubt he would say he’s 6’5 if he’s really 6’6”. I mean sometimes we have to not think wishfully!
Canson said on 16/Feb/18
@Robbe: that particular site simply knocks half inch off every athlete for the olympics. Examples Vince carter Scottie Pippen etc. but it is evidence that Wlad likely isn’t over 6’5” tho since that would likely be his barefoot height. And yes he is looking up to AJ and that looks about the difference it should be maybe 2cm or so. Wlad could just be a solid 6’5 at his lowest
Robbe said on 16/Feb/18
Wlad was looking up when he talked to Joshua after the fight. Usually it means your shorter than the person your talking to.

Canson said on 15/Feb/18
@Reece: if Wlad says he’s 6’5 that’s likely what he is. Since he loses height throughout the day like everyone else him being 6’6 out of bed and 6’5.25 or flat 6’5 ar night is very realistic l. As an athlete I can’t see him lying down about his height. 6’6.5 on his site is a shoe height for him. And he wears lifts often. Lewis could be 194 but doubt any less than that tho.
Kiwi Lad said on 15/Feb/18
It's true that some men can grow into their twenties. Some also hit their max height at 13-14. E.g mike Tyson, who was fully grown height wise around that age. In regards to Wlad, who knows what his story is lol
Reece said on 15/Feb/18
In my opinion he looked taller than 195cm. Wlad looked the same as AJ from many angles some taller some shorter. I think 197cm still. I think 195cm is still too low. That would mean Vitali is 198cm and Lewis is 193cm. Too low in my eyes.
Canson said on 14/Feb/18
@Robbe: lewis’s Height is debatable. He likely measures 6’4.75 at some point but no guarantee that’s a low for him. Could be 194 at a low possibly. As for Vitaly he could be 199 at a low as he edges Wlad by roughly 4cm sometimes 1.5”. I don’t buy listed heights of anyone unless I have something reliable to gauge against. I think wlad is between 195.5-196 vs 196-197 at a low. Meaning 6’5/6’5 1’8 is likely. 196 is better
Robbe said on 14/Feb/18
Yeah, its possible of course to gain height after 20 years, but looking at Wlad after the Joshua fight, without lifts, he looked around 195cm. So my guess is, he hasnt gained height..
Reece said on 14/Feb/18
But if is also possible he has gained height. Men often grow till 21 and even less often till 25.Vitali was listed as 198cm but it is clear in pro boxing less than 200cm is not very likely for Vitali. It is very likely both grew a little more in height. Vitali always looked a strong 2 inches taller than Lewis who was listed as 6-4 3/4 often and towered over other boxers. Wladimir is defo taller than Lennox Lewis. He has to be 196 and the very least and most likely 197cm. Vitali does look 4cm taller. So probably 201cm or thereabouts.
Canson said on 12/Feb/18
@Robbe: I wasn’t aware of the 195
Robbe said on 11/Feb/18
@Canson, im not so sure about it. Wlad was measured 195cm at the Olympics 1996. He was 20 years, and 3 months old. Its moore than likely he hasnä't gain moore height since then. He was cleary shorter than Joshua after the fight when they stood side by side in the ring. Check the pics i posted on 2/Oct/17.
Canson said on 7/Feb/18
I’d say a full 196. he’s a strong 6’5. Rob has him listed close enough
Kiwi Lad said on 6/Feb/18
Closer to 195cm imo
even said on 25/Jan/18
nothing under 6 foot 5 nothing
Canson said on 10/Jan/18
He is close to AJ in height but still a good cm or so off. AJ is about an inch or so taller than Joe Mangianello. 6’5.5-.75 range while Wlad is 6’5-6’5.25. Rob has both Wlad and AJ listed close enough to their normal barefoot heights it could be a 1.5cm difference at best between them maybe just 1cm

196-196.2 vs 197-197.5
Dwain said on 28/Dec/17
Can really look very close to AJ.sometimes the same or taller or shorter. 197cm is very possible imo
Canson said on 30/Nov/17
@Robbe: and to me at least that’s the absolute most Wilder can be. 6’6.5 could be earlier in the day and may just be 6’6.25. But He actually looks shorter than 6’6.25 Carmelo Anthony due to camera angle. Melo is actually is pre draft height having seen him in person. A rarity in the NBA
Robbe said on 21/Nov/17
@184guy, i dont think Breazeale is 201cm. If you didn't notice, he was wearing shoes in staredown with A.J, while A.J. was in socks. Yet he wasn't much taller.

Here both men in shoes. Joshua probably in sneakers, and Breazeale in dress shoes.

That's not 3-4cm difference. Breazeale is no more than 199cm. Same height as Helenius/Wilder.
Canson said on 19/Nov/17
@Junior: you said it well as always! I’d say it’s about a 4cm difference

Wlad 196 (6’5-6’5.25)
Vitali 200. (6’6.5-6’7)
Junior said on 13/Nov/17
Vitali look like a weak 6'7 next to him.
Canson said on 6/Nov/17
@184guy: yea does seem like AJ inflates height. He called Wlad 6’7”. I still think you have prob the most precise estimate as to how they both look. At least appear. Wlad is close to what Rob has him maybe a flat 196 and AJ 197.5 at his lowest
184guy said on 4/Nov/17
Joshua said that Breazele was 6'10 when in the reality he looked every bit of his 6'7 billed height
Canson said on 30/Oct/17

Check Tony Bellew page, there is a video Parker vs Bellew, where Bellew (189cm) edges Parker out.
Reece said on 20/Oct/17
Parker I think is 6-3 flat and Takam about his 187cm listing. Parker could be 6-4 out of bed and with shoes on. That could be where it comes from
Faza said on 19/Oct/17
Takam is 6ft1.5 haye and joshua both called him 5ft11 lol parker is not much taller there at all from what i remember parker looked a bit taller when they fought not sure on parkers height could be 6ft2 range?
Robbe said on 19/Oct/17
Lol if Takam is 5'11-6ft, then Parker is no moore than 6'1 Click Here

Joshua seems to be lost with his claims. He's not the only one though..
Canson said on 18/Oct/17
Strong 6’5 196cm
Faza said on 18/Oct/17
Yh saw that myself reece he also said brezeale is 6ft8 he added an inch to all of them to he described pulev as 6ft4 he is listed 6ft4.5 interesting that his next opponent carlos takam is listed 6ft1.5 on boxrrec and joshua said he is 5ft11 and david haye also described takam at 5ft11 6ft with a solid build
Reece said on 18/Oct/17
AJ said yesterday on a Kugan interview that Wlad was 6 foot 7. Is he getting heights mixed up? He said Molina was 6 foot 5 as well? They are not that tall are they?

Just compare Wlad and AJ to Helenius. No lifts here:

Pianeta looks 189-190cm range.
Canson said on 29/Sep/17
@Robbe: he struggles to look 196 with the 192cm guy maybe because of the angle and posture. I think he's full 196 tho and no less than 195.6 maybe. 184guy had it right with aj 197.5 (maybe 197-197.5) and wlad 196

@Robbw. Pinneta is listed as 6-5 even though he doesn't look that tall. The first pic guy

@Reece: I'm assuming you haven't seen Lithgow or Selleck next to Conan both are taller as is Hasselhoff and Neeson. Conan no way was 6'4" peak. Likely out of bed just like Wlad is 6'6" out of bed
Canson said on 14/Sep/17
@Robbe: I've seen him on an incline before to greet guests but not sure if that was the case with Wlad. Also have seen Letterman on it before. I don't believe Letterman is as tall as Dob has him listed either. But what you said is correct a strong 6'5" guy and a 6'3" guy or strong 6'3" claiming 6'4"
Robbe said on 13/Sep/17
@Canson, there is no podium behind Conan's desk. Wlad's posture is very bad there, that's why they appear pretty much the same height. But i agree, Conan is no moore than 6'3, and Wlad is 6'5.
Reece said on 13/Sep/17
Conan was defo bigger than 191cm at his peak. More like 6-4 in his peak.
Canson said on 12/Sep/17
@dd: the problem with that pic is Conan likely is on a podium he appears a bit taller than Wlad. Conan asked him if he was 6'6/6'7 before likely a shoe height for Wlad (slightly rounded or if its in lofts possibly). My guesses

Conan 190.5-191 today (191 peak likely)
Wlad 196cm (Robs listing is fair doubt he's under a flat 6'5" at night or over what he has him listed at night)
Aswin MK said on 12/Sep/17
I would go with 6 foot 5.5 minimum or 6 foot 6. He was clearly taller than 6 foot 5 boxers such as Tony Thompson and looks equally tall when compared to Joshua :)

Editor Rob: yet he said he was 6ft 5.

Yes Rob, you're right, even many of us are constantly confused why he refuses to reveal his true height. He has fought many legitimate 6 foot 5 inch boxers and has at least looked 1 inch taller.

He looked a minimum of 4 inches taller than 6 foot 1.5ish David Haye, two-three inches taller than Kubrat Pulev, and as big as or equal to 6 foot 6 boxers such as Joshua.

Maybe he is around 6 foot 5.5 and just rounded off the other way shaving the 0.5 inch. I wouldn't say he is any less than 6 foot 5.5, there is way too much evidence for a 6 foot 5.5 because there have been a minimum of 10-12 weigh-ins where he has looked taller than every 6 foot 4+ boxer he has faced, In fact, the only boxers who have ever edged him out during his career have been Mauriz Wach, Tyson Fury and Joshua - the point to note is that all of these boxers were billed 6 foot 6 or taller. My guess is he is a srong 6 foot 5.5 guy. Unless he is weighing lifts in his shoes all the time, I cannot understand how he consistently looks taller than 6 foot 5 boxers.

@Robbe: that's a good question. I don't know if he said he's 6'4.5 or if he thought wlad was. But I have no reason to doubt wlads claim
Robbe said on 30/Aug/17
@Canson, when Wlad is wearing his famous 2.5-3in lifts as he did with Fury, he certainly doesn't have to look up at anybody :D
In boxing shoes it's different, he have to look up at several boxers, Helenius, Wilder, Vitali, Fury, Ustinov, Wach, Breazeale, Granat, Dimitrenko + many others.

Btw, that Sky Sports reporter, Jim White, is nowhere near 6'4.5, wonder why he claims such? Somekind of inside joke maybe? Looking at the pictures, he looks around 5'10 (178cm).
Canson said on 27/Aug/17
I see what you said now. My bad. you said at least 196 and could be -98. He admitted 6'6" In the morning 6'5" in the evening. What stood out for me as well was when he mentioned his brother that he's the only one he has to look up at
