Billie often seems shorter than he is when standing next to people because the shoes he usually wears adds no height, unlike many tennis shoes commonly wore by most people that add an inch or more to height.

I would say he is 5'6. For reference my dad is 5'7.5. I met BJ twice and stood right next to him on one of those occasions and I would say hes noticeably shorter than my dad. Minimum of 5'5 though, no way is he 5'2 haha! I've also stood right next to the other members of Green Day and I would hazzard a guess that Mike is 5'8 and Tre is 5'4.

My son is 5' 6'' and BJ has walked past him at shows. My son said ''he's shorter than me, he's tiny''. No taller than 5'5'' at best.

I have always considered him to be 5'6", 5'7" with sneakers. A lot of people seem to surpass the fact, that shoes affect height. Im not saying he uses big boots or anything, but shoes are usually a good explanation for celebrities height variabilities

5"2/3 is completely INCORRECT. I am 5"3 and Billie Joe is taller than me, trust me. I would think 5"5 or 5"6.

to the comment of 5'2 totally incorrect.... i am a girl and only 5'3 he exceeds my height by quite a lot 5'7 seems correct standing straight he is about the size of my mother (i happen to be the shortest in my family) so....

I saw him at "American Idiot," I'm 5'10" and he was a little above my eye so 5'7" seems correct. Awesome guy though!

I'm 13 years old and 5'5 but I was right next to Billie when he came out of the stage door in American Idiot, I was shorter then, and I was still slightly taller than him.

i think that billie joe armstrong is a little more.i think over 1.73.But if he really is 1.70 is OK!hE IS not tall but he is not short!

When I met him at a concert,I compared my dads height to his cause my dad is 5ft.9' and he's about 5ft.7' and for those who are comparing with the use of fuse because i seen that too and the cameras acualy make him look shorter then he acualy is,so don't just asume because i acualy met him.

Also, the fact that Billy uses a 3/4th size guitar only supports him being a around 5ft 2'.

Well he may not be 5'7"...but believe me, he's not as short as 5'2" 5'3"

hahahahahaha.. no he is not! maybe 5'5.. i'm 5'7 for sure (people think i'm taller but went to the doctor and he confirm my 5'7) and that dude is not 5'7, i met him and talk to him and everything. And there is a picture of him with juliette lewis (who is also not as tall as they say) and she is short as well, i went to her show in atl and she is a little thing.. i don't know why they say they are taller than they really are.. he is very talented and that is all i care..

I met him in Toronto in August, he is the height of one of my friends, who is 5'7", I'm 5'2" so it was nice to be able to see his gorgeous eyes, so deep. it was truly an out of body experience for me, i'll never forget how paralyzed i felt, what a moment in time. I don't know the right word for how that made me feel but it was beautiful.
It has always been my big dream to look into those eyes of these men who has written such beautiful and important music.
My husband is 6' tall now I wish he'd be a bit shorter, to spare my neck xD
