Where does Conan say that he’s “a little over 6’4”? He just says he’s 6’4” there not a little over. His “claim” is no different than Magic claiming 6’9”. Conan is definitely closer to his than Magic is but until we actually measure Conan we won’t know. At least guys like Magic have true barefoot measurements in the books

I used to think Conan had more footwear but he doesn’t looking very closely. That looks like a canvas shoe but maybe I’m wrong. But It’s difficult to see it because of the limited exposure their feet have. They’re either the same amount of footwear or Magic could have even more to be honest. I can’t tell if that’s a sneaker or a canvas shoe. If a sneaker that may be a 3/8” difference between he and Magic. However, I don’t see just 3-3.5” between them. That’s a 4” difference. At times 4.25 other times 3.5-4” like Nils2 said. I would say it’s 3.75”. Conan is up to Magic’s eyebrows at absolute best and their are points when he’s below the eyebrow level. I’d have an easier time believing Magic was 6’8” if he claimed it than 6’9” simply because he’s not as tall as Larry Bird.

Yes and Conan is not the case. I’m 6’4.25 (6’5.25 in a 1” shoe) and although under a more modern doorway or doorframe I don’t come close I can tell the difference. About Magic, tbh i have no idea i haven't seen much of him. I just assume Rob has him fairly accurate.

If not canvas shoes I doubt they are 1” either way but if you fast forward to 1:30-2:00 you can tell that they are of a low cut nature. They do not look like a .75-1” shoe. Conan appears to have a regular sneaker which would give approximately an inch. At least that’s perception because the video doesn’t show them up close

@Jesusisking: it’s hard to tell. Conan looks taller when they are getting ready to sit like Rob said but I think it’s the angle. The other guy looked tall sitting at least and proportionately he looks taller than Conan imho. We don’t know how tall Schmidt actually is though

Magic is wearing a 0.75-1 inch adidas shoe. I believe the ones conan has would be about the same, the type Conan has would be 1.8cm-2.2cm depending on what exact brand that is.. maybe you could help me out here Rob am i wrong?

@Junior: I don’t know about that. a friend of mine I used to work with met him and said he looked 6’7” in person. Maybe that does mean 6’7.25 being my friend was 6’3.75” then. But next to Kobe at 6’4.75” that looks right 6’7 flat maybe

@Junior: the NBA measures in the AM tho. Look at the others around the league who got measured this pre season and theirs are clearly morning heights. Luka Doncic for example. Draymond best case was measured maybe a couple hours out and was 196 range but worst case he may just be a weak 6’5” or maybe 6’4 7/8. My guess is he was around 6’5.5 or 6’5 3/8 or 1/4” an hour out of bed and that he’s 6’5” flat afternoon. Either way it shows how absurd Conan’s 6’4” looks next to him. Mickie May have been right all along. He guessed Conan to be within 1/4” in each direction of him and he’s 6’3.25. So Conan May be 6’3.5 or 6’3” worst case. You keep mentioning Padalecki and that Conan edged him. He didn’t at all points. There were times when Padalecki edged him. My guess is they’re around the same height or Jared even 1/4” taller before we address footwear. Padalecki looks a legit 6’4” guy. Editor RobSome expensive shoes might have more solid/thicker insoles, it is something that is hard to predict...you could have shoe with 1mm, another with 3-5mm worth of insole.

There are dress shoes heels made to be 4-5cm high but wear into it often it will compress down 1/8 or 5mm lesser than it looks from the heels you see and there are boat shoes that look 5/8 inch heels and atually given near 1/2 insoles in it that push 1.1". Some shoes are tricky nowadays not just looking from outside it given more when you wear it in or could be a bit less in such case too. @184guy: that’s the most I could buy at his peak is 6’3.5”. I could see 6’3.25 today (perhaps). Conan is sometimes tough to gauge because of his hair which is why a lot of people assume he’s 6’4. His lanky build doesn’t help matters either. I’ve always guessed 6’3.25 mainly because of how someone like Kobe stacks up with him 1.5” or maybe 4cm. @184guy: that’s the most I could buy at his peak is 6’3.5”. I could see 6’3.25 today (perhaps). Conan is sometimes tough to gauge because of his hair which is why a lot of people assume he’s 6’4. His lanky build doesn’t help matters either. I’ve always guessed 6’3.25 mainly because of how someone like Kobe stacks up with him 1.5” or maybe 4cm. A 6'3.25 it's pretty similar to a 6'3.75 one . I used to think Conan was 6'4 but after a lot of evidences I believe he falls into the weak 6'4 category , around 192cms , but still no less than 6'3.5 as he had a decent amount on guys like Zachary Levi and Chris Hemsworth .

It's still not elevator shoes compare to a 5-6cm thickness often wore by Robert Downey Jr, Tom Cruise, Johnny Depp on sets and i notice Jensen Ackles had wear those pair of thick boots look to be near 5cm or 1.75" on Supernatural to make 6'4 Jared Padalecki look big 6'3-ish next to him. Don't underestimate wrestling boots some were input extra insoles/orthotics to make it a full 2" or close to it you wouldn't know and alot of wrestler in person were 3-4" shorter than their official listing on the internet.

Can't take too much from just that one shot. Conan likely 6'3.5"-ish in his prime. I'd give Lillard 6'3.25". The difference looks greater there but there are times the camera can play tricks.

Interesting departure from the usual O'Brien Show entrance/greeting perspective in which O'Brien, further from camera, is usually disadvantaged a bit.
Initially both O'Brien and his guest were pretty much in equal proximity to camera - a pretty square shot - no advantage to either man - if anyone there is possibly an ever so slight advantage to Lillard - usually you can see a lot more of the guests back but in this case we see little if none of Lillards back - it doesn't last long though before Lillard moves back toward his seat while Conan turns a bit moving even closer to camera - in that moment Conan "appears" to gain some serious height advantage but it is illusory IMO.

Pics of Momoa and O'Brien on stage were posted to Momoa's page - I was surprised there were no follow up comments in ref. to same. In my eyes while both weren't perfectly postured Jason was still clearly the taller of the two. 1/4 inch is a very fine difference - a 1/4" advantage is potentially lost and even eclipsed with the slightest slouch. Personally I feel Momoa held a stronger advantage than just 1/4" over O'Brien - it has to be about 1/2 inch advantage he holds imo - so I remain Conan 6'3.25" and currently give Momoa about 6'3.75" - I cannot speak on ther footwear though

In the second where Pete went on Conan , throughout all the first seconds they greet each other , Conan looks TALLER than Pete , but he maybe had a certain footwear advantage ( certain not 1 cm like dress shoes x converse ) and Pete is standing with a bit lazy posture , but they looked pretty near in height , more than the first video . I would still give Conan 6'3 3/4 lowest not under it (possible going to be 6'3 1/2 soon). Peak Liam Neeson now i gave 6'4 lowest and Jared Padalecki both, thinking back on a young David Hasselhoff have higher chance to be 193.5cm for lowest measurement than both. Hoff and Jeff Goldblum at young could easily be 6'4 1/4 downplay the 1/4 bit more.

Let’s also keep in mind Zachary Levi has less footwear, meaning the difference would be less. Honestly, Pete Holmes actually ‘looks’ at least 2 inches taller Conan (in the screen shot, linked). Zachary looks to be a lot less than 2 inches. Just over 1 inch shorter than Conan. However, Zachary Levi has less footwear, so maybe it becomes even less. Probably 1 inch at max.
Oh and the screenshot with Pete Holmes and Conan, that’s a few seconds ‘before’ Conan ‘jumped’ just to be eye to eye with Pete, solidifying that Pete is visibly taller. Over 1 inch taller than Conan for sure.
