John Francis Daley is the kind of person that can make himelf look taller next to other people because of how lanky he is.
If you have ever seen the episodes of Kitchen Confidential a show that he was on you would know what I'm talking about because there were alot of times that John looked taller then 6'1 Bradley Cooper.

I would say he's more like 6'0.5" - 6'0.75" out of bed. The guy never, ever looked anything close to 6'2" on Angel. He was blatantly shorter than the 6'2" - 6'3" actors on the show. two ropey pics for your consideration. first with greg grunberg who is listed here at 6'1. grunberg is leaning alot but adjusting for that they looks similar.
second is even more ropey with joshua jackson (6'1.5 on this site). david is leaning into the camera and its very hard to gage the difference between the two. the best guess is that jackson is slightly taller if boreanaz straightens up. david does look 6'1.

Marsters is actually more of a flat 5'9" and SMG is just shy of 5'3".

1. They are doing yoga, and are mid-pose
2. David is closer to the camera
Nathan Fillion without a doubt looked taller next to SMG than Boreanaz did. Fillion looked taller next to Adam Baldwin than Boreanaz did. Fillion has a solid inch at least on Boreanaz.
Boreanaz regularly comes off as a ~5'11" guy due to posture, he's looks 6'0.5" only when he stands tall.

Like I've said David has always had bad posture thanks to his knee injury but when he stands up straight he is a full 6'1½ although you rarely see it thanks to his limp.
As for James Marsters he's 5'9½ and Sarah is 5'3 at the very most so Da Man is right there.

Actually Riley was in huge army boots when David and Marc shot there scenes together in Season 4 of Buffy as for Wesley and Gunn being taller well David has always had posture problems until now that and Gunn was always where boots as for Alexis and David they look pretty much the same height when David is stand up straight.

No what I was saying with that J was most times where either mountain boots or had lifts in his shows come Season 5 that made him look that tall.

Actually J August was in inch taller then him and J was wereing lifts in shoes because they wanted Gunn to be 6,4-6,5.
Fry was about 2 and half inches taller then him David my look shorter then he actually is because he has major trouble with his posture even to this day from that old knee injury he had in college playing football and all notice how he never stands up straight like everyone eles and he's always slouching.

Boots don´t make Amy Acker go from 5 ft 8 in (173 cm) Tall to 6 ft 2 Tall if we assume that David is 6 ft 2 tall witch I have proved before isn´t the case.

Hmm...here's an interesting guy, I have always thought him to be his advertised height. I'm not sure if Alan Cumming really is the 5'10" that he's advertised at, but in this pic Dave really does look about 3 inches taller than Cumming. I've never met Dave, but in comparison to Dido (about 5'7") and Cumming he really does look about 6'1".

He definately looks a well built 6'0"-6'1", he's actually listed at 6'2" in many places and is never listed as being anything less than 6'1". But seeing him in many pictures and on many shows it is very possibly he is slightly shorter than 6'1". I've never met him, but the height listed for him here could be spot on. There is a picture of him with 6'0" hockey player Matthew Barnaby and they do look about the same height, Dave is definately not shorter than Barnaby. |
