Wahlberg is 5'7.5"-5'8". Pitt wears big lifts 24/7 and Damon doesn't consistently appear 2 inches shorter than Clooney. Clooney is 5'10.5" and they can look close in height, though Clooney is clearly taller.

Why are you even denying that you're Tellem? You're estimates are the exact same and so is your typing style as well as the points you bring up. Tellem always brought up Joaquin Phoenix's 5'7" estimate.

And if Don Cheadle and Matt Damon is such good evidence then you can't ignore Clooney and Damon in socks when Clooney does not have 2 inches on damon.

And seriously, you're bringing up Pitt as evidence that Damon is 5'8"? Pitt is consistently taller than Edward Norton these days, even on video, Pitt may be 5'10", but he sure as hell doesn't appear 5'10" in premieres and movies which is what counts when comparing him to Damon because we do not have a liftless comparison of the 2.

There are basically only two heights: too tall and too short. Clint Walker was too tall. He had to be picky about the guys with whom he fought on screen lest the confrontation lacked drama. Unless he was careful he would look like he was picking on a little guy. I think George Kennedy got his start playing the villain to Walker's hero.

Clooney is basically too short for almost all of the roles he plays. He comments on the height of others and seems to wear special shoes. His life would be easier if he were six two.

In The Good German he looked quite short. He seemed to be the shortest guy in the crowd scenes and he didn't fill the doorways. Maybe Germans and German doors are bigger?

I don't really care. He's taller than the averge man and of course much better looking. The only problem is that Hollywood male action roles seem to assume a man of about six two and George always seems to be a bit shorter than the character conceived of in the screen play.

In "From dusk till down" (What a great movie!) a Seth's Geko mug shot is shown, nailing him @75", that is 190cm. Well, that's right for the character, but in the reality you can see in various close shots that Tarantino has a 2-3" easy on Clooney. Tarantino is 6'1" give or take half an inch, that makes clooney a smidgeon under 5'11".

If he's ever claimed 5' 11" it's a total lie... nobody in Hollywood is 5' 11". A legit 5' 11"er would claim 6' 0" as they can easily pull it off. As for him claiming 5' 11.5" (the 'and a half' is added to sound as though he's being honest and accurate). Don't be fooled when people add 'halfs' after around 5' 10" plus.

Rob just out of interest, what made you decide to add 0.25 of an inch? Half an inch yeah, but 0.25 is surely too hard to make out without physically measuring somebody.
