Looking at the picture with Ford with Daniel Craig, it's pretty apparent looking at his footwear that Daniel Craig is wearing lifts. The arch of his foot it much too high to be wearing normal dress shoes, whereas Ford is wearing normal dress shoes. Ford is still slightly taller than him, putting him at around 6'0.5" in dress shoes, making him about 5'11.5" barefoot today. I believe the height listed here, 6'1" peak, 5'11.5" today.

thank you slysi. I think I may have over estimated the heigt of the staff of Ra in relatuon to Harrison. Ckearly it is only a head's length taller than him. The average head length, including turban is 12" or 1' so I'd like to propose a new calculation: 6 ft take away 1 kadan Yto honor the hebrew god) makes the staff 5 ft and Harrison a much more respectable 4 ft. Maybe 4ft 1, as it is a bad camera angle and 6 kadan is only ROUGHLY 72 inches, so we're working with estimates from the start. I agree, Dmeyer. Ford looked no taller than Craig, although Ford's posture is very poor these days, he couldn't have had him by more than a cm or 2. Not mention, he often looks 179.5-180cm, again, you have to account for posture, but he just doesn't look over 5'11 anymore.
For now, I say drop both hi peak height AND current height 0.25in. I am 100% certain Ford measured 6ft1 in his prime, but he was a weak 6ft1. That is to say, he most likely measured 185.5-186cm first thing in the morning, but by lunchtime he was a tad under 6'1", and by the time he went to sleep at night, he may have even been near 6ft0.5in, but not lower than that.
Nowadays, he hits 5'11", FLAT, though this is his lowest height, in the evening, and is probably 181cm range in the afternoon, if he stood up straight.
In conclusion:

Yeah Ford looks to me a chronic sloucher. I think Rob's estimate on his current height is spot on, can look 5'11 and 6 ft at the same time, which also matches up to near 5'11.5er Frank2's estimate; it's hard to differentiate half in difference, but the peak and current height listing is fine for Ford, give or take 1/2 in
I've looked at the Ford & Craig's recent pic, and here's my deduction.
- On 1 pic, when Ford put his hand behind his back, he actually standing 1/2 in shorter than his 5'11.5 erect height. This is mentioned by Rob and Mamun, on the discussion of Willis' height. So on that moment, Ford is 5'11. Craig is a few step closer to the camera, but he bends his leg slightly, so I guess any camera advangtage is mostly negated. And Craig looks the same height if not edging a hair over Ford. So Craig looks 5'11.25, which can only mean he's having 1 in lift in his 1.25 dress shoes or some kind of standard elevator shoes (Don-type ) to look 1in taller than his strong 5'10 height, and his shoes do look suspicious.

I think the injuries he sustained made his posture worse as opposed too actually knocking a lot off height.

In Working Girl gave a 5'10 'illusion'. Bad posture? It was clear even by then that all those years of stunts and injuires took a toll on his posture for sure, esspecially the hernia he went through in the temple of doom.
6'2 and even a full 6'1 is unlikely for his peak though and even in normal sized trianers he would get no higher than 187cm.

There is a reason why men and women lose their height with age, its not that their bones get smaller, its the cartilage in the bones that recede with age, especially in the spine, the aging process can take away as much as three inches of height, and this is mostly due to cartilage. You see I think Richard Harris could have potentially have been 6'1.5 at his peak although I think judging what people have been saying that is unlikely.
The thing is in Patriot Games in the bar scene he looked for sure 1 inch taller than Harrison Ford. by the time of patriot games given that richard was in his early 60's could have been a little bit shorter than his peak. if his peak was 6'1 then he would have been around 6'0 in that movie. taking all this into account that would make harrison like 5'11 in that film? I thought Harrison Ford did look 5'11 in patriot games.
Maybe Ford is not as tall as we are led to belive. its been commentented as well how small Liam Neeson made Harrison Ford look also in k-19 widowmaker. I think defenintly by k-19 Ford was for sure no more than 6'0 (183cm)and Liam Neeson could have been 6'4.25 (194cm).
That said in Raiders of the Lost Ark in the early 80's did look tall and I think by the late 80's and early 90's post temple of doom his posture and stance the way he carried himself was poorer becasuse of the injury he sustained in the temple of doom and various other injuries throughout his stunt man/film carrier.
