Methinks the person who does not think Jay whould SHRINK in heigth as OTHERS HAVE and DO has NO clue as to the facts.
I am 76, played football in HS and JC, was a Life Guard at both a city swimming pool and a resort hotel in Miami Beach, Fl, as well as being a paratrooper. So the odds are I was in better shape than Leno has ever been.

Thanks for all of your kind remarks ! Yes A it is the same T shirt ! I have a feeling that barefoot the story would have been completely different ! You also have to remember that I never told Jay that this picture would be used to compare heights ! So he was trying to be as warm to me as possible with that pose which means " PEACE " in LA ! Still I am very very grateful to my " Uncle Jay " for everything !

well...I find him one of the harder celebs to judge. I think Jay often looks different with the same celebrity guest on different visits. Of course footwear varies, but with him it seems pronounced.
BTW, Jay's pose in this photo is indicative that he senses that he towers over Mamun. But that could just be Jay's false perception. I think if you ask Jay, considering his self-proclaimed 5-10, he would underestimate Mamun's height. A says on 22/Jul/11

But yeah, 5'10.5" could still fit him, maybe 5'10.25". I think when Leno was younger he was probably something like 5'11.25" out of bed and 5'10.5" - 5'10.75" as the day wore on. Most people would call that 5'11". Now that he's over 60 years of age, it's very possible that he's lost a little height, especially if he's a motorcycle enthusiast. Height often comes up in his car videos when hes testing cars and he always says hes a 6ft guy which I sometimes found to be maybe a tad generous. I have no problem believing he was 6ft or even more in his 20s and 30s but like he also often says that the only exercise he does is putting the food in his mouth, it is very likely he shrunk. Weight gain, sitting, bad posture, no exercise does that to you.
